Sea have a wonderful time, it's absolutely beautiful in the Mumbles , if you can get there try Bosherton lily ponds it's breathtaking there 🤗

Mrsmadevans · 12/08/2020 21:23

Good luck to your DD North 😃👏

Mrsmadevans · 12/08/2020 21:24

@Mrsmadevans

Good luck to your DD North 😃👏
Ahem that should be DS 🙄 sorry North 🤗
Mrsmadevans · 12/08/2020 21:26

Yes Sea it's been really awful for the youngsters and their education. I'm so glad the exam boards are being understanding 🤗

Unescorted · 12/08/2020 21:31

Adora DD is doing an Oxford or bust - she didn't even bother confirming an insurance place. She rather do a foundation year via clearing and reapply next year.

Mrsmadevans · 12/08/2020 21:32

Unescorted l know the obsession with privacy and data theft almost makes me blasé about mine 😂
All the best to your DD , something tells me she will be exceeding her predicted grades .
🤗

Unescorted · 12/08/2020 21:38

You and me both.

just for you guys

Unescorted · 12/08/2020 21:39

It is her public page so she is happy for it to be shared...

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 12/08/2020 21:46

Oh wow Unescorted, your daughter is so talented!
Does she know how bloody gorgeous she is?!

Wolfcub · 12/08/2020 21:49

Wow Unescorted she is incredibly talented

curvy we tell her every day. Father's looks Mother's brains - no idea where she gets the art from.

wolf She used to spend all of her time in the art classrooms to avoid being picked on. What you see there is 1000's of hours of practice. She had a lovely conversation with Steve Bate (Paralympian Cycling) the other day about talent vs sheer hard work. Like you I would say talent - they would both say hard hard work. It was lovely to see both of them come from really different angles to have the same view.

ememem84 · 12/08/2020 22:08

unescorted dds work is incredible. I say the “photo” of Liam Gallagher. Then realised it wasn’t a photo....

Also - she’s bloody gorgeous.

Best of luck for her. Xxx

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 12/08/2020 22:16

It's been ridiculously hot today, I went and had a random cold shower this afternoon as I felt so hot and gross!! A storm is forecast for tonight but no signs yet...

Well done to you and the kids sea on the walk, we walked from Beer to Branscombe and back again last week in Devon and that nearly killed us!! Even the dog was flagging on the way back 🤣

Went into town today, spent £18 in Holland and Barrett on some nice hair stuff and vitamins, took some clothes back £12 back in and bought some bird food £3.

Dd is off to Wales on Sunday with my mum for 3 nights, they're going to Pembrokeshire and are staying in an old fashioned waggon! Should be fun.

Mrsmadevans · 12/08/2020 22:19

I was lucky enough to see some of her work when you shared it a few months back Unescorted
l realised then she was very talented, as well as beautiful Smile

Mrsmadevans · 12/08/2020 22:22

Girlie is it here ?
www.folly-farm.co.uk/holiday-park/showmans-wagons/
If so, it's lovely she is in for a real treat Smile

SnugglySnerd · 12/08/2020 22:25

Good luck with A levels tomorrow 🍀

We've been watching the meteor shower, we spotted 7 and then realised it was well after 10pm and dd1 was still up! She's had a great evening star gazing but I expect we'll pay for it by tomorrow afternoon!!

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 12/08/2020 22:27

Unescorted, does she doubt herself?
She really shouldn't.
And I'm sure she has your looks as well as your brains!

Unescorted · 12/08/2020 22:28

snuggly The meteors have been amazing. I

ChristmasSeacow · 12/08/2020 23:07

I get that practice makes a huge difference, but I don’t think most people would get anywhere near that standard even with twice the hard work. That is Actual Talent.

A quick one for Mrs and Fear. Are there any really nice ice cream places in the area, do you know? I’d like to take the kids out for a lovely
Ice cream (it’s a big deal for DS to be tempted to choose for himself). Don’t mind a drive. Forecast for the next week is crap so we need a few plans that are not weather-dependent!

howlathebees · 12/08/2020 23:18

Thank you for the Dino love, his little arms get me everytime😂.

snuggly I’ve been meal planning but I’m really struggling to get ideas.

Sorry you didn’t have a good night em

mrs and unescorted I’ve been pulled up for ‘outing’ myself too😂. I only post stuff I don’t mind sharing!, which is just about everything, the only thing that I definitely won’t share is the DC’s faces just because I don’t want them to be embarrassed when they’re older if there’s a silly photo of them on the internet!

Where are you sea that’s gorgeous, we’re off to wales the end of the month. We go on my birthday for a week!. I might join the national trust as well!

Oh my gosh unescorted how incredibly talented and beautiful is your DD!! You must be so proud of her.

£343 on a week away to wales, I think that’s so cheap! Includes the dogs and also WiFi for 4 devices!. It’s an old campsite I went to as a child so I’m really excited to finally take the lads, I’ve always said I wanted to take the kids every year but never had the money too and the idea of putting a tent up with 3 little ones was daunting but now we have the camper I feel much better about it!.

DC4 kicked for the first time today! We have also decided upon a name!

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 12/08/2020 23:25

No Mrs the waggon they're staying in is in the middle of a field and is pretty basic, they'll basically be camping! My mum keeps going on about the good Welsh air though 😁

howlathebees · 12/08/2020 23:36

Just spent £42.97 on water bottles for the kids. DH and I have big bottles with all our water for the day so have got some smaller ones for the DC with the amount of water they need to drink for the day, it has little pictures on it to tell you how much to drink and they’ve all got their favourite colours plus a straw. It will make me feel more at ease about how much they’re drinking especially in this heat, and also might encourage them to drink a bit more

northender · 13/08/2020 05:41

Thanks unescorted. I'm awake now despite far too much wine sitting out in the garden last night!

Unescorted · 13/08/2020 06:39

There may have been lots of wine here too. This is going to be the longest 90 minutes.

curvy she doesn't doubt herself, but sets incredibly high standards for herself. She needs 3 As to take up he offer, but wants 3A*. I think she is good enough and her teachers think she is good enough but with all the mess with regrading it is no longer as certain as it was.

SnugglySnerd · 13/08/2020 07:20

Howl I have discovered the recipe section of the Tesco website. It's really good, organised in sections like family meals, veggie, bbq and so on and you can save recipes in a binder.

I have not slept well, very tired.
