Our gyms etc are open here and pools. Although no changing rooms or showers available.

You have to go to the pool “beach ready” and change by the side of the pool. Lane swimming only for an hour at a time.

Wolfcub · 22/06/2020 14:46

Lane I follow her of fb and want some leggings. Do they do that annoying rolling or sliding down during exercise?

LaneBoy · 22/06/2020 15:36

I find they don’t wolf which is a relief as it’s the main thing that made me want them :o

Tesco sort of resolved. Had to just cancel the order as they can’t book more than one per week even under the circumstances, so I’ll just add what I can to tomorrow’s without going over the item limit. They did give me a voucher for a tenner though.

Oh my god I love them. The gecko ones. London. Crazy Charlie.
What the size like. I'm between 2 should I go up or down?

lifelongfrugaleer · 22/06/2020 17:45

£23.60 on leggings. Now I need a vest and trainers to match.

Wolfcub · 22/06/2020 18:01

I love the gecko ones.

I have wine.

Happierwithouthim · 22/06/2020 18:06

Ah here I've no chance of catching up just going to start from today

€140 on two front tyres got 18 months from last ones so can't complain

I also booked mini break with dc two nights in a hotel around halfway between home and my parents. So could sandwich it between a visit there. For August when I've hols booked from work for a week.

LaneBoy · 22/06/2020 18:19

Yay life :o I think there is a thing they mention on the group about sizing up or down but I can’t remember, I’ve ordered the same size as my first pair even though I’ve shrunk a teeny bit but they didn’t have the next one down anyway so meh.

Was it the geckos you went for? They were on my shortlist 🤩 I love geckos. I can’t remember the Charlie ones so I shall go look again 😅

I’ve not found a top I like to work out in yet, even longer stuff seems to ride up and I always feel a bit self conscious at the gym when I’m doing some of the machines! Obv at home it doesn’t matter though.

We are watching the red dwarf movie 😅 it was one of DH’s Father’s Day presents

It’s the active ones I have BTW, which are the main bulk of the leggings, they do casuals as well but I don’t like regular leggings. Their loungewear seems amazing but I can’t justify those atm as I have plenty of pj trousers

ememem84 · 22/06/2020 18:28

I do not need new gym wear. If I can lose the 10kg I want to I’ll buy some.

LonelyOversharer · 22/06/2020 18:35

Um... Hi?
It's been quite a while!
How are you all doing?
This is literally the first time I've opened mumsnet in forever and couldn't resist snooping at the thread.
Feels a bit weird but I might hang around for a bit if you'll have me?

northender · 22/06/2020 18:41

lonely soooooo lovely to see you, how are you doing?

Wolfcub · 22/06/2020 18:50

Lonely helooooo. It's absolutely bloody wonderful to see you

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 22/06/2020 19:03

Aww hello lonely, we missed you!

Em OMG your little girl is so cute, how old is she now (in my head she's about 4 months!)

Boring work day here, nsd though.

LaneBoy · 22/06/2020 19:08

OMFG LONELY!!! 😱😱😱 it is so lovely to see you! How are you all?!

I have name changed since you were last here, but I still call the DCs the Caglets, and Cagletini still has her lovely green and pink blanket Wink

Ooh hello lonely, my lovely it is great to see you!
Hope you have been keeping well.

ememem84 · 22/06/2020 19:16

LONELY Hi!!!!! I thought of you the other day - was washing ds’ blanket and wondered how you were doing.

Of course we’ll have you!

Dcs are in bed dh is baking a camenbert. I am excited.

Nursery bags are ready and in the car.

Unescorted · 22/06/2020 19:19

OMG - Lonely you are back! It is lovely to see you.. I have missed you so much. I rode the C2C (Walney to Whitby route) last year - I thought of you as I was going over the hills. How are your girls and DP?

Wolf can we start a crowd funder for your new patio. He really is a lot bit of a dick. Well done on not launching - although I think there would be mitigating circumstances.

Em she is so adorable. Baby DMs would be so cute.

Lane glad you got the shopping sorted.

Someone stole my weekend.... Pouffe and it has gone. I nearly did a duvet day today and then realised I could and no one would know. Weirdly I got up and logged on. I am going to book some time off before my head melts.

There was one highlight - DD asked if I would do paper engineering for her art work so her kids can have an endless supply of pop up books for her babies when she has them. I have many years to practice...

LaneBoy · 22/06/2020 19:21

Ooh that sounds amazing unescorted! Making a pop up/interactive book was one of my absolute favourite school projects. I need to do something like that with DS actually, might build it into next term’s plans :o

LonelyOversharer · 22/06/2020 19:32

Hi!
Thanks, I was a bit tentative about stopping by as I kind of just dissapeared without reason.

Anyhoo we are all same as really!

I was furloughed and then back 3 weeks ago. I was meant to be refurloughed from this week as there's no work to do, but that lasted 3 hours and so I took a day's holiday instead and am back in tomorrow!

The dc are feral, not a lot of work going on here!

DD1 stormed her GCSE's and is already half way through her A-levels, she's still dead set on Law.

Dp limps on (literally) all appointments postponed so just treading water for now.

But I'm super! Lockdown was surprisingly easy with my lot, and it was so good to have my job to go back to.

Money wise I'm up shit creek, so no change there, except it doesn't stress me out anymore. My ex went a year without paying anything, and at least I don't feel physically sick when I have to message him now. Tax credits messed up twice, but hopefully that's sorted now too.

My God my dc eat a lot!

Will catch up a bit more, but thanks for the welcome back. em wow your dd is squinky gorgeous!

Happierwithouthim · 22/06/2020 19:33

Lonely we've missed you terribly Wink
Welcome back any other lurkers please join us too!

Ds's wetsuit arrived except it's aswimsuit material not wetsuit I messed up forgot I ordered Carrie jeans for myse of too Shock

SnugglySnerd · 22/06/2020 19:41

Welcome back Lonely! So lovely to see you, we have missed you! We sometimes still discuss your flapjacks!!

Wolfcub · 22/06/2020 19:49

Indeed if we could get Quite, Jam and Fluffy that would be amazing

Unescorted · 22/06/2020 20:39

Lane look up Duncan Birmingham on You Tube. His tutorials are so clear and straightforward. All you need to start is some A4 paper / light card, a glue stick and a pair of scissors.

lonely what subjects is she doing? DS wants to do law. His GCSEs might be less than stellar after all the school closures - he has done absolutely nothing. And finds very creative excuses. Today has been wrap up in a 3 season sleeping bag and then wonder why one's temperature is 38 deg. The little shit.

LonelyOversharer · 22/06/2020 20:54

unescorted she's doing Law, Eng Lit and Psychology. Her mocks (done the week of lockdown luckily) are straight A's. But I think a lot of current y13 will defer this year and competition will be huge for next year's uni intake. She has online zoom lessons, so is at least keeping up.

The others, less so. And my boy watches so much YouTube he's developed a slight American accent Blush

Had a really tasty tea of shepherd's pie (last mince in the freezer) with courgette and kale from the polytunnel.
