Dm and ddad are coming over today too. Dsis is bringing paella. I’m making sangria.

Still not had a new date for our Tesco delivery that was cancelled on Friday. We have another one booked for Tuesday as it is (largely birthday related)

But I’m much cheered by the fact one of the pairs of leggings I’ve been after for a while have gone on sale :o (I’m sure there’s another LLL fan on this thread? But I can’t remember who).

BTW DH has got the ball rolling on the stair rail, just waiting for a date now.

Lane boy, regarding your difficulties with Tesco, if Iceland deliver in your area I have found them to be very reliable with Mum’s shopping and they do next day delivery. It’s more basic and offers less choice but they can help one out of a pinch if you’re needing things.

Lazy lazing at NT place this pm with tea and scones, and my sister bought us ice creams. Lovely views and flowers to look at. Thai green chicken curry for dinner and probably more ice cream.

I’ve been day drinking. Dsis and her bf Dm and Dd cane over. Dsis brought paella. God it was delicious. I made sangria. That was also delicious. I’ve had sangria and cava and rice and sea food and chicken. So. Yum.

lane I’m pretty sure she’s like that with everyone but she has some sort of a superiority thing. She needs to be top dog at all times. She who must be obeyed. She who tells me how “the family” works etc. I’ve pointed out twice that I married in. And have been part of family now for 9 years. Whereas she’s not married and only been around for 4.

Not that it matters. I mean I don’t care about it. But just didn’t like being put in my place so out her in hers iyswim.

Also I talk about “the family” as if it’s an actual big deal. It’s not. The older generation think it’s like some mafia sort of deal. You take the family name and you’re therefore hntoucheable. Back in the day “the family” did have a lot of money and power and didn’t own half the island practically. But not now.

I’m eating sourdough with president butter and polish strawberry jam. It’s the best thing ever.

I bought this though. Spain’s finest. Used it for sangria with a generous slug of apple brandy and some lemonade. Actually not too bad.

Pretty good weekend here. Dc made full cooked breakfast this morning & then between us we made afternoon tea to take to my parents & we sat outside in the somewhat autumnal weather to eat it! Dd is going to be in school tomorrow.

Spendy couple of days - having got my leggings yesterday I then saw the burgundy version of the trainers I live in had gone on sale, so £40. Will put my usual ones (mustardy Yellowjacket away for a bit while I break them in :o

Back to home ed for the day. Sigh. Four more weeks.

In other news DD1 got all her selected options. History (had to choose humanity or language), dance, art and sport science (I think the latter is a btec or something, mostly coursework/practicals). Pretty good choices for her I think.

Oh man. I’ve looked at the website. So many fun leggings. And they’re squat proof!!!

They are pretty cool aren’t they! I wouldn’t be brave enough to wear the picture type ones though as I’m a wimp 😳😅 The other pairs I’m coveting have lava and waves but I really don’t exercise enough to justify more than two pairs 😂

I did have an email about the gym reopening soon so that’s exciting! It’s swimming I miss most though as at least I can do regular exercise at home when I’m well enough
