Ah, 30% off doesn’t apply to my boots. I feel strangely better now!

LaneBoy · 30/01/2020 17:04

I would too sea! Missing out on offers is so annoying.

Happier so pleased for you!

Spends: £10.35 coop - dinner (it’s a “ready meal is cheaper than a takeaway” type day), ice cream on offer, sandwich, crispy onions :o

Ivegotnothing · 30/01/2020 17:21

Missing discounts is so annoying, glad your boots were much too good for the sale!
Takeaway tonight here after work, so rather spendy, but an Indian ‘meal deal’ so a good deal with lots of food.

lifelongfrugaleer · 30/01/2020 17:23

I would totally reorder for 30% off

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 30/01/2020 18:06

I've had a relaxing couple of days at the spa, was lovely catching up with my friends and doing nothing for a while!!

£15 on snacks to take with me and another £15 on drinks while I was there 😬 dinner and breakfast were included in the original price.

Back to normality now 😕

SnugglySnerd · 30/01/2020 19:32

Ooh, gin! That's a good idea, Sea Gin Grin

Nsd. We are out of bananas though - disaster! So might nip to the shop.

ememem84 · 30/01/2020 19:44

I’m having a gin in a bit. Dh is working late. I’ve done the impossible (or so I thought) of collecting two littlies from nursery, gettinf them both in the car and home, both bathed pj’s and bed. With a bit of playing and peppa pig thrown in for good measure. Also bottles and bedtime stories.

First week of work done. Tomorrow I get to do fun stuff with my babies.

Currently sitting on couch with a g&t a box of maltesers and catface. Watching chilling adventures of Sabrina.

Happierwithouthim · 30/01/2020 20:51

Wow em first week down already, wow! Enjoy tomorrow

Today was a personal NSD but spent €248 on local property tax

Wolfcub · 30/01/2020 21:56

Nsd. Payday midnight thank god. The missing bit of last months wage is included

SnugglySnerd · 30/01/2020 22:17

This week has definitely felt looooong!

Saw snowdrops and chrocus out today, hopefully spring is on the way.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 30/01/2020 22:44

Tayto, glad the insurance is going to go through.

So tired, but did manage a NSD.

northender · 30/01/2020 23:47

Another crazy day at work & a busy night to follow. Went to gym & then took ds & friend to an indoor cricket centre where they feed balls into a bowling machine which spits them out at varying speeds & they take turns to bat. Managed to do some admin while I was there and got a bit of extra exercise by running round like a woman possessed in their lane every few minutes retrieving balls! It cost £10 each, ds' friend paid as he owed us some money from last year.

lifelongfrugaleer · 31/01/2020 06:13

Yeah em, will done on will one.

It's been a looonnnnnng week. Tfif. Got a promotion interview for later this month but have to go to Coventry. Anyone near there? Going the night before.

Accidentalaccountant · 31/01/2020 06:24

NSD yesterday and payday today. At last. Phew

maddenlightfoot · 31/01/2020 06:38

Morning all. Late night out last night and spendy - dinner+babysitter=£120(ouch) but lovely night at theatre. We've probably only overspent by about £20 this month though so I'm pleased with that. Payday will be tomorrow for us, as that's when our money transfers to joint account and I can start moving it all around. Will catch up properly later.

ememem84 · 31/01/2020 06:50

Morning all.

First day off today. Woop. A few chores to do and swimming with ds and I need to take Dd for her passport photos.

That’s all that’s planned today.

Wolfcub · 31/01/2020 07:12

Congrats Life that's fantastic . If it's at the doe office I have been there for an interview. Not too bad a little walk from the station

Pay day. I have paid myself first. Need to book car service, mot and some engine work

SnugglySnerd · 31/01/2020 07:14

I'm not too far from there, Life. What do you need to know?

Happy Friday everyone, enjoy your day off, Em.

My objective for today is to avoid the news as seeing Nigel, Boris et al all smug will give me the rage!

lifelongfrugaleer · 31/01/2020 07:27

Yes wolf that office near the station. Staying at the ibis. It's one of the offices I've never been to.

Somewhere nice to eat and is it ok for a walk out on the evening/ early morning/ lunchtime please snug? Can't be doing with 5 minute walks and lots of sitting. I think I can frugal and interview outfit but need does as I normally wear my biker boots with said dresses

lifelongfrugaleer · 31/01/2020 07:30

Actually I do have shoes. Will try on tomorrow then go shopping at the weekend

SnugglySnerd · 31/01/2020 07:32

I'll have a think. We were there in the evening a couple of months ago and it was fine. It's a short walk from the station into the city centre but I think you have to go under a subway from memory. It would be a few quid in a taxi if you were concerned, not far at all.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 31/01/2020 07:38

Morning all.

That's great life!

I will be spending about £15 this morning on cakes for the staff room as it is my birthday today.

Have a good Friday everyone!
