Don't worry it's definitely not that!! It's going off now luckily.

northender · 16/01/2019 16:58

I am making the most of my week off and had a lie in this morning. Had a brief visit to town with mum. Spent some birthday/Christmas money on some Bare Minerals make up (££). I wear very little make up but love their products. I have rosacea and the BM foundation is great but feels very light.
No car parking cost as I parked at aldi and left within the allotted time. Made broccoli & Stilton soup for lunch and used up some part baked rolls from the freezer. Going out for a late Christmas meal tonight, shouldn't cost too much, the restaurant is very reasonably priced. Mum's fitbit strap has broken so I did a live chat online & she is being sent a new one. Going to try and book a pedicure for tomorrow at a local place recommended by a friend (with more of my Christmas money.
Hope the CBT goes well Meadow

Ggreengrass1 · 16/01/2019 17:03

Well done meadows dh. Hope CBT goes well.
I'm currently munching my way through fudge, marzipan and biscuits left over from Christmas! No good, seem to get the munchies this time of day. Any tips apart from stapling my mouth shut???
north enjoy your Xmas dinner. Glad you're having a good week off.

Lovemaltesers · 16/01/2019 18:10

Waves to autumn

Well done meadow DH and hope your CBT has gone ok

I submitted my assignment last night, and heard back already that it has passed. The comments didn't make me amazing student material, but it is pass or not pass so 🤷‍♀️

My brain is pickled today. Sat in interviews all day.

£3.30 M&S

Wolfcub · 16/01/2019 18:34

Ds is currently getting drenched and frozen at his activity. I am sat in the car with my big coat on, hood up, hot water bottle, hot chocolate and episodes of life in pieces.

MissingMo · 16/01/2019 19:11

Nsd here. Went to get my sister's washing machine fixed but they had ordered the wrong part Hmm rest of the day stayed home. Poor man's stirfry for dinner today.
Forgot to add driving lesson to my spends yesterday £67

Unescorted · 16/01/2019 19:57

Snuggly Grin

North great use of your week off

Ggreengrass join us on frugaleers weight loss thread for motivation if you're inclined. Tips for munchies increase protein in earlier part of day so you're not hungry & picking

What's life in pieces wolf is your ds happy running around in rain & cold at his activity?

Love congrats you did it

Evening sneaky
I was at Wetherspoons one time & went up to bar for drink I was probably 30 at the time, asked for ID by the youngest looking bar staff I've ever seen, went back to table for it & h couldn't understand why I'd no drinks, he was still laughing when I returned from showing my ID & getting our drinks. I remember I'd a large Pinot Grigio & it was delicious Grin

SneakyGremlins · 16/01/2019 21:51

Happier my friend got some odd looks as when we were done eating (I can recommend the scampi btw) she took the plates straight into the kitchen - I mean she works there so not that odd but the other customers didn't know that! Grin

Happier it’s a very funny American comedy on prime with josh brolin. It follows one family but each episode is split into four different funny stories. I only started watching it on Saturday when ds was at contact and it’s proper belly laugh material

He did enjoy himself tonight. He got back in the car looking like a big monster and stinking like one too. He doesn’t always in bad weather though as sometimes their hands get very cold

Happierwithouthim · 16/01/2019 22:41

Can only imagine sneaky

Happierwithouthim · 16/01/2019 22:42

Sounds like a good evening for ye wolf

I've converted my two to hot water bottles, ds came down the stairs looking for one after going to bed Grin

Unescorted · 16/01/2019 22:46

I must do my hot water bottle. I was such a good wife - when I got out of bed this morning I refilled the HWB for dh so he could have a comfy lie in. I have a wifely halo.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 16/01/2019 23:01

Very late sign in, hope everyone's well.

Well done you to your dh meadow does this mean you'll have to get a car now?!

snuggly my heart burn is a hiatus hernia! Hopefully you've just eaten something.

I've made a start on the application, not sure if it's worth applying or not but sort of feel like I have nothing to lose!

Knackered now so must sleep, night all 😴

Oh nsd 😉

Unescorted · 16/01/2019 23:13

girlie do it. Of you don't you have said no for them.

ChristmasSeacow · 16/01/2019 23:48

A brief catch up....

Well done Meadow DH, that’s brilliant! I bet he’s well chuffed. (Also, re. Yesterday’s discussion, I also agree you’re doing brilliantly getting out so much with DS. That’s hard for loads of people and you do more than most!)

Congrats Love, bet you’re relieved! A pass is all you needed 👍🏻

Spent £3.80 on 2xtea and water at work (I took lunch but can’t carry drinks and laptop, shoes, papers etc as well) and then £42 on Boden. Two vests for me (I’ll only keep one size but need one for under a dress) and an outfit for dd. Found a 20% off voucher but forgot to go through Kidstart Angry

Spent £950-odd on holiday deposit too - that’s half the total. We’re off to n wales for 2 weeks in summer. DH won’t go abroad this summer because of Brexit and possible delays at airports - DS would be in bits so I’m with him 100%. And I like holidaying in the Uk anyway. We’ve booked a lovely cottage on a remote headland with sea views (lush) and my mum will come for some or all of the time too - we got an extra bedroom for her. Really looking forward to it and hoping it’s not constant rain. (But if it is I shall knit a lot and look at the sea).

It’s bloody expensive going away in the school summer holiday 😬

Happierwithouthim · 17/01/2019 05:51

Sea you reminded me I paid €100 deposit for my summer holiday yesterday

Ggreengrass1 · 17/01/2019 06:30

sea your holiday sounds lovely, we need to book something
Well done love Star
Thanks happier will try and search out the weight loss thread later, need to haul myself out of bed and walk dogs.
Just need to get a few bits from bodycare and prescription today. So hopefully lsd

Wolfcub · 17/01/2019 06:42

Sea I used to live in Wales not very far from the sea (for some of the time in a holiday cottage as it happens) and the weather is lovely in summer, in fact I think it rained less in Wales than it does in Yorkshire
Morning all. It is bitterly cold here today.

Unescorted · 17/01/2019 06:52

It is brrrrrr here too. I am working from home because I have to drop the boys off to catch their lift to Strathpuffer. They are doing it as part of a team this year.

I don't know what to do for a summer holiday - my family are all abandoning me. DD off with friends, boys to the states. All suggestions welcome - activity ish I think. Maybe walking or cycling. Or maybe a bread making course or the like.
