Aw thanks life :o

Quiet here this morning! I am tired as Rowan decided the small hours was a fun time to blow raspberries on my tummy for an hour.

Just waiting at the docs. Got an urgent appt as soon as mental health was mentioned. For all its funding trouble I can’t fault the nhs.

SnugglySnerd · 29/01/2019 12:15

I've had success with spuds in bags too. Also carrots.

Looks like being an NSD today. Hooray!

ememem84 · 29/01/2019 12:32

Me too cag (re melodrama that is). Although have also been awake since 530. Ds was singing....

Because dh is away I had to pop ds in the bathroom with me while I showered today. He stared at me the whole time and then threw a dinosaur and his bear in the shower with me.

Thatsnotmybaby · 29/01/2019 13:35

Good to hear you have a doctor's appointment cag; hope things start to look up for you very quickly Flowers

Spends yesterday:
£12 new bulb for car
£8 a magazine for DS and snacks for us due to having to wait around in the car for an hour, frugal fail as it was due to bad planning on my part really, but DS was thrilled with his "special treat" of reading his magazine while sitting in the front seat of the car in the carpark Grin.

Spends today:
£140 H&M, very much an order of things to try on though, most of it (quite possibly all of it) will go back.
£26 new kettle

Justanothermile · 29/01/2019 15:49

Hello from poorly jamtowers. Sickness bug and now laid up with stinking cold all in a week - even had a day off work yesterday - genuinely the first one in five years. Slept all day. Much better today but, apart from the dog walks x 2, I've stayed in the warmth.

So much for an exciting birthday! But thank you for the messages kind folk.

So lovely to hear from you lonely. See, you've already got the spud talk going!

girlie here's the flapjack recipe. I screen shot it at the time. I made some yesterday but only had black treacle. Still good though. It's literally the only thing I did before going to bed.

cag lovely cag - keep posting. I'm hoping the appointment is successful. I've had those tablet before, when things were bad with DH. Just one strip of them when things got bad.

NSD yesterday
£33 eBay yesterday.

Justanothermile · 29/01/2019 15:50

Recipe - I'll post from the phone, it's easier.

Justanothermile · 29/01/2019 15:52

Your stash looks great sneaky!

WreckTangled · 29/01/2019 16:11

Hope the dr was as to help cag

Sorry you're poorly jam!

Nsd today. Dh have me £1 to get dd something from the vending machine after swimming as a bribe.

Anyone got any snow? We're just forecast rain which is fine by me as I've got a busy week at work.

Justanothermile · 29/01/2019 16:25

Hey all and thank you again ❤️

So it just happened that the duty doctor today was my absolute fave, she saw me through this pregnancy and is awesome and was thrilled to be told that we have moved now, as of course we were still on the list before Cagletini arrived. Yay!

She happily prescribed the propranolol, my blood pressure is a little on the low side so we will have to keep an eye it doesn’t drop further but otherwise it should be helpful. She reckons I have been off the paroxetine enough days now that even taking a small amount would set me back too much, which is what I was worried about too, so I’m happy to just try and get through it now. I think I am over the worst, yesterday was beyond terrifying, but the fact I managed both physically and mentally to actually leave the house today is a good sign. Yesterday it was totally unthinkable.

I then managed a couple of shops, £28 in Morrisons mostly next size baby clothes and some transformers PJs for DS’ birthday (August :o), and Wilkos same amount again on storage bits for the house.

Ggreengrass1 · 29/01/2019 17:30

cag so glad you had a good appointment Flowers
jam hope you feel better soon.
£11 on coal and throat sweets from garage on way home from work, but coalman arrived with coal just as I got in !!
We had snow but it's not stuck.
Dd2 coughing and temp last night + dog opening fridge and eating hot dog sausages then demanding to go outside=very broken nights sleep.
Lovely to see you back lonely, did you get that beautiful teal sofa? I've really missed your crafting pictures.Smile please keep posting them.

lifelongfrugaleer · 29/01/2019 17:45

Gws jam

Cag that sounds so positive. You can so do this. Bastard MH.
Now get up of the floor -bloody overdramatic swooners-- Grin

Oh and £1.10 on bread as forgot mine for work.

ChristmasSeacow · 29/01/2019 17:48

So glad you can see the light at the end of the tunnel with these meds Cag, hope the new ones are much better.

And get well soon Jam, hope the family is looking after you!

LSD today, just £1.20 for a milk top up. Took DD to the library, which she enjoys (ours has been recently refurbished and the kids’ corner is really lovely and light). She always seems to poo in the library for some reason, I must remember that next time she is bunged up Grin

Made a huge pot of minestrone soup at lunchtime to see me, DD and DM through the next few days of lunches. It’s very frugal too, for the amount it makes. And good for the diet! Also trying a new spicy pork meatball dish with stir fried veg on the side tonight. Can’t wait, I am quite hungry since the weekend’s tummy bug Grin

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 29/01/2019 17:54

Oh bless you jam not like you to be poorly, hope you're resting and being looked after. Thank you for the receipe 😘

WreckTangled · 29/01/2019 19:30

Cag I found propanolol really helped. Just not having that awful pounding heart made me mentally feel better Thanks

northender · 29/01/2019 20:21

Girlie Sidmouth is lovely.
Cag seeing the right doctor can make such a difference. Glad it went well.
Jam glad to hear you're feeling a bit better.
No spends today. Circuits class tonight. Fajitas with leftover roast pork for tea.
The son of friends of ours (age 19) had major spinal surgery yesterday for a scoliosis so am going to make lasagne or bolognese to take round for them. I was going to do it tonight, but am out of onions, so tomorrow it is.

Unescorted · 29/01/2019 22:53

Blimey - It has been a fraught night. Teenagers going to concerts in the Big Ole City with scary people and snow and having no car so relying on other people to collect. I don't do not being in control. I am back in the room. The child is being posted in the door and plan B can stand down

Sneaky Language!!!! only I am allowed to swear on this thread. Grin you need it up your way tonight.

Lonely sorry posted last night and dashed - it is because he is a contrary little thing and it is his way or no way. He needs to brush up on his negotiating skills. He should have a little bit of humility & offer to carry some one else's kit. It is team work after all.

Jam hope you are getting to the other side (song alert) and feeling a bit better.

Cag glad that you managed to see the Dr who you are able to work with. You will get out of this hole my lovely.

SnugglySnerd · 30/01/2019 06:05

I'm dreading teenagers Unescorted! Even when my little treasures have me up at 5 am I appreciate the fact that I know where they are and what they are doing!

Sidmouth is lovely Girlie.

Get well soon Jam.
