WreckTangled · 25/01/2019 18:37

Well done north! Never doubted you ThanksGin

Wolfcub · 25/01/2019 18:56

North Well Done Flowers that’s fantastic you absolute Star

Justanothermile · 25/01/2019 19:06

Fabulous stuff North. That's brilliant - great news.

Other than that, I've been up most of the night with a sickness bug.🤢 I'm knackered now more than anything.

Spends have been huge this week. With the tax payment and balance of flooring.

The wood floor upstairs does look fab, must admit.

Unexpected spend has been a new tumble dryer. The sensor on our old one went, the door is loose and the seal gone - 7 years old. £300.

Hope your mums okay seacow, I've really felt dreadful the last 24 hours, so understand she's in bed.

SnugglySnerd · 25/01/2019 19:14

Well done North!

Hope you feel better soon Jam.

Lovemaltesers · 25/01/2019 19:49

Well done north Star

Poor DD and DM seacow, I bet you are relieved you are able to look after DM, rather than her being on her own though

Got home from work and feel unwell so gone to bed.

NSD

Lovemaltesers · 25/01/2019 19:50

Hope you feel better soon jam

And loving that you blame fluffy for the dominos girlie Grin

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 25/01/2019 20:05

Just popping on to say hi to everyone!
Well done North
Gws to sea's dm and jam.

Life is super busy here and been a bit stressful, so just trying to sort everything.

Will pop back when things are more normal

lifelongfrugaleer · 25/01/2019 20:41

Get well soon jam.
Bloody well done North.

Unescorted · 25/01/2019 21:35

North well done. Grin
Sea hope your mum is feeling a bit better. It is worrying when people just go into shut down.

Jam ewwww. Hope you feel better soon.

I am home - I don't like being in hotels. There is something lovely about having your own sheets and pillows and smelly husband / hot water bottle. And whiny kids. Birthday cake making tomorrow.... and washing.

moimichme · 25/01/2019 22:12

TGIF! I'm knackered after a half-walk, half-run 4 miles this evening instead of taking ds home from the childminder's on the bus! DH is working tomorrow so I'll have ds by myself until 4 pm. Must get some rest now, but wanted to say well done for everyone's good news and gws to those not feeling well.

Thanks a lot for the cake tip, Unescorted - I'll be omitting actual eggs (we're vegan here) so I may experiment this weekend - but as long as the cake is edible, that's what counts, right? Grin

Fingers crossed for a decent night's sleep for all.

ememem84 · 25/01/2019 22:17

Tomorrow is sort spare bedroom and laundry day.

No riding tomorrow. I’m feeling lightheaded a lot (I remember this from last time) so figure riding may not be a great idea. Plus I’ve done something to my shoulder. Either slept funny last night and aggravated it whilst at work. Or did something at work to aggravate my shoulder. So riding probably isn’t the best idea.

Cagliostro · 26/01/2019 04:28

Yo. Popping in while I can’t sleep. Still coming off the meds, and I’m finding it far worse than going on them in the first place.

I am still alive, though. :o I am missing you lot, but can’t seem to bring myself to write much.

Nothing much going on here anyway. Much love to all Thanks

lifelongfrugaleer · 26/01/2019 07:26

Lovely to see your cag. Always welcome.

Food shop and house tidy today. Taking mil to a garden centre near the hospital with the DC.

SnugglySnerd · 26/01/2019 07:51

Good to see you Cag.

WreckTangled · 26/01/2019 07:54

Hey cag!

Going to see my mum this morning as it's her birthday tomorrow. Once I had arranged it she casually dropped in that some other family members will be there. Eugh. I hate being sociable and I literally haven't seen them for about 20 years.

Still need ds' yogurt and chocolate chips so may pop into Tesco to get those.

Wolfcub · 26/01/2019 08:20

Cag it’s lovely to see you we will still be here when you feel more up to writing Brew

I was supposed to be going to the salon today but my lady is poorly. So it’ll be cleaning out and washing the car and fitting new windscreen wipers (with help from df and his pressure washer). First I have to take da for contact through

Wolfcub · 26/01/2019 08:22

Oh and I must buy loo roll because we are on our last one

Happierwithouthim · 26/01/2019 09:55

Hi everyone just checking in

Get well soon to jam & seacowdm

I've not been on much this week as doing daily bootcamp, two evening board meetings and was also engrossed in my kindle book by Patricia Rice called Blue Clouds, have bought another book by her in the hope that I've found a new author to love Grincan't find details of how much it cost me anywhere Hmm think £3.49

Did grocery shop yesterday €57.80 less €10 voucher so €47.80 in Dunnes, will go to butcher this week also. I've not been shopping with him in over a year Blush

Wolf you reminded me of loo roll, I've 16 left from groupon deal so think I'm going to buy another deal in next couple of weeks. Not running out is brilliant and it was cheaper than shopping special offers too.

Today I've a few things to do this weekend
Take Christmas decorations to attic from spare room as dm is coming to stay on tues night for grandparents day at the school wed
Put on another wash
Do more sorting of my bedroom
Clear kitchen counter which has begun to build clutter again
Do more sorting of my bedroom
Go to gym
Out for a lunch with a friend
Clean out boiler & empty ashes
It's horrible outside so that should make it easier to get this stuff done, I'd love to go for a run or walk in the woods but it's just too yucky Sad

Unescorted · 26/01/2019 10:20

Morning all - Cag & Curvy great to see you about. Moan I missed you return yesterday too. Soz. Waves to all the others who are lurking but yet to plunge back in. You are missed. Fluffy your magic is needed on the Money Woes thread in chat/ AIBU.

I need to get up and make a birthday cake for DS. Chocolate - although I am not sure I have any chocolate so will need to scoot to the shops. All good chocolate cake recipes appreciated

My weekly indulgence van has returned so I will pick up a loaf of sourdough while I am out too.

The rest of the day is washing, sorting said washing and picking up scattered junk.

Jam hope you are feeling a bit better and Sea hope your mum is making a recovery.

Happierwithouthim · 26/01/2019 11:02

Almost forgot €210 on boohoo but most if not all will be going back. I've free next day delivery paid for a year and I'm going to get value out of it Grin
Plus I get to try out different styles that I might not usually go for and it's free returns

Happierwithouthim · 26/01/2019 11:04

€1.80 on newspaper

lifelongfrugaleer · 26/01/2019 12:26

£33 Iceland, £66 Aldi for a small weeks shop FFS.
£648 balance of flooring.
Car boot load to charity.

Frugal fail. Forgot my large item pick up yesterday so will need to ring and arrange another one. £17.17

ChristmasSeacow · 26/01/2019 13:25

Thanks for all the good wishes for DM. She’s on the mend now- still at ours though as defo not up to driving home for another day or two.

We are on the way to our friend’s wedding but DH and I have had a massive row - they are v rare but I am really pissed off so not really looking forward to plastering a smile on all day. He’s staying in a hotel tonight but I’m not as I need to be up in the morning with the kids. Maybe some distance will do us good. Back tomorrow!

Wolfcub · 26/01/2019 13:32

Car is clean and has new wipers.

£12 Sainsbury’s on loo roll, cold medicine, strepsils and daffodils
£4.95 on pad Thai with the sort of chillies that set fire to your face. Yum
£6 on a birthday card for a friend and a wooden heart to Hang on an empty picture hook in the kitchen

Unescorted I did this Mary Berry one last time for ds thehappyfoodie.co.uk/recipes/very-best-chocolate-fudge-cake. But I also like the nigella one with sour cream
