Thanks born. Yes I think a bit of company will be nice. Smile

ememem84 · 06/01/2019 15:04

Been to the gym to meet trainer. She seems nice. I’ve signed up for some sessions.

Ds has managed to pour a cup of tea over himself and the floor. One of those “I’m watching ds so I’ll drink it later like warm cups of tea” he tried to bring it to me. Then when I saw what he was up to I said “oh dear” to him. He dropped my mug and cried. Looked like he was in trouble. Luckily it went on the wood floor. So easily cleaned. And it was like warm so no harm done.

Dh keeps talking up organising. He wanted to have a chat about how we go about it today. Which is fine. But actually bloody do it!!!

Wolfcub · 06/01/2019 15:18

Grrr h has sent ds home much earlier than he said he would. Bloody good job I’m in really! Asshat

lifelongfrugaleer · 06/01/2019 15:29

Ah bless em. He thought he was in trouble, good love him.
Asshat indeed wolf.
Meadow your are having a right time of it.
I had a birth debrief the next day as the same me was on duty. No where near as traumatic as yours but I went into shock at the time. (Big baby, fast delivery, tear from here too there) really helped. I asked more questions later too. Write down what you want to ask while you think of it.
I'm not trying to belittle your experience or do one upmanship but everyone I know who had a debrief found it helpful.

Bedding - ha once a month if it's lucky.

£6.90 for a spinning class - was

Christmas lunch here as using up leftover meat.
All veg used up now too.

Wolfcub · 06/01/2019 15:33

And h has forgotten to give ds the shopping they’ve done for school tomorrow. I swear between the pair of them I wonder how they remember to breathe

lifelongfrugaleer · 06/01/2019 15:35

Knobber

LonelyOversharer · 06/01/2019 16:25

Two much needed perhaps frugal things going on here.

  1. All snooker ball esque frozen tomatoes are in the oven roasting. Hoping for tasty passatta.
  2. Half a freezer draw of loose soft fruit, plus tag ends of bags, pots of blackberries etc on the hob bubbling for jam.

Cannot believe that it is back to work tomorrow. How do you remember what to do?

Happierwithouthim · 06/01/2019 16:32

NSD

Happierwithouthim · 06/01/2019 16:38

We'd pancakes from breakfast
We spent 1.5 hours in the pool
Dc had ends of packs of goujons & popcorn chicken with chips for lunch
I'd remaining reduced filo wrapped prawns followed by spinach tagliatelle in carbonara sauce with green beans & slow cooked ham from freezer.
Dinner will be turkey & ham with chips from freezer & potatoes for ds.
The stuffing I froze 16 scoops of has soured think it's cos the onions were only partially cooked frugal fail

Tidying up, dc are sorting laundry mountain I'm going to sweep up, all laundry is done, boiler cleaned down, ashes taken out, swimming bag repacked for next time, lots of jobs to be tackled today.

SnugglySnerd · 06/01/2019 16:46

I reckon I only spend about a quarter of my life asleep at the moment Sad

Ggreengrass1 · 06/01/2019 16:59

Dd deposited back at uni Sad
Nsd first in a very long time.

Lovemaltesers · 06/01/2019 17:12

I don't want to go back to work tomorrow. 6.20am will be so early! (Although this time last year I was still getting up at 5.30am)

House is currently the tidiest it has been in a long time.

We got funny looks when we all went on our scooters along the seafront earlier. May have been the all noise we were making, spoiling people's quiet walks 😬

Just parking £3 I think today
Still no amazon spends Halo

Ggreengrass1 · 06/01/2019 17:15

I don't want to go back to work either. One of my new years resolutions is to fine a job I love by the summer.

Wolfcub · 06/01/2019 17:21

I am definitely in the don’t want to go back to work club

Unescorted · 06/01/2019 17:34

I have been for a very long walk 12 miles give or take. We were taking product shots and general happy friends walking shots, so it took longer than it should have. The weather was minging. Having said that it was a laugh and the martyr walkers were not amused by us roaring with laughter. As a way to lift your spirits a walk in the hills with friends takes some beating. Next set of things we want testing are. Coffee systems for camping / bike packing / walking/ packing / for stays in hotels/ taking into the office and ladies walking trousers. I am to send a list of ones I want. Any suggestions welcome.

Wolf do let us know if you want us to turn up on his doorstep and sing the "you are a wanker" chorus from the Knob of the North.

Em bless him.

Love Lonely I am so struggling with having to go back tomorrow. It has been 3weeks of bliss. No holiday until end of March. 😥

Evening all, just back from a nice afternoon, went for a walk at a local beach spent around a tenner on parking, coffee, a magnet, arcades and chips!

Work and school tomorrow 😔

ChristmasSeacow · 06/01/2019 17:49

I’m in the club too. Don’t mind work itself but find it so hard to squeeze the rest of life around it Confused.

We are currently on the road, traveling back to 2019 home. Lunch was a magnificent 1970s tribute: half an avocado stuffed with crab meat for starter (served in cut glass avocado dishes 👍🏻), then veal saltimbocca with parmentiere potatoes, then trifle. I feel sooooo fat after the last 2 weeks! Fruit and veg tomorrow .

Meadow I’m sorry you have to wait so long for a birth debrief /gynaecologist appt but I really hope it helps. You are having such a hard time at the mo. Both my babies had reflux and both were very difficult to put down (they didn’t scream so much when held but were pretty bad if I put them down). Sometimes they screamed anyway. I always felt that it helped to hold them, even if they were still upset, because I felt while they may still be unhappy /in pain /discomfort at least they’d not feel alone. I am sure it does help your DD to be held. Hang on in there, it will improve as she grows (especially if reflux- mine both turned a corner around 10-12m and that’s very common) and as her ability to communicate her needs improves. You are doing an amazing job.

SneakyGremlins · 06/01/2019 18:01

I need to use up this bread and cheese but I'm bored of toasties

ChristmasSeacow · 06/01/2019 18:02

How can you be bored of toasties? Shock

Home! Yay!

AdoraBell · 06/01/2019 18:06

£3.30 on bread. Tidying and cleaning this evening. Will catch up later.

Wolfcub · 06/01/2019 18:09

Sneaky have a look at a croque monsuier traybake as an alternative

Wildernesstips · 06/01/2019 18:09

Sneaky - grilled cheese toast on top of soup?

Unescorted · 06/01/2019 18:10

It goes to another food choices were so limited in the 80's that you could have glass ware to match the food.

Meadow another one saying it does get better. Hang in there because you are doing really well.

I have cleaned the inside of the loft hatch and have realised that all the things that are annoying me are things that I spent hard earned money having fitted in the house, and which now look crappy. #scrooge

Fortunately they seem to go back to looking nice with scrubbing.

Wildernesstips · 06/01/2019 18:12

Been away to family for few days.
