The music that has come down to ds in the genes is from her side of the family, not mine. She went to a posh music school and aspired to be a woodwind player but couldn't, so when she says I have the good teeth it's a genuine and heartfelt compliment.
I have crap teeth actually, and have to live on a completely sugar-free diet to stop having them just fall to pieces. But they all came in completely straight, so I look as though I've had expensive orthodontist stuff done, when in fact I just got lucky.
I thought it was nice to know that they were good for something finally, after the thousand fillings that I've had to plod through since about age 7.
One day I will just ask the dentist for a sticker. It's one of my big unfulfilled ambitions.
