Oh dear Autumn
Do you wet your hands first and then apply the soap?
Im forever telling DH this but he never listens Grin

AutumnLeaves12 · 28/12/2018 18:19

Thanks, Quite, I'll do that.

Or maybe I'll just get eczema. I hear eczema is cool.

Ok so turns out I can’t drink on my ADs 😳😳😳 I just hadn’t thought to look because I virtually never drink anyway even when not BFing.

Oooops 😳

QuiteisbringingFrugalback · 28/12/2018 18:24

I dont really understand your last comment tbh autumn
Eczema isnt cool its awful

AutumnLeaves12 · 28/12/2018 18:30

Sorry Quite I didn't mean that to be taken literally. It was sort of meant to be irony or dry humour or something like that.

I have a feeling that my humour isn't coming across quite right sometimes here. It's hard to do tone of voice in writing.

I'm the same Cag. I got told off for driving after drinking an inch of champagne once.

Ah ok -I think your stand up routine might need a bit of work then Grin

AutumnLeaves12 · 28/12/2018 18:34

Yes indeed. I'll stay sitting down.

My bar soap doesn’t go at all slimey but the soap holder in the shower has loads of holes in so it dries out properly. No sitting in slushy water.

DS having a meltdown because my DM just accidentally deleted the tv programme we froze 10 mins ago (the DC were very slow to finish dinner). DH has downloaded from iPlayer but it’s not the same episode. Any interruption to routine causes utter havoc... 😬

lifelongfrugaleer · 28/12/2018 19:03

Going to try that bar soap. I notice they have a lilac one which is one of my favourite flower scents. Thanks quite.
£14.50 on chippy tea and about £10 in the slots. Went to the coast for a walk.

What was IKEA like lonely? Have to go at some point this next week or so.

LonelyOversharer · 28/12/2018 19:05

Drinking and driving isn't quite the same as drinking when on certain meds. Although both can cause you serious harm. cag dp had two sips of Asti on Christmas day, it knocked him flat (and he felt very poorly). It's why he doesn't drink anymore, although most folk assume he's a recovering alcoholic which he isn't

Dippy eggs and homemade chips for tea. Such yummy comfort food.

LonelyOversharer · 28/12/2018 19:08

Very very busy life with moochy families. I was on my own and was like a laser guided missile. Double checked the sofas I picked are lovely (they are), got the kallax and malm isle number thingies and made for the warehouse. 20 mins queueing to pay.

Wolfcub · 28/12/2018 19:09

Hmm dinner failure ds rejected my delicious tomato tart as he identified the goat cheese even though it looks nothing like goat cheese. Reminds me of when I made a peanut butter cheesecake and tried to pass it off as something else. He smelled peanuts from a different room the second I got it out of the fridge

Fluffycloudland77 · 28/12/2018 19:12

I dont know Jam, I haven’t shopped with them. I don’t have a great sense of smell but even I find lush stores overpowering to walk past.

My mum said the same about the body shop 30 years ago 🤦🏻‍♀️

Bornlazy · 28/12/2018 19:12

One of my resolutions is to use up all my toiletry/beauty stash before buying anymore. I think I should have enough of everything to last me through until late summer.

ChristmasSeacow · 28/12/2018 19:17

That’s you sorted for Brexit then Born WinkGrin

Bornlazy · 28/12/2018 19:23

I hadn't even thought of that Grin

lifelongfrugaleer · 28/12/2018 19:31

Hmm, will do my prestore research and get the locations of the stuff I want to buy and look at. Hate mooching moving bollards.

Wolfcub · 28/12/2018 19:53

Ds is currently on the phone thanking h for present I bought him for Christmas. We bought some together and some separate. Different paper and clearly labelled. I am off to pour myself another glass of wine as a coping mechanism

QuiteisbringingFrugalback · 28/12/2018 19:54

Lush stores are hugely pongy but its only a few items like the bathbombs which really stink.
Ultrabland and 9-5 are barely scented.
Lush got a huge amount of stick about the Palm oil issue but they have been really open about how hard it is to avoid and how they have swapped it while trying to maintain the quality.
I try to avoid, particularly in food but my lot just eat anything crap and thats out of my control.
Omg Body Shop -the White Musk 😷🤢
I had forgotten that !

ememem84 · 28/12/2018 19:56

Me too born I’m sorted for toiletries.

lifelongfrugaleer · 28/12/2018 19:57

Deep breath wolf.
It's so hard being Palm oil free. Le sigh

Wolfcub · 28/12/2018 19:58

I remember lush when it was still cosmetics to go and going to the first ever store on holiday. I ordered from the newsletter after that.

ChristmasSeacow · 28/12/2018 20:11

Wolf you have my hearty sympathies over the dinner. Kids mostly rejected theirs today, grr.

Lonely did you buy new sofas as well? That’s exciting!

SneakyGremlins · 28/12/2018 20:15

I made it to Aldi Xmas Grin
