PS Lonely so happy that you are all enjoying CP. You really deserve it!

SnugglySnerd · 23/12/2018 05:28

Morning! DD2 still thinks 4.55 is a good wake up time. We have agreed to disagree for now. She wants my phone!

Morning Snuggly. Grin My ds decided 5.30am was the hour this morning.

The switch is now his man carer. I am just supervising from a distance in bed

AutumnLeaves12 · 23/12/2018 06:41

"main", not "man". Too early...

SnugglySnerd · 23/12/2018 06:50

I'm meant to go and buy the Christmas food at the crack this morning. Hmmm. Dark outside.

SnugglySnerd · 23/12/2018 06:58

Do it Autumn the longer you leave it the busier and more stressful it will be!

Autumn your ds is old enough to tell go back to bed to though? Unfortunately snuggly your dd isn't Sad
I swapped sides of the bed with ds last night & am currently shoehorned against wardrobe as in his sleep he's travelled back, I'm going to go to the loo & swap back I think 🤔

AutumnLeaves12 · 23/12/2018 07:09

Yes he is usually Happier but I didn't argue this morning. Ds for some reason has always needed less sleep than me. I have a friend whose first ds only needs four hours of sleep though and always has. She has four children too, so I think I'm lucky he goes to 5.30am.

Good idea to swap sides. Smile

I do not feel at all inclined to go out.

AutumnLeaves12 · 23/12/2018 07:24

Nope. Going back to bed. Tomorrow will do.

Happierwithouthim · 23/12/2018 07:28

Good plan
I'm looking at m&s sale preview Blush

AutumnLeaves12 · 23/12/2018 07:32

Ooo! So am I now...

Thanks for the company btw. Grin

Wolfcub · 23/12/2018 07:32

Morning all. It sounds like it’s raining. If this means ds’s activity is cancelled it it a good thing if it means it’s not I’m going to be a drowned rat later with a disgustingly muddy child. Good job I haven’t mopped my kitchen floor yet!

Meadow I second everything Sea says. I hope dd starts to feel brighter today and dh also so that you can enjoy a few days together. The council tax thing will work itself out, try and write a list of the days and times they were spoken to or letters were sent.

Wrong I think you did the right thing going away I hope you enjoy the sunshine and find it restorative after such and awful year Flowers

Sea I hope you start to feel better today too and Born and Girlie’s DD and Autumn and anyone else who is feeling grim that I’ve forgotten

AutumnLeaves12 · 23/12/2018 07:35

I agree with Christmas too Meadow. Fantastic good sense.

What on earth is this even for?

Happierwithouthim · 23/12/2018 07:45

Can't swap sides he's wet that side Sad
And now he's woken slightly so has his arms wrapped around my neck while he slumbers Grin💕

I've found another house I'm interested in buying, so two potential one is not for sale so no idea what it would cost & would need a bedroom added, the other is part of a holiday home estate so neighbours wouldn't be constant but I could buy outright possibly from sale of our own house & is ready to move into.
But this is a pipe dream because need to sell family home first so these houses may not even be available then, dreaming helps. Imagine being mortgage free & able to save that money every week for forever home Wink

Wolf fingers crossed for cancellation Grin

Autumn dress is for someone without a lump or bump anyhow Grin

AutumnLeaves12 · 23/12/2018 07:48

LOL! Happier. That's a very special kind of sleep deprivation you're getting there. I'm impressed that you can also type while in that situation.

House sounds great.

I think even a very smooth person would look quite strange in that dress. :-)

lifelongfrugaleer · 23/12/2018 08:03

Some very sensible words their meadow. Hope it helps you.
My early risers got up 15 minutes ago and the other is still in bed. Thank God as the are tired horrors.

Any sign of a for sale sign yet happier? The cottages sound lovely. There will be something out there for you.

Sainsbury's have just told me my will order is there but I only ordered veg for the day and not the rest of the week. Will shlep to the coop today.
Cinema this afternoon. Got 2 refund tickets so only 2 to buy. Spiderman.

Unescorted · 23/12/2018 08:03

That dress looks like it has come off the set of Star Trek. Only sticks need apply.

Morning all. I am avoiding getting out of bed...but must do. We need socks apparently before we go to mil's. Off to sunny climes tomorrow so it is the only day we will see her over crimbo. Can I just recommend going away for Christmas as a stress avoidance technique.

Wrong that is some year. I can't imagine how you get through all of that and stay upright. Enjoy your sunshine.

Meadow sea is as wise bird. She is right councils close over Christmas so nothing will progress over bank holidays.

Happier the joy of bed sharing with a small.

Wolf it rains here too. With a bit of luck you get to stay warm and dry.

Happierwithouthim · 23/12/2018 08:29

Life in a text argument on Monday he agreed to get the ball rolling in Jan, I'm still a bit nervous about effect on dc so might suggest it doesn't go up for sale until summer & gives them longer to adjust, I'm debating it in my mind.

We've also got cinema today Mary Poppins dsis paid as DC's Christmas present for last year Grin

Unescorted it's only while I'm at dparents, there's a kylie sheet on bed so it's all good, I've encouraged him over to the opposite side once more. Enjoy hols

ememem84 · 23/12/2018 08:29

Oh. That dress is something else isn’t it?

Ds woke up at 430 cried a bit then put himself back to sleep. He woke up at 8. We all did. Yay

Dh is doing the Christmas shop today. I am not going with him. I’ve volunteered to stay home and clean. 😉

Unescorted · 23/12/2018 08:32

Good work em

lifelongfrugaleer · 23/12/2018 08:37

Oh wrong that's an awful year. Enjoy the sun.
You too unescorted.
Ah I see happier. Fwiw go sooner rather than later, may take a while to sell and it's only putting it off. But your know your DC best.
Good call em. I'm going no where near shops today or tomorrow. Except my pre-order meat but I can walk to that.

Happierwithouthim · 23/12/2018 08:53

Thanks life I think the same because who knows how long it will take & they're happy with separation so even if it rattles them they'll cope.

I practically avoid the shops all of December, I'm not a bah humbug but I don't like shopping anyhow

Worryingly dd is thinking Santa's bringing her something he's not, but she'll love what she gets & it's done now Grin

AutumnLeaves12 · 23/12/2018 09:38

My dh and ds are doing the Christmas shop today as well now. Yay!

Which actually makes more sense as dh is the only one in the family that will eat exciting food, so he may as well choose it. I have volunteered to stay at home and have a bath.

Em have you considered buying a roomba at all? They are great. I imagine they are in the sales in about three days from now. Small children love to chase them round the house and care for them like pets.

Off for bath now. Yay!
