SneakyGremlins · 03/11/2018 20:57

We watched the fireworks from my lounge Grin

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 03/11/2018 21:28

Of course life 😉 I just need a lottery win first....

Wolfcub · 03/11/2018 21:30

Gah if only one of us had won the euro millions last night Life we could have helped you out

ChristmasSeacow · 03/11/2018 21:31

Life I’ll top up whatever Lonely finds down the side of the sofa. Job done Wink.

(Seriously, if I could find that kind of money I’d be able to clear our mortgage and do all the refurbs on our house to make it shiiiiinnny. And then give up work )

Well, I managed to pop out this morning for a quick errand dash... returning some stuff to Next and picking up a click n collect order in Mothercare (a Christmassy dress for DD and a jumper). Though while I was there I saw a really gorgeous green cord pinafore for her too so that jumped into my basket Blush. The Christmas dress might have to be changed as she’s lost quite a lot of weight and is quite slight anyway so I can’t see it fitting her by next month Hmm.

Apart from that break DD has been stuck to me All. The. Moments. Of. The. Day. I am exhausted by her! She’s much grumpier today, which I think is a good sign, but somewhat wearing. She’s also still barely eating and drinking - it’s taking a huge amount of effort to get her to drink anything so I’m still a little worried about that. Hoping tomorrow will be easier all round.

Watching Strictly now, yay. Loving the glitter.

ChristmasSeacow · 03/11/2018 21:35

I’ve not seen everyone dance yet as I’m an hour behind but I loved Stacy and Kevin’s dance Glitterball😍Glitterball

Fluffycloudland77 · 03/11/2018 21:46

Free fireworks Grin

Grumpy is a good sign in patients. Passiveness is more worrying.

AutumnLeaves12 · 03/11/2018 22:08

I made it to my concert and enjoyed it, and the company of old friends. Yay! So sparkly.

ChristmasSeacow · 03/11/2018 22:34

It is Fluffy. And her temperature is much better... the chest infection has taken a proper hold now though and she’s coughing horribly. The GP said the tonsillitis antibiotics should take care of the chest infection too 🤞🏻

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/11/2018 07:29

Ah well worth a dream. It's up for £295 by auction but needs work.
Will put the lotto on on Tuesday. 5 bed, huge detached, football field garden.

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/11/2018 07:31

Does sound like she is on the mend sea.
Felt sorry for Danny. Hope he doesn't go out

thistimenextsummer · 04/11/2018 07:53

Life we've just started our cyclical Rightmove binge! Happens once every few months when we get a bit fed up with certain things in our house. We've been close to buying a few times but I always get a 'better the devil you know' cautiousness!

Thatsnotmybookworm · 04/11/2018 07:55

Oh I hate that inbetween stage of illness with DC @christmas, when they are getting better, and their symptoms are primarily crankiness.

Yesterday’s spends:
£35 supermarket/naice food shop, lots for the freezer/store cupboard.

ememem84 · 04/11/2018 07:58

Had such a lovely sleep. Woke up at 7 - dh’s phone was ringing. It was mil for their Skype chat - Dh has forgotten about this it seems.

Ds has woken up and somehow managed to get himself out of his sleeping bag (so dh said). Maybe I forgot to do the poppers up...

I’m still in bed. The other 3 (including catface) are downstairs. Today is my lie in day. 😊

LonelyOversharer · 04/11/2018 08:06

Up early for a sunday. Dd1 is volunteering today, so dropping her off soon. Then it's a toss up between trying to refix the sofa, tidying the conservatory or weaving in the willow outside. None of these jobs are filling me with "I can't wait to get on with..."!

I paid all the tag ends off my credit cards last night, so it's just a few hundred pounds on my asda and 'internet spends' cc's, which I will sort out as and when. But the rule from now is, if I spend on them, I pay it straight off.

I also have the next huge (4 big storage boxes) amount of stuff to list on ebay. I know this is the only way to get rid of it, but it's soooo boring, so I am avoiding it.

LonelyOversharer · 04/11/2018 08:08

Ahh a Houdini baby! Just wait until he works out how to undo his nappy! The joys of toddlerhood (we started using pullups pdq at that stage).

Wolfcub · 04/11/2018 08:11

Morning all. Up early hear too, contact and then a match. There’s a running event in the city so getting to and from contact is going to be a ball-ache

Sea glad little sea is starting to feel a little better, fingers crossed less grumpy today

Em enjoy the lie in

Life you could buy MILs for auction price. All that needs doing is an extra bathroom/loo putting in

ChristmasSeacow · 04/11/2018 08:17

Ah thanks. She seems to be much better this morning - still an awful cough but she seems able to swallow much more easily. She’s currently eating blueberry pancakes and even remembered her please and thank-you! It’s the first time she’s really eaten since Wednesday, apart from a random boiled egg on Friday.

I forgot - I spent £22 on books for DD yesterday Blush. I was obviously feeling sorry for her (and indeed myself, as I read Meg and Mog for the 14th time...). That’s for a set of 10 Meg and Mog books and a very overpriced Peppa Pig life the flap book. I’ll give her a couple of the Meg books today but save a few for other occasions including Christmas.

Also Ocado came for the week last night, £85. I tend to buy fruit and bread separately but that’s not too bad for us. I bought cleaning stuff and lots of beef for a casserole as I’m batch cooking so it’s probably more like 9 days’ worth of main meals. Oh, and some batch cooking for the kids too.

I want to get my Christmas shopping done by the end of the month so I’m not stressing over it. For once I’ve done DH nice and early, it’s the in-laws that are proving tricky as usual! And it’s BIL’s 40th next week. I’m a bit stuck for ideas but then again he forgot DD’s 1st birthday so not feeling like straining myself. Will probably get some posh booze.

Fireworks tonight. Just bought tickets online, £16. Have sparklers left over from last year. Won’t have snacks as it’s right around dc normal bedtime.

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/11/2018 08:40

I'm always on right move as we will be moving house in 2-3 years time.
Saving hard for a deposit now

Unescorted · 04/11/2018 08:46

sea please she is on the mend.

Maris peers do make good chips possibly because they have a lowish sugar content. They cook through and go crispy before they get too dark. Estima and saxony make dreadful chips - floppy and over sweet. I have a weird raw potato habit which is good for judging starch and sugar content and the waxyness before deciding what to cook with it. Even the water content of the soil at harvesting will effect the chip standard. The best are dry starchy ones. Fir types are best for eating raw...skin on. I am sorryem but the standard of Jersey Royals has decreased over the years.

I have to move my bottom. I need to get ready for running.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 04/11/2018 10:46

Morning all.
Dp and ds2 left early this morning to go paintballing, it is dp's nephew's birthdays.

So have sorted out the washing, hoovered everywhere and mopped kitchen and bathroom.

Me and dd2 will be going out later to look for a coat for me and then we will get dinner out.

SneakyGremlins · 04/11/2018 11:58

I have a minus spend day today - found 20p on the floor!

Washer is crammed full, so just pottering today.

Today's an adult day for me too - list made now just to crack on with it Grin
