I think that’s sensible em it’d be different if money was really tight and buying again would be difficult, but your mental health has to be a priority right now, and so putting the baby stuff out of your mind for now and saving yourself the space as well is a good plan. 💐

Will definitely ask at the GP. Unfortunately I have no clue who I’m seeing as I was so shocked at the ridiculously long wait (even by our standards) that I just gratefully accepted the first available one when I booked ages ago. I also need to ask about ADs (this is all linked too as although I’m struggling on a low level much of the time - especially as winter approaches - it does seem to go in cycles as well) and preferably a referral for a gynae scan because the ovary pain is getting pretty nasty at times. So we shall see if I get a nice listening doctor or one who shoves you out the door Hmm if the latter I’ll book for one of the nice ones no matter how long it takes.

Cagliostro · 03/11/2018 11:43

I’m going to be lazy/wimpy and get the bus down to town in a minute 😳 it’s only 20 minutes downhill but today, nope. I think it’s only the third time I’ve done that in 3+ months.

Must buy tampons as well 🙄

Lovemaltesers · 03/11/2018 11:48

FFS DP has managed to scratch his car in the supermarket carpark.

Taking the bus sounds a good plan cag. You have to give yourself a break sometime.

And yes get rid em if keeping the stuff isn't helping.

WereWolfcub · 03/11/2018 12:01

Love is that the brand new car he’s scratched? I’d be gutted.

Stew bagged up for freezer, smelling very nice in the kitchen right now. Dishwasher on. Vacuuming done and floor washed. Have also put a load of laundry that didn’t need ironing away. That’s it apart from ironing and ferrying ds around to various things. I’m done for the weekend.

Ds and I just went and visited the music exam centre and it was okay. There are LED lights in a lot of places, but enough non-LED places for me to hide away quietly while we wait. Phew!

Em I totally understand your getting rid of the new baby stuff. I really very much intended to have a second one but in the end I charity shopped the baby stuff and felt so much better for it.

Lovemaltesers · 03/11/2018 13:21

Yep wolf. Fortunately not a brand new, new car as that would have knocked about £3k value off in one scratch. I'm not impressed- it really shows.

I've still not got rid of the baby stuff, just incase Hmm Being a bit undecided still isn't great and our loft is full. Think we're now 60/40 not though, and will probably make the decision to ditch the stuff soon.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 03/11/2018 13:40

That sounds sensible Em theres no rush to have another anyway.

Dd had a good riding lesson this morning, lots of cantering. Its bloody cold though.

We are taking girl cat to the vet nurse this afternoon to get her teeth checked, she gets a lot of mouth problems so want to check its not her teeth causing the issue. Am hoping not as dentals are £££ the appointment with the nurse is free.

Just had a look a the bank balance, its not great really as have spent loads recently, am hoping that i will get some money for my birthday which I can top the savings account up with. Have moved some money around as need to pay for the venue today £120. Will save money on food this month as planning on only doing top up shops and eating out of the cupboards and freezer but still got loads left to spend this month mostly on birthday prep! Turning 40 is expensive it seems Wink

ememem84 · 03/11/2018 14:21

Sad times. Got to the stables and saw that my fave little pony (not the one I usually ride) wasn’t there and another was in his stable. Turns out fave pony had to be put to sleep. I’ve rodden him twice and he was super cheeky.

AutumnLeaves12 · 03/11/2018 15:13

Sorry to hear that Em that's very sad.

AutumnLeaves12 · 03/11/2018 15:27

I just found ds and his friend sword fighting in the garden, and one of the swords was my new wall planner which had just been delivered in a cardboard tube. I have retrieved the calendar and left them with the tube.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 03/11/2018 15:49

Girl cats teeth are fine so that's good, picked up some cat biscuits as they were on offer £10.

Tired now and weather awful, was going to go and watch fireworks later but it's not tempting to go out atm! !

ememem84 · 03/11/2018 16:11

£50 garden centre on toys for catface, a new bowl and a food mat, garden clogs for fil (he’s wearing his gfs at present...) and our new calendar for 2019.

This is dh’s choice. I think it’s hilarious. This is why I married him.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 03/11/2018 16:25

Sorry to hear about the pony em.

We went out to the park for a bit and went home via morrisons as I needed black beans and chicken £4.42.

Home now and having a coffee before I start dinner

AutumnLeaves12 · 03/11/2018 16:36

Love the calendar Em. Well done your dh.

I have two hours until I go to my concert, if the fates are on my side. ds is a bit bonkers, and I'm hoping he's not coming down with something

This will be my second proper evening out since he was born, if it comes off. Gawd it's exciting.

LonelyOversharer · 03/11/2018 16:49

Went shopping. Asda £68, so could easily have done this in Morrissons (if my coupon was valid) £33 Lidl and £25 fuel for my car. £2 on a new 4.5mm crochet hook. I stepped on my soft grip one, and snapped it heffalump must stop leaving everything I own on my bed.

Oh, also £17 posting ebay sales, 7 I think, and dropped a wheel to go by hermes (£6, from paypal).

Got a whole pile of chocolate for dd1 (she wants a box filled with choc for christmas, right oh), a Reeces peanut butter cup advent calender for dd3 and new bra-tops for dd2 and dd3. So not all food shopping white toblerone for me

So sad em but they will have done whats best. Is your dh feeling a bit more settled now (ie, not being such a tit)? You have simply aaaages to decide on a dc2. It might just happen anyway (looks at dd3), but a 4 year gap is totally normal, so cut yourself some slack.

Moanranger · 03/11/2018 17:02

Fluffy not heard of nerve -massaging - will try. Better today, tho all painkillers & antibiotics affecting tum a bit. Am eating quite a bit of yogurt to counteract. Dentist said antibiotics would kick in & reduce pain PDQ. I thought “sure, right” as did chemist, but blimey, she’s right! Spent last night googling cracked tooth syndrome.
Adult day ( I like that! ) Stated at 8, house fully cleaned, bins sorted, bird feeders filled, & some (not all) leaves & hedge trimming swept. V careful shop with list, tho no joy finding ricotta ( Would need to go to The dreaded Sainsbury’s for that.) Toying with using cottage cheese, swished into creamy with hand mixer.
Now off to pick up DP & a (rare) meal out!

Wolfcub · 03/11/2018 17:25

We’re having Yorkers again tonight. You lot are my favourite bad influence. Roast dinner tonight. Yum. Will just be ready in time for strictly

ememem84 · 03/11/2018 18:15

Yeah really sad. But riding instructor did what was best for him. She was so so upset. He was her fave too.

Yes dh is being less of a tit. Still disorganised as fuck. But less of a tit. So I think we’ll chalk it all up to living with dparents.

Ds is having pizza and cut up veggies for his tea. He is excited.

LonelyOversharer · 03/11/2018 18:34

Quick tip from today...asda have 7.5kg bags of spuds in a brown bag, very cheap (£3 ish). They are Maris Peers (usually a first early, but these have been left to grow), and have just made perfect chips! Super crispy outside, fluffy insides. Ok we have a fryer, but perfect chip spuds are hard to come by. So chips and homemade sausage rolls for tea. Quick tea heaven.

Has wreck been around lately? She's not allowed to go awol...

Wolfcub · 03/11/2018 18:39

Em sorry to hear about dpony

Fluffycloudland77 · 03/11/2018 18:54

That’s a bargain lonely thank you. I’m going to put that on my supermarket price watch.

£3 to dh to fetch fish and chips.

lifelongfrugaleer · 03/11/2018 18:55

Sorry to hear about the pony em.
Love a proper chip lonely.

Does anyone have a spare £350k I can borrow. Just seen my dream house.

Wasted trip to a retail park today for sports kit. Although dd has changed her mind on her bed.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 03/11/2018 20:32

We had a nice time at the fireworks cost £8 to get in and spent another £3 on hot chocolate we took our own sweets.

LonelyOversharer · 03/11/2018 20:34

Think I've got that tucked down the sofa life I'll have a dig about for you...

ememem84 · 03/11/2018 20:38

Nope. I spent all my moneys on this place....

I’m guessing £350k buys you a lot more than it’d buy me.... our 2 bed apartment sold for £350k...
