thistime yes! I always checked they were still breathing Blush I used to spend hours getting dd1 to sleep, then wake her up in a panic once asleep. It truly wasn't useful. I got much better at parenting! Enjoy your tea. Am having a coffee. Two big girls up (dd1 left for her bus), will have to drag the others up in a moment.

I think it was a nsd yesterday, and two more £10 ebay things away. Yay. Ah, here comes dd3, time to move!

girlie ahem, now take it easy and let yourself heal, ok?! It's really good news though that it should heal without intervention.

Nerve pain here in the form of dp, his was done in a catastrophic accident and irreversible though you think I'd be more sympathetic so I know how debilitating it is. Definitely doesn't help when he tries to go without his meds though. I told him off like a toddler. I know he's concerened about his dependency on tramadol (constant dose, not increasing), but you don't just stop taking it without another pain management plan in place. His appt is in three weeks. I was very cross (literally a bear with a sore head and back), he didn't think to tell me, or think I would notice.

Right, must get them up...

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 19/09/2018 09:42

Yes lonely will try not to over do it, arms aching a lot today and I think that's due to having a fairly busy day Ystd 😕 will see how I go, am keen to avoid meds if possible but will take them if necessary.

I had a sort out of the larder cupboard Ystd was looking to see if there was anything else I could give to the food Bank. Embarrassingly I found a few tins past their sell by date and one packet of aribeto rice which was put of date in 2014 😶 oops frugal fail!!

That said I know what I've got now so will be more careful about not buying stuff we don't need!!

ememem84 · 19/09/2018 11:21

Morning.

Post office (again) today. And have to buy a sandwich.

Am down to my last £18 in my account. Roll on payday on Friday. Yippee!!!

Next month I am going to get a better handle on my finances. I say this every month....

Ds recieved a whopping £0.37p interest in his account this morning. More than I get....haha.

WreckTangled · 19/09/2018 11:26

I need to go to the post office too. Am also treating myself to lunch Blush not sure whether to have soup or a baguette...

Thatsnotmybookworm · 19/09/2018 13:12

Spends today:
£1 canteen

I also check DC are breathing all the time; although poor DD gets checked much less often than DS did at her age; he was pfb!

Bornlazy · 19/09/2018 13:23

Weather here is awful the wind is blowing a hooley. Cats are terrified and wouldn't come out from under the decking. I almost got hit on the head with a bit of a branch trying to lure them in Shock. Hope it dies down soon.

Should be a nsd today.

WreckTangled · 19/09/2018 13:32

I went for a baguette. £3.60

Very blowy here, sunny and dry though so have put the washing out and am praying it's not down the street later!!

Nsd.

Cagliostro · 19/09/2018 15:35

That looks yummy wreck

I had lentil chicken bacon and veg soup/stew. Enough made for a couple more lunches.

Spends ahead, we tried a new (to us) art class today, it was brilliant and the Caglets loved it. Plus included in the fee (£5 each, we can go as often as we want) they get to gradually do their Arts Award qualification thing. So money well spent as the boost from getting something officially certified will really help DD especially. The same lady also does a science equivalent called Crest, which will be organised differently so it’s a one off moderation fee (£40 each on sale) and we do more of it at home although as it’s a group of us friends there may be workshops etc. These awards are both things I heard about right back when we first took the Caglets out of school, but I knew we/they were in no way ready for anything like that. So it feels really great to know that it’s the right time now.

Also very excited that the class is really near - on the side of town we live on so maybe 15 minutes walk. We are allowed to drop and run so DH and I can have a date or in future the Caglets could walk themselves there (it’s only a tiny way past Asda which they go to a lot). We didn’t have so long today as I had to register etc but we popped to the pub for a soft drink. Living the high life :o

I need to go and do some Japanese planning now!

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 19/09/2018 15:42

Just spent £82 on Amazon Shock however £20 of that was a colleagues leaving gift so will get that back, the rest was Christmas giftsofor various people. Trying to get organised a bit....

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/09/2018 17:23

£9 soya milk
£1 scented candle
£10 petrol.

Made 9 portions of lentil soup for the freezer. Left it plain so I can add chilli or curry if I feel like it.

Wolfcub · 19/09/2018 17:32

Trains buggered due to weather, I think autumn is making its presence felt

mammynowanauntyIRL · 19/09/2018 17:44

€2 on fruit, seem to be going through an awful lot at the moment
€60 on diesel on fuel card
€60 on school annual contribution

Savings half a day's holiday, accountant suggested I keep it for another time as I'd loads of overtime last week.

CurlsandCurves · 19/09/2018 17:57

That baguette looks yum wreck

I’m off out tonight, woohoo! My friend has just completed her MA in fine art and it’s the class exhibition tonight. She’s dealt with very sensitive subject matter that is very close to her heart and the work she has produced is amazing. Can’t wait to actually see it in real life finally.

Plus a few of us are going out for a meal after to celebrate, yay!

QuitelovesStrictly · 19/09/2018 18:36

Tired
But ok
Crikey I got a work out cycling in the wind !
Hmmm think I might have a stalker 👀 again.
Im not that interesting really-knitting and food mainly Blush

Justanothermile · 19/09/2018 18:50

quite I'm sure we are one person....
Also knackered, also got a workout trying to run in the wind, also boring in RL and what you see here is what you get, also having leftovers (chilli)Grin

Justanothermile · 19/09/2018 18:54

Have a super night out curves.

Posted something to you life, via TNT.

girlie, I was very unfit for a very long time believe me. The core work makes the difference but you have to commit to it, not always easy. I tried running again when I could see that my naturally skinny form was starting to need some assistanceGrin

£3.36 Aldi.
£35 Physio, club rates so massage for me and a session for Dd, who has damaged some tendons in her foot.

QuitelovesStrictly · 19/09/2018 18:56

Justanothermile · 19/09/2018 18:58

Nofilter · 19/09/2018 19:00

Hello AGAIN!

I'm
Pleased to report I have totally overhauled my finances and know where every penny is spent.

We started our household budget on September 1st and are learning a LOT.

We don't need to be too frugal and can live comfortably but it's really motivating when you see in black and white how much you spend on things!!

I'm going to rejig a few accounts as I currently have our BTL properties mortgages and rent going into my current account and think it would be clearer if that all had its own account.... especially for tax returns.

So I spend most of my spare money on coffee, chocolate and takeaways!

Coffee is a biggie I'm spending c£20-30 a WEEK! Plus £50/PCM in pods for our machine at home (that's for the family too who also drink loads). I gave up booze a couple of years ago and became a coffee fan - might look into a really good coffee travel cup - although when I've done this in the past I've ended up forgetting it in my car and not sticking to it.

Takeaways - whenever it's just me in the house I go for the easiest option - spent £87 so far this month (yikes!) two of them I had 1 guest.

The biggest thing I'm proud of myself for is totally cutting out spending on Ebay and amazon at night. Someone suggested I still browse and even add things to my shopping cart and just don't check out - that's working for me!!

Hope you frugaleers are all well :-)

Spends today
£13.10 Corner Shop bits
£3.10 Chips eaten on the beach yum!

Bowerbird5 · 19/09/2018 19:04

I recently bought some Co op strawberries marked down to £1.50 per large double pack. I bought four ate one and used the left over jam sugar to make strawberry jam. It is delicious.

Bought some candles for Christmas gifts at £5 each.

ChristmasSeacow · 19/09/2018 19:06

A stalker on mn Quite? Is that A Thing?

Quick question : how big is a cake pop supposed to be? I’ve made 30 for DS’s class (birthday thing) but think I may have got the size wildly wrong!

Bowerbird5 · 19/09/2018 19:11

No filter
My friend used to do that. She accounted for every penny and found it very enlightening.
Love chips on the beach. We used to live by the sea and every Friday night mums and kids from the village used to nab a hot spot near the piers. We used to take a sharing picnic and someone would go for chips. Lovely days.

Bowerbird5 · 19/09/2018 19:11

About the size of a Chubb lolly pop.

Cagliostro · 19/09/2018 19:21

I would say a bit bigger than that.

But then I would also say there is no such thing as “too big” when it comes to cake. 😳
