www.hotukdeals.com/deals/3l-slow-cooker-stainless-steel-for-9-george-free-cc-3033749 £9 slow cooker. Ive had this one for at least ten years.

You'll make the right decision Em.

Girlie I hope this is a manageable condition.

£1.50 lidl veg box. 3 peaches, punnet raspberries, 2 small oranges, pack of baby plum tomatoes, 4 potatoes, 3 peppers, 2 pink lady apples, one Bramley apple, huge head of broccoli, one romaine lettuce, one iceberg lettuce, pack of celery sticks, 2 gala apples, 3 sweet potatoes. Mostly chopped up and frozen now.

£2 work stuff

I just need to order a menstrual cup off eBay. Seen an Irish seller doing them for a few quid. Should be

QuitelovesStrictly · 31/08/2018 14:50

It says out of stock Fluffy

AdoraBell · 31/08/2018 15:01

Frugal win today, people I help on Fridays had lots of produce left over, they gave me pears, oranges, lemons and 2 x iceberg lettuce 😁 one supermarket, who shall remain nameless are a bit shoddy with sorting short date products. But Morrison’s need a ⭐️ no one went away hungry.

Spent £40 on stationary supplies for school.
£2.50on Big Issue
Zilch on coffee and cake, I made DH pay because he’s being mardy Hmm

Need to collect clothes that have been altered later, that’s £15.

Girlie I hope you get pain relief and can get work duties that don’t aggravate the problem.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 31/08/2018 15:13

Thanks everyone, you're all lovely.

Not sure what the implications might be seacow trying not to think about it too much!! Have spoken to work and looks like I'll be on light visits and office duties for a bit.

NSD.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 31/08/2018 15:29

Not sure what Ikea playtunnel is like but we've had this one [[https://www.argos.co.uk/product/4598037 Chad Valley Playtunnel] and mine absolutely loved it. For a finish it lived at Granny's house and they used it until they were too big to fit through it and a wire came out through the fabric, it was great because it folded up tiny

Justanothermile · 31/08/2018 16:41

Poor you girlie. It's more usual I think to have some form of change in the lower back, consider yourself specialGrin

They are certainly a good deal those boxes from Lidl.

You've lost me now catsandboots, no bleedin' idea who you are..!

Good news on the rebate curls and glad you had a great time.

curvy, that sounds like a couple of hours of your life that you'll never get back watching Sherlock GnomesGrin

Has work settled life?

I've had a busy day and I'm a bit knackered anyway, just a low level virus, nothing to be in the slightest bit worried about but I'm a bit grumpier than usual.

I've made buns, cookies, humous, done the tip, sorted tea, sorted out 5 kitchen cupboards that really needed it and sorted my baking stuff out. And instructed the accountant to wind up a small consultancy business we had for commissions that DH sometimes was paid, so that things were above board.

Never done cookies before, who knew how easy they were?

fluffy. Behold.....

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 31/08/2018 17:23

Haha jam, it actually wasn't that bad and it was free! I'm back to work Monday so it was all about #makingmemories 🤣
The instant pot looks good

lifelongfrugaleer · 31/08/2018 17:39

Oh jam you haven't have you!! Is that an insta pot thing. Honest review please.

No work is still shit and I cried today. Not my finest week.

£25 to up shop, £45 kids clubs.

Cats and boots, you have lost me too. Although I have taken a guess, not sure though.

A thorough second viewing is a good idea em. Do you have dimension of your furniture?

Girlie I'm sorry I don't know what that neck diagnosis means but hope you get sorted.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 31/08/2018 17:49

life sorry to hear that about work, hopefully the weekend will be a good one for you.

It looks very technical jam I still want one I don't need one though

ChristmasSeacow · 31/08/2018 18:01

I love making cookies. DS likes squishing them down on the tray with a fork to make lines on them Grin

Best not to google, Girlie! Hope there’s a prospect of recovery anyway, and good that work are being accommodating.

I had that play tunnel for DS Mammy. It was fine, though got eaten by mice in the shed over last winter Angry hence replacing. The fabric of the Ikea one looks a bit sturdier tbh. I’ll report back in spring on what the mice think of it Grin

I have 600 ball pit balls I’m trying to find a home for Cag! Not very economical to send though.

Now, what is this about Morrison's and puffins?! I have a thing about puffins but I DON’T have a handy Morrison’s! Any photos? Is it worth a pilgrimage? I bought a few bits of Morrisons clothes for dd in a branch near Durham a couple of weeks ago. But I didn’t think to look at the baby boy stuff! I was in a hurry because DS and DH were waiting for me so I couldn’t have s proper browse.

Today got even spendier... I went to Waitrose to use another £14 off £70 spend but they also had a 25% off wine (if you buy 6 bottles). That was a really good deal combined so... Christmas booze very much sorted now. DH will hide it in the garage out of temptation’s way.

I had a phone call in the middle of writing this so will have cross posted with lots of you!

ChristmasSeacow · 31/08/2018 18:06

Oh no Life that sucks. Any prospect of work improving in the foreseeable?

Cats do you know one of us irl? If not I’m lost too!

mammynowanauntyIRL · 31/08/2018 18:07

I'm hungry and won't be home for another 2 hours stop talking about food you guys Grin

Wolfcub · 31/08/2018 18:07

Jam I too am looking forward to your honest review. I’ve wanted one for a year now so it’s not a passing thing but it’s a lot of money to spend if I don’t like it

Girlie sorry to hear that and hope orthopaedics can help, glad work are being supportive. I have changes in one or two of my L’s and I can imagine the neck is somewhat more painful so you have lots of Wolfy sympathy and tea ☕️

Life hope you are ok, is there anything is fellow civ serpents can do to help?

Spent the day out with friends. Have sunburn. Bought lunch. Ds destroyed his trainers which he’s had for six weeks!

lifelongfrugaleer · 31/08/2018 18:24

Thanks wolf. Appreciate the offer. I'm ringing acas on Monday I think for some advice

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 31/08/2018 18:30

Life, hope things improve soon Flowers

LSD £5.60 on popcorn and drinks.

Fluffycloudland77 · 31/08/2018 18:31

Jam Excellent, You and LLL can give us honest reviews. Has your ds shown any interest?.

Life I'm so sorry, it must have been really bad to cry. I've cried at work and dh assures me I am quite Vulcan like normally.

Sea Bargin wine haul. Now to try to forget it's there. No traipsing round the booze aisle for you this December.

I made raspberry muffins, vegan, I think it uses too much fruit or Australian raspberry are maybe smaller? mine were huge (not a brag, just a fact) bit soggy but I am impressed with the base mix. Just flour, oil, sugar, cider vinegar, pinch of salt and baking powder.

Four weeks evening meals being delivered tomorrow. Bit nervous as I only have a built in 3 drawer freezer.

Unescorted Was it you who recommended Roberts coffee? Nicest coffee ever. Without a doubt. I want organic though and the Bourbon beans aren't strong enough for my morning coffee but I will miss the smell of those beans in the morning. The aroma is amazing.

TakeItSlow · 31/08/2018 18:35

I've had a day of eating frogs and am feeling much more cheery about things now. I had got so behind that it was ridiculous but I am catching up like the clappers now. I've even had my hair cut, which is pretty exciting.

I've collected ds's French horn, which involved using the satnav, which I've only done once before, but it worked fine and I had a nice day. I had a blood test, which was fine, and I paid for my violin lesson which was two months ago, so it really needed doing.

Anyway, stooging on... One more week until school.

Cagliostro · 31/08/2018 18:37

Welcome catsandboots brilliant name.

Spent £28 in wilko after my blood test and got loads for that as stuff was on half price like the shampoo we all use. Caglets go through it super fast, I’m now wondering about decanting into a dispenser type bottle... hmm. Anyway also got some plate stacking shelf thingies which I’m really pleased about as I was all set to spend a lot more on amazon as I couldn’t find them anywhere else. And other bits and pieces including a spirit level as we have coat hooks etc to put up.

600 balls seacow!!! I wasn’t sure how many to get but I’m hoping she will like them. Planning to stick her in the playpen while I’m doing written work with the Caglets sometimes when DH is at work, they probably wouldn’t focus longer than half an hour anyway. So sometimes she can have the balls and other times just other toys. I forgot you aren’t near a Morrison’s, I mentioned it as quite a few of the clothes you’ve sent are Nutmeg too! I think they are lovely this season but not sure when I will be back in the shop, I can take a pic when I am though.

Since DD1’s phone is still drying in rice I finally switched mine over to DSD’s old iPhone so DD can have my android. Expect frequent autocorrect fails while I get used to it!

£33.in vet on syringes ( for the diabetic cat)

£12.60 in cafe with DS , I only has coffee ( but he gave me his Liz Earle monthly free box of goodies worth over £100 - hes working there on a temp contract - all full size stuff inc their fab posh moisturiser which sells for £42 a small pot Grin).. Frugal win here , (I knew it was worth having a child! )

£54 in Lidl , mostly on wine promotions that DH wanted me to get . but some fab veg and cheese. (I really keep forgetting to go to Lidl , why? its fab..)

Ive just been stung on the elbow by a wasp Sad, so I am having a white Lidl Wine already ( its medicine , right? )

Jamies chicken and chorizo traybake with lots of extra veg for dinner (and more Wine medicine - hic)

Laska5772 · 31/08/2018 18:41

I cant work out cats and boots either.. we need a clue..

Thatsnotmybookworm · 31/08/2018 18:43

Spends today
£60 supermarket delivery
£27 nails (pricier than my usual place, but near work so I can get them done at lunchtime; will have to Weigh that one up a bit more).
£133 car service.

I'm very late to this conversation @Justanothermile, but does DS know how to do a basic roast dinner? Just popping some meat in the oven with a bit of veg; mashing potatoes nicely; making a simple gravy with the meat juices. I think most men love a roast dinner and a simple one is pretty easy.

TakeItSlow · 31/08/2018 18:45

I'm still pipe dreaming about that coat. Grin

SnugglySnerd · 31/08/2018 18:53

Sorry I am reading but not posting. Trying to get on with things in last week of hols (nothing like the last minute for getting things done!)

Wolfcub · 31/08/2018 18:55

Does catsandboots have a lovely big garden, good legs and a very hairy cat?
