The majority of the nurseries here are term time only. We had to register ds for his place at ours before he was born to get in. Ours closes Only on the bank holidays.

We needed all year as between us we only get 60 days off a year. So not enough to cover school holidays!

WreckTangled · 17/08/2018 10:54

Laska can I ask you a HA question? About being given notice? Bil's ex is saying something that doesn't ring true to me 🤔😁

Laska5772 · 17/08/2018 11:08

Pm me wreck withthe details . Tenancies are not really my area and it can be different for each HA /area butI might know ( or I could ask someone who would )

WreckTangled · 17/08/2018 11:14

Thanks will do!

QuitelovesStrictly · 17/08/2018 11:22

Wooohoo!
£25 cashback from MSE energy club Smile
Crikey I had no idea there were term time only nurseries (none of mine were in CC)
Great for teachers but not great for those who need to covers holidays .
Having a big garden clear up today 😐
Not really in the mood but dont want to leave allthedeadthings it until the weather gets worse and then it wont be done.
Planning for a very minimal food spend month coming up as the freezers are packed and I need to plan for christmas food.

SnugglySnerd · 17/08/2018 11:52

Quite our nursery is open all year. They just offer term time places if you work in a school (you have to prove it).

ScandiLady · 17/08/2018 11:59

Our kindergarten is open all year and daycarer will be covered by someone else when she's off. But we get highly subsidised here so our bill is a lot lower, we pay 345£ per month for 2 dds. And July is payment free.
But we have choosen private school for dds so we'll have to keep paying for that.

ememem84 · 17/08/2018 12:28

Spends £12 paperchase birthday cards for dh from ds and me. Thank you card for estate agent. New baby card for estate agent. New home card for our buyers.

£5.20 toasted peri peri wrap and crisps.

£28 M&S on bits to complete our first Friday “picky tea” with dparents. Dh is buying the celebratory bubbly.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 17/08/2018 13:42

Quiet day here post holiday, 3rd lot of washing on and am grateful that it's sunny and windy so perfect drying conditions!

Dd is happy hanging out in her room, I've done sorting out and some gardening, am now having a little lie down!!

Do need to go to aldi later though and buy a load of stamps to get my bday invites off.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 17/08/2018 13:44

I found some pure wool bootie/slippers in the gift shop Ystd reduced to £10, I bought them as will be amazing in the winter!!

ScandiLady · 17/08/2018 14:12

Fluffycloudland77 · 17/08/2018 14:22

North There was a woman on tv a few years ago who did a golf degree and was employed as a coach at a famous golf club on a massive salary. Would something similar suit your ds? they say the secret to happiness is getting paid for what you enjoy.

£5 lidl
£1.42 morrisons.

lifelongfrugaleer · 17/08/2018 14:40

On hotel free WiFi as there is thunder grumbles and they have shut the pool.
Frugal win was going to go to a cafe for lunch but dd got jellyfished. Got lovely HM pizza slices instead 3€ each.

ememem84 · 17/08/2018 16:39

Apartment is sold.

Dm said we’re now refugees.

Bornlazy · 17/08/2018 16:51

Need to try and run my freezers down too as the one in my garage doesn't work in the winter and its quite full at the moment. Probably about two weeks worth of meals in them.

Life hope DS's foot is ok and that your thunder storm clears the air. I always think the thunder and lightning in Spain is really spectacular.

Congratulations em just think of all that money in the bank Grin

lifelongfrugaleer · 17/08/2018 17:05

It's been a damp squib. Nothing other than thunder grumbles. Started to rain about an hour ago. (It's 6pm here) luckily the hotel has fab kids facilities and free WiFi

lifelongfrugaleer · 17/08/2018 17:06

Enjoy your bank balance until your purchase goes through em.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 17/08/2018 17:25

£13 stamps, birthday invites have gone off - eek!

Not feeling great today, ache all over and very tired, post holiday tiredness I think...

QuitelovesStrictly · 17/08/2018 18:30

Born
I want to run down my indoor freezer which is a whole half an American style fridge/freezer for all my Christmas baking/purchases such as a large gammon, nice puds etc.

Planning on doing "raw"mincepies and sausage rolls ready to cook.
Does anyone know of naice good quality sausage meat ready to cook sausage rolls -not supermarket cheapo ones?
If not will have to make and freeze.

Shopmium -Poppables from Coop free -they are some sort of crunchy snacky thing which will do for up coming horsey day out packed lunch .

Thatsnotmybookworm · 17/08/2018 18:41

£10 local shop. Frugal fail really as I had both DC with me so was trying to get in and out without all hell breaking loose, and not choosing very sensibly .
Congratulations again @ememem84.

MrsMozart · 17/08/2018 18:49

Oops. I feel I may need to re-swear my allegiance to the Fine Art of Frugaleering... It's been an expensive few weeks and I need to get my financial a t back together BlushConfused

ScandiLady · 17/08/2018 19:09

Great-grandmother called, her freezer is not working so shipped dh off... Then jusg as he left my grandmother called that her floor was full of water, so went there to help dry up and now waiting for dh to come and fix the issue. Bonus is free home made chicken casserole at grandmother.

ememem84 · 17/08/2018 20:13

No judgement please.

£34 Bruce cliqout.

And £10 prosecco to leave i. My old fridge for new owners. So.

ememem84 · 17/08/2018 20:14

Veuve cliqout. Not Bruce. Bruce is the lesser of the cliqout brothers.

LonelyOversharer · 17/08/2018 20:47

em just fanstatic news! Enjoy the bubbly.

Suddenly got the "I have to go to ikea" thing mid afternoon. So we set off once I got home from work (£150 off the garage tab as it's payday). £12 in costco on tea for 5 - no other purchases! £88 ikea, 8 storage boxes and loads of picture frames. 3 ice creams in ikea, and £18 in b&q on seals for the sink (dp had some sort of tidal wave disaster today - I didn't ask) and those sticky picture hanging things. Finally I can cover the very bright tealy turquoise wall up the stairs in pictures like I planned 5 years ago

En route home stopped at sainsburys for my weedy coffee, milk and bicarb...no treats at all. £4.90. Then filled the car with boxes from my storage unit. They are loft bound tomorrow. So tired now. But have lots of work (£60+) to get done before monday.

fluffy yes! But dd1 is the worlds oldest wisest teenager. She's agreed to come and chat to me about an implant before she becomes sexually active! I sometimes miss my little toddler with her blondie curls who used to watch cbeebies sitting on my lap!
