Orange I think the fact that you even have any savings is something to be very proud of!

ememem84 · 15/07/2018 17:58

Wahhhhhioooooo viva la France!!! Allez les bleus!!!! Champions du monde!!!!

Fluffycloudland77 · 15/07/2018 18:06

I bet plums freeze if your going to use them for cooking anyway.

QuiteCleanBandit · 15/07/2018 18:08

I would freeze them fluffy have done many times ,but due to recent bread bargains I dont have room Grin

Fluffycloudland77 · 15/07/2018 18:22

Next doors kids have been screaming all day long. Then the parents start. My ears are bleeding.

I bought a Geoff Hamilton (rip) book on amazon, £2.75 but I paid using vouchers I got from the media cell app so its free.

I stopped myself from ordering seeds earlier. If I do enough e reward surveys I can get most of my plants from the ebay seller lonely recommended for free. Then I can divert funds to a rotavator for turning over & mixing compost in. It's an extravagance but I'm literally child sized and dh hates gardening. So a rotovator will be needed.

Wolfcub · 15/07/2018 18:22

Or plum jam Quite. I love plum jam

We're being given bottled water as they think our water might go (apparently due to a technical fault but seems a coincidence if you ask me!)

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/07/2018 19:22

Yeah em, good news on your wind fall.
That's pants and a right pain wreck. How long for?
That was for 2 drinks but yes I need a new middle sized flask.
Plums freeze well.

QuiteCleanBandit · 15/07/2018 19:57

I was heartbroken and cried .
Alan Titchmarsh a poor replacement Hmm

SunnyLikeThursday · 15/07/2018 20:01

How tall are you Fluffy? I'm all curious now.

LonelyOversharer · 15/07/2018 21:09

We went to the beach. Sandyhills in Dumfries and Galloway, a longish journey for us, but we had a really good afternoon. It was cloudy and a mere 19°, it was bliss!

£2 parking, £87 ShockShock a full tank of diesel, 2 coffees and snacks,
And £35 on a Maccyd's tea for us, which is a stupid amount, but only 1 out of 6 has a kids meal now.

The dc were great, ran about like loonies, threw sand and lumps of muddy clay at each other, and didn't complain at eating drive thru in the car.

So I spent a load, but thats hopefully 2 weeks of diesel, and it's so nice to just go out and get tea as a treat without having that sicky feeling that it's going to leave me short later in the week.

wreck so glad you're feeling better. Thats scary how quickly your sugars go screwy.

Can you rent a rotavator fluffy since you'd only need it once really? Once the soil is turned over thoroughly, it should be good for a long time.

I called France to win before the world cup started. Wish I'd put a bloody bet on now. But great for you em!

AdoraBell · 15/07/2018 21:12

NSD

SnugglySnerd · 15/07/2018 21:23

Congratulations Em!

Welcome Orange

Hopeyou are OK Wreck.

NSD. Just checked bank balance and it's far far better than I was expecting. Have set up cc payment for the day it's due. Still have a couple of bills to go out too. I wish I could coordinate them all for the same day.

Fluffycloudland77 · 15/07/2018 21:24

Yes, totally renting one. I've got nowhere to store one anyway.

5'5", but very narrow shouldered sunny

CremeEggThief · 15/07/2018 21:34

Welcome to Orange.

£14 Dominos pizza!

SunnyLikeThursday · 15/07/2018 21:37

That's very tall indeed Fluffy. When I was at University all my friends were 5'3", including the boys. You sound a lovely shape btw. I also like a rotavator.

CurlsandCurves · 15/07/2018 21:49

Well, the sky box is now behaving! But I’m not cancelling the appointment because you can guarantee it’ll start again if I do, lol

Congrats on the win @ememem. @wreck hope you’re ok now.

Hi @orange!

Fluffycloudland77 · 15/07/2018 22:00

I think that's why sky boxes sell well on ebay, cheaper to replace than get sky out.

SunnyLikeThursday · 15/07/2018 22:00

Gosh Wreck I missed all that. I'm glad you're okay now.

Cagliostro · 15/07/2018 22:11

Not caught up yet, had 24h without WiFi! 😱😭

Lovely weekend visit to family but I had massive, massive anxiety issues. Like, near to panic attack issues. It was scary :( I just wanted to run away/hide/cry and it was so hard to keep it in check in front of the Caglets. I was really snappy with them as well. I’ve not had anything like that for a long time. I didn’t have enough battery or signal to come and chat here or FB chat either which would have definitely helped. Got through it though.

Sunny thank you for posting that about drinks. Bizarrely even as I was panicking I was really, really craving fizz. And once I had a drink I did feel calmer. I tend to crave it when anxious, I generally try and keep fizzy stuff to restaurants/pubs but when I’m feeling panicky it is a go-to.

My GP once told me to drink fizzy water as it would raise my BP (it’s too low because of POTS). However I had to point out that sometimes fizzy stuff also raises my pulse. Which is too high... because of POTS 😂🤦‍♀️ the human body’s a weird old thing isn’t it? So many factors. I have to be careful because of caffeine as well, DD and I are ridiculously sensitive to it and get anxious/heart-racy.

I’m really glad you took the time to explain that about the alkaline blood etc. 💐

SunnyLikeThursday · 15/07/2018 22:20

Cag I'm really glad that helped, but also sorry you had a tough day. I have a friend who has panic attacks after moving house, in spite of being quite calm normally. I think maybe this is just a time when rests need to be scheduled in for doing a bit of quiet reflection, though how on earth you do that with a flitting and three children, I've no idea. Take care there. I hope the dust settles for you really soon.

Cagliostro · 15/07/2018 22:27

Thank you Thanks it was partly that we were doing something so new and I get anxious about staying at people’s houses anyway. But I think it is much worse due to all the changes going on (which are also affecting the Caglets and therefore they are more stimmy etc which I find really hard and then get anxious about their behaviour...)

This is the kind of thing though where having that asd diagnosis really does help. It didn’t stop the panic but it gave me some insight and the ability to be kinder to myself, which did stop it escalating even more.

SunnyLikeThursday · 15/07/2018 22:33

That does sound difficult cag. You did really well to plough on through it.

I told my dm about my diagnosis today and she said "That's great then. That's good that that's going to be useful. " Heroic parenting.

I just read a page online about asd for GPs and it says that on an average gp's list of 2000 people they should expect 22 asd people. That made me laugh, as I think here it's more likely to be every third person.

SunnyLikeThursday · 15/07/2018 23:31

I just added £30 worth of sheet music to my basket in amazon and then shut the tab without buying anything. #restraint.

ememem84 · 16/07/2018 07:36

Morning y’all.

I’ve just logged into my paypal account and noticed I had £64 in there. So have transferred that out into my ac and to my credit card. It’s from a refund for some online shopping which id forgotten about. So that’s a bonus.

Payday on Friday. Yippee! Will spend the next month keeping a much tighter rein on the finances.

Spends this week: £39 beautician on Thursday. Food shop on Tuesday. Have to buy lunch today as all we have for lunch boxes is....lettuce.
