I'm here just been really busy with work, birthdays, life etc

Meadow I had a forceps delivery with dd (no pain relief) and just an episiotomy with ds as they thought they might have to rush him out. Anyway it's the episiotomy which makes it painful each time it was a good couple of weeks before I could sit comfortably. Imagine you had been cut in the corner of your mouth 2cm and stitched up, how long would you expect for it to heal? Every time you spoke it would hurt and it would make it take longer to heal. Your episiotomy is the same and every time you walk it's going to aggravate it. It will get better but it just takes a little time.

Place marking
€43.00 on tickets for a gig - my friend will give me half back.
This was my only personal spend yesterday.
€20 on horse riding for dd also.

Hopefully today will be a nsd too

Hi to everyone, I'm reading but not charting much at the moment

WreckTangled · 24/06/2018 08:17

Also dd has head lice for the first time ever. Don't think I have them but treating us both anyway, the boys are ok.

Wolfcub · 24/06/2018 08:18

Morning all. Need to go to Sainsbury’s later as ds needs a packed lunch. Off to look at the Biden sale now as I need tops for holidays. Fluffy you are an enabler of the best sort.
I have some very sunburned bits after yesterday’s outing. Have a lovely frugal Sunday everyone

ememem84 · 24/06/2018 08:24

Morning. I woke up early this morning to get ds out of bed. But he’s gone back to sleep...

So I’m enjoying quietness. Dh is still sleeping - his phones gone off twice because he’s meant to by face timing mil,,,but whatever.

lifelongfrugaleer · 24/06/2018 08:25

Aldi, Iceland and the tip today. Dd has a party £10 in the card.

Have you got the hair stuff wreck. Round here if you take evidence to a chemist your hey the child's stuff free

lifelongfrugaleer · 24/06/2018 08:26

Can't be helped if you slept through it em

WreckTangled · 24/06/2018 08:28

Life we don't have that service in our area but I got one from amazon which has great reviews, it's Australian and apparently kills eggs too which none of the ones over here do.

northender · 24/06/2018 08:30

Morning All.
Good day yesterday. I did some work prep in the garden in the sun, watched the end of a genuinely thrilling cricket match (ds not involved, he was playing elsewhere & not having a good day) and then spent a lovely couple of hours catching up with a friend.
Seem to have overspent again in June so need to try to pull that back in July if we can.
Today I will be watching the football at the cricket club, doing more work prep and generally preparing for the week ahead. My anxiety levels have been high lately so I'm trying to plan & be more organised which definitely helps.
Ds' eyes seem to be a bit better. We saw the consultant on Monday. It was quite brutal as he attacked the cysts with tweezers/forceps & no local anaesthetic. Ds was stifling cries, I felt sick by the time we left Sad. Since then we have been following a strict regime of twice daily warm compresses, massage & bathing the eyes. It's his Prom on Tuesday & he is desperate for them to look better in time for that so well motivated.

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/06/2018 08:32

Pity you can’t a spot on treatment like you would for cats really. It would save a lot of bother.

Wolf Don’t forget to get cashback or nectar points. Boden sells well on eBay.

I need sunblock and hair protector so I’ll look on the boots app for extra points coupons.

lifelongfrugaleer · 24/06/2018 08:36

That's a shame wreck. Pleased you got some though.
What's good in the Boden sale?

northender · 24/06/2018 08:47

In kind of frugal news, I've been accepted on to the independent prescribing training which work is funding, but I've also had word that I can carry over the credits to my Masters programme. That will mean that I will only need to complete one more module next year which I'm hopeful work will fund and come out with a Post grad diploma in respiratory medicine (two thirds of the MSc). I gave up on the idea of a full MSc when I was ill but really want to come out with something without having to fund it myself.
Lots of hard work ahead but it should protect my current grade and possibly open up other opportunities.

ememem84 · 24/06/2018 09:14

True...

Lovely dinner last night with dparents for DMs birthday. Totally not frugal on their part. Dparents went to local fish market and spent a staggering £90 (!?) on smoked salmon, longuestines, prawns, lobster, crab. Dm also made spare ribs. And cooked some chicken. With salad. Potatoes. Bread. It was delish. And some wine. Le yum.

All eaten outside in the sun.

Dh decided to be funny and point out that my throat seemed better. That I’d perked up. Etc etc (yes. Because I’d rested all day...)

Incidentally it’s not hurting at all today. Hooray! So I’m going riding today instead.

Wolfcub · 24/06/2018 09:30

£200 Boden sale. Four jersey dresses for hols. A posh tshirt and denim shorts (not in sale but 10% off). 8% cashback through quidco. I’ve had no luck with Boden at all this year though so it could well all be going straight back

WreckTangled · 24/06/2018 09:39

Dh sent me a message yesterday saying wreckcat had been run over. I was googling the ooh vets when he sent me this photo Hmm

The Friendly Frugaleers, halfway through June!
SnugglySnerd · 24/06/2018 09:58

Can't see the photo. Is Wreckcat ok?

Garden and football is on the agenda for today. Shouldn't require any spending.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 24/06/2018 10:10

Also have sunburned bits ironically not from my 3 hours at the beach but from reading a magazine in the sun while dd was at horse riding judging by the outline Grin

Wreck that's a good photo Grin

WreckTangled · 24/06/2018 10:14

Snuggly wreckcat was under ds' giant car transporter lying on his back

ememem84 · 24/06/2018 10:53

I can’t see the photo either. Hmm.

Glad wreckcat is ok though!

WreckTangled · 24/06/2018 11:00

How about now?

The Friendly Frugaleers, halfway through June!
LighthouseSouth · 24/06/2018 11:25

tip for anyone who uses body lotion, esp those sprays

apols if very obvious!

if you get liquid glycerin and mix it with water in a spray bottle, it's basically the same thing. Moisturises pretty well. Can't tell how cheap it will be but I reckon, very!!

Wolfcub · 24/06/2018 12:12

£68 Sainsbury’s spendy day today.

lifelongfrugaleer · 24/06/2018 12:33

That's funny wreck but your heart must have sank.
£68 in Aldi which was very entertaining as they was till rage. Then £21 in Iceland £2 to next doors twins who came home from hospital yesterday. I will get a present in the week.

ememem84 · 24/06/2018 12:36

wreck haha! Can see the picture now!

It is hot here.

Dh is moaning because he wanted to spend the day at the beach before I went riding at 3. He’s just got out of bed/in the shower. Ds is napping. So no beach today until after riding.

Have been to dparents to collect parcels which arrived and have hoofed 15kg of cat litter up the stairs to our apartment. Ds is 10kg but the litter felt lighter. Probably because he’s such a wriggle!

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/06/2018 15:17

£26 boots. £4 advantage points back. It would have been £7 but dh decided not to buy branded anti histamine for the first time ever.

Years supply of straightener protection and a good six months sunblock.

BBQ tonight.
