Oh dear. Sorry to hear that Wreck. That's great that your ds eats so well. He must be a fine strong chap.

Christmas you're being so heroic there. Well done. How you manage two tantrums at once, I cannot imagine. Glad your dh helps too.

Wolf that does not sound like a fun situation. Hang in there.

I had a luxurious day today of going food shopping by myself while dh looked after ds. I always feel more relaxed going out by myself if ds is with dh rather than at school.

I also feel much more relaxed after my holiday away. Must do that again. Yay!

Payday tomorrow :-) now to work out next month's budget.

Last month’s overdraft: £350.40
Today’s overdraft: £405.45
Increase of £55.05
Available money in groceries account / purse to offset overdraft = £106.12
This month’s overdraft total: £299.33
Reduction of £51.07

Which sounds great that I managed to pay £50 off but it wasn’t good really when it means all of my surplus in the groceries account which I had accumulated has all gone.

Did 1.25 hours overtime today as it was irritating me not having a round figure (we get paid for 15 minutes & above) so I have done 7 in total this week. Not sure if I can do any tomorrow, but hopefully I will be able to do one of the weekend days.

Only lost 0.5lbs at SW this week but it is still 19.5lbs off in 9 weeks. I didn’t have any cash and didn’t want to draw any money out so I paid for a 6-week prepay on my debit card which will come out tomorrow. I didn’t buy any hi-fi bars or a raffle ticket either as I have plenty in the cupboard already..

Also found a sauce packet mix in the cupboard which meant I didn’t have to go to the shop today to buy something.

Right off to work out my budget for next month which is a long one...32 days and 5 weekends.

Frugal win:

Dh saw his boss putting five David Walliams books in the skip so got them for dd.

Wolfcub · 12/04/2018 19:02

That’s a great frugal win Wreck

SnugglySnerd · 12/04/2018 19:25

£11 on bits and pieces in the supermarket and I remembered it's my niece's birthday next week so I need to pop a tenner in a card.

Unescorted · 12/04/2018 19:52

Evening.

Em good to hear that nursery is going well. Ours didn't go until they were much older. DS was 3 and DD 2 isn't. Both of them were "laters" in the morning and "who did you say you were again?" In the evening..... ungrateful little things they were. I used to kid myself that it was because they were such well centred little things. I now realise the nursery and a better toy selection.

Wolf that is a tough position to be in. You sound as if you have a really good relationship with your DS so I am sure it will work out in the end.

Mammy thanks for the new thread.

Sea hope your dad is feeling comfortable. I am pleased you are going to see him. It is important to have those final discussions. I know when my dad was diagnosed it was really difficult to not try and make the last days really good and leave the uncomfortable unsaid. It is only now when he responded well to the trail that I realise the importance of tying up the loose ends.

Today's frugal dinner...sad carrot soup. Which was lovely

Unescorted · 12/04/2018 19:53

scarlet that is an amazing weight loss.

mammymammyIRL · 12/04/2018 20:47

Muscle food pizza was expensive but one pizza will do me 3 meals so about €2 per meal, that's ok for a real treat I think

CremeEggThief · 12/04/2018 21:52

The cottage sounds good, Mammy. Let us know how the viewing goes.

Great weight loss, Scarlet.

Amazing ice-cream. Envy

Spends: £3.88 Aldi; £1.35 Lidl; £1 chemist; £1.20 bus. Total: £7.43.

Unescorted · 12/04/2018 21:57

I nearly fell off my perch earlier....dh said he is going to finish the decorating that he started many moons ago. I have left it on principal.

We are also going out for lunch tomorrow....his suggestion. What has happened to my real husband? He appears to have been replaced with a slightly wonky clone.

Wolf it doesn't seem 2 minutes since the Easter holidays.

lifelongfrugaleer · 12/04/2018 22:12

What's a muscle food pizza? Looks nice, I will Google it.

YY to update on the cottage mammy.

Wolf, as will have seen it all. I should think they will be fine with questions if you explain that you are some one who needs to understand and ask everything. If what has happened what I think it might be they will be more worried about obstruction and lack of insight than wanting to understand.
The offer of pm is always open.

£8.80 repeat prescription.
Got a mortgage agent in principle today. Need to see if I can rent or my house next.

AuditAngel · 12/04/2018 22:25

Evening all.
Panther trip to London for me today, but all work. Train/car parking can all be reclaimed.

I had MacDonalds for lunch, about £8. The girls had a playdate this afternoon, as I was reaching the train station the grandma said she was going to run out to get my 2 and her granddaughter a McDonalds for tea, so, as I was right there, got it instead. £9. Wouldn't take any money from here, but I owed her £2 for some bows for a dancing costume, do I said to cancel them out.

I have promised to take DD1 and her sleepover friend yo Jump Giants on Saturday, plus, taking DD2 and a friend. That will cost £44.

Need to buy carbonara sauce for tomorrow

mammymammyIRL · 12/04/2018 22:33

Crazy busy day here, worked all day and them dd and I went to a pilates class which was good and then straight on to a theatre show!!

Have signed us both up for pilates £84 for 7 weeks, it's a lot but hopefully will be worth it...

I have £100 left to last until payday so need to reign it all in now.

ChristmasSeacow · 12/04/2018 23:16

Unescorted there’s nothing uncomfortable to say. He’s been a brilliant dad. Only the soppy stuff that we don’t normally say as we’re more of an ‘affectionate insults’ Kind of family.

Wreck why would anyone throw readable books in a skip? Angry Hteat find god you though

Mammy is the purchase of a cottage dependent on you selling your joint family home and coming to a settlement with DH? Good luck, that sounds like hard work ahead. But how lovely to be free and in your own place at the end of it.

Great weight loss Scarlet

AdoraBell · 12/04/2018 23:46

Thanks for shiny new thread mammy fab title 😁👍

Spent £4 on cakes for DDs. They are revising for GSCEs and getting stressed. I’m going to do some baking tomorrow.

mammymammyIRL · 13/04/2018 02:44

Thanks adora I'm not happy with title but it was best I could come up with Confused

Seacow it would be yes as I couldn't afford to be paying two mortgages and sets of bills. I'm only looking yet because have to see what outcome is of mediation but I think selling is best solution for me, dread the thought of packing up to move though Shock the cottage would need an extension to house me, dc and au pair but I've researched and found a log cabin which are built quickly & meets the requirements not to need planning permission and would extend property to a great little house cheaply. Outing to a few people I've discussed this with but they know everything about me anyhow Wink

Wolfcub · 13/04/2018 06:24

Mammy I love the sound of a log cabin extension

Wolfcub · 13/04/2018 07:40

Gas and electric bill following yesterday’s readings and eye watering 523 for slightly more than a quarter of the year. That puts me in debit but should be able to claw that back in the summer. Unfortunately because of the bad weather the house is freezing and because I work at home I do have the heating on during the day once I start shivering and the hot water bottle isn’t enough

mammymammyIRL · 13/04/2018 08:07

Wolf me too Smile

I'm officially an auntie as of this morning!! Grin

WreckTangled · 13/04/2018 08:15

Seacow I know! You would at least give them to a charity shop or even school, especially books like that.

My plans today have been thwarted. Was meant to go to the farm park with a friend but her car is broken so said I would go there instead. Only problem is she wants to go out for lunch as they have no food (holiday next weekend) but I have no money! I don't even have anything I can take with me I don't think. Also I've been awake most of the night with a headache and temperature.

WreckTangled · 13/04/2018 08:16

Woo hoo auntie mammy!
