Seacow I have dh however thinks if he's the model husband now I will change my mind & it'll blow over. We've been cycling through this kind of thing for maybe 11 years now, together over 12. I'm DONE.
Staying for the children's sake would mean another 14 years of my life spent like this. My 35th Birthday & his outburst two days before it were an epiphany for me. I feel so much freer already because I don't have to pussyfoot around him anymore, it'll get worse for a while with the dc and sorting out our living arrangements but it'll get better too.

I've renewed my love of cross stitch, bought a kit for my new niece/nephew when they arrive & loving seeing it take shape. Dc want to learn too so I've told them at Easter, baker Ross have kits but I'm going to check what else is out there.

Child Benefit in today, have distributed it in ynab.
Dh still hasn't done his transfer to joint account, he gets paid on Fridays Angry(hope this is not a sign of the future, waiting for money for him)
I get paid thurs and transfer before I get out of bed Smile

Just justified my jacket to myself too, when I'm back to full pay, thurs week. My plan is to pay €110 weekly off credit card debt. Buying jacket just puts the final payment back by one week Smile

lifelongfrugaleer · 06/03/2018 06:46

You can totally do this mammy. We've got your back on here if your want.

Nsd today. I will not spend money...

mammymammyIRL · 06/03/2018 07:18

Thanks lifelong Here and the other thread I made on relationships are the only places I'm talking about this at the moment and my friend at work knows.
What's that line from? - I can so totally do this

WreckTangled · 06/03/2018 07:49

Well done mammy I'm pleased for you that you're making this step.

Nsd yesterday.

WreckCat left a half eaten snail 🐌 in the sitting room this morning Hmm

lifelongfrugaleer · 06/03/2018 07:49

Not sure but it's true story.
I also am back measuring. I need to "level the fuck up" and do it properly. My breakfast granola is taking loads of calories but I love it and it keeps me full. May play about with making my own. It's the Aldi super nutty one

absolutely with life mammy we got you. Xx

quite haha yes! Cat voice!! Ours is “biskies?!” With a head tilt. I also make her sit in front of her bowl before I pop them in. “Sit down like a good girl” then once she’s sat for a bit without trying to get the biskies “beautiful sitting” dh thinks I’m bonkers. But she’s my girl. when you think that sept 2016 she was a bitey scratchy hissy terrified feral thing she’s come so far.

I’m not entirely sure how she’s going to cope moving to dparents. But we’re all going together so hopefully she’ll be ok. There’s no real quiet space she can stay to acclimatise really. Unless we put her and her litter in the spare bedroom. But Dm doesn’t want litter upstairs. Which is understandable.

Going to sort storage today. So £290... (£145 deposit and £145 for the month). Dh bought a car seat yesterday £250 (joie 360 one from Mothercare. He says it comes with the isofix. On the website it doesn’t mention it coming with...but he ordered it from the store so assumingly they ordered it too...).

life
Granola definitely eats up the calories but if it fills you it's serving a purpose too. I just use a tablespoon of protein granola with my yogurt and berries as a snack and have started mixing in some of the protein powders I got from aldi too. A bowl of granola was costing me too many calories but I didn't find it hugely filling either. All bran golden crunch is brilliant for fibre and as a granola alternative.

I need to improve my steps massively!

I will do once I feel a bit more energy returning, for now I'll just concentrate on getting the food right.

Ye would have laughed at me last night - I'd 130 calories left and needed to get protein in, so I defrosted 100g turkey breast meat, frugally sliced up and frozen on Sunday as it would have gone off otherwise remembering which thread this is, and ate it as a snack Grin

This weekend is mothers day, I haven't been home(my parents) since beg of Jan due to feeling so poorly. I think I might go this weekend, and that way I'll avoid the fakeness of mothers day in my own home also.

mammymammyIRL · 06/03/2018 08:23

I talk to my ddogs too, not so much my cats. like need I'm a dog person but do love our cat. First cat ever for me to like never mind love.

WreckTangled · 06/03/2018 09:09

Same mammy re being a dog person. Our cat is similar to a dog. He's alright minus the dead things he brings in Grin

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 06/03/2018 09:13

I'm working next wend, think we might try and go out for tea somewhere! In fact that reminds me of need to get mum a card, was going to get her a spa voucher for a gift.

mammy I'm proud of you, stay strong. Will he leave so you and the kids can stay in the house?

Got a few days off now, going to Bristol tomos to see Hairspray with dd, still not decided if I should tell the school the truth or pull a sickie?!

SnugglySnerd · 06/03/2018 09:46

Struggling to keep up again. Will try and catch up today!

mammymammyIRL · 06/03/2018 09:49

Dreading telling the dc, dd was on verge of tears last night because there will be interruptions to electrical supply from 9-5 a couple of days per week, one of which she's out of the house the entire time and the other she'll only be home for 1.5 hours approx of this, because it could be dark, which it won't at that time!!

wreck your cat definitely is! Our animals aren't indoors at all, but dcat had a vole the other day and I went to take a photo when I came back he obviously that I was going to stop him playing with it so it was no longer photogenic TMI

girlie I don't know what will happen.

We have a mortgage on our home, he owns house next door mortgage free(inherited) which also has a granny flat. This house is occupied currently. I'm not yet at the stage that our needs triumph the current occupants but ultimately it could come down to that. Ideal scenario would be him in one house, me in the other. Least amount of disruption to dc's lives.

If it came down to it, I believe I would be able to takeover the mortgage on my own, it is a tracker though doubt that would apply.

Cagliostro · 06/03/2018 11:24

Glad you’re making plans mammy Thanks

This morning I taught another pupil, I haven’t at all since the first one two weeks ago, but it was different this time as DH wasn’t here (sports club has started). But the Caglets watched the baby in her bouncy chair, I’d fed her just before, it was fine and I’m really glad I have the first one out of the way as I was really stressing about it. I’m glad this will be the minority of lessons though. Need to sort out other sessions now.

Cagletini keeps rolling from her front onto her back. She looks quite surprised about it 😂😍

QuiteCleanBandit · 06/03/2018 12:31

em
Mine are trained to sit Grin
Dcat 1 also high fives for Dreamies
Dcat 2 (feral) has been trained to sit on command "Good dog" 😂😂😂
I have no idea why people and rescues always say ferals dont make good pets.
With time, effort and consistency they are the best.
Dcat 1 taught Dcat 2 lots of things ,it was funny seeing them.
Dcat would watch intently and then copy.
I adore cats ,love them.
Dogs are ok Wink

LonelyOversharer · 06/03/2018 12:38

Well done cag on getting the lesson out of the way.

I went out, spent £59 in argos, ps4 controller and game for dd3, birthday at the weekend. They were both on offer, and cheaper than amazon, it's not often you can say that! £9 in the range, craft stuff, £8 lidl, bread, milk, bakery (was starving!), and £15 in Hobbycraft, mount board (to use as a backing for photos), ribbon and a wooden unicorn thing for dd3.

I could not bring myself to pay £18 for an 'easter tree' to display the thingies I've made for etsy. So, secatures at the ready, and I'm looking at my overgrown apricot tree (had the thing 14 years, aoricot tally: 2).

I'm bubbling over with craft ideas just now. If only I could make enough to justify the time spent! I'm erring towards mixed media art pieces, rather than knitted toys. So a mix of knitting/felting/embroidery/beading on figures to be ornaments. Also I need to photo my things for pintrest, and would using instagram be any good? I thought it was just for undies shots and pouty faces, but dd1 assures me not!

Ex has put some money through. Still £200 down on last year, and a week later than ever. I refuse to engage with him any more. But from really naughty facebook snooping, he has relocated again (so a promotion, and even further away from uk). Only 3 yrs until dd1 is 18, and 8 more in total of this

mammymammyIRL · 06/03/2018 14:11

Dc want to learn how to cross stitch after seeing me do it. I had looked up bakerross and found some simple card kits 5 little things for dc to make €4.80 which is fine but €5 delivery charge!!

I've lots of aida fabric and embroidery thread and books of patterns so I'm going to make my own kits for them just like mammy's. Can punch the card at work with hole punch to make them authentic. #frugaleersrule Grin

lonely totally get you with the Easter tree thing, dd saw Easter decorations in Dunnes Stores and wanted to get them, I must have seemed like the biggest killjoy ever when I said no Shock
Instagram is great for foodies so I'm sure could be good for crafting too. How's your etsy shop doing now?

Did you apply for those local jobs? Is your dp pulling his weight again?

thanks cag

Glad to hear your lesson went well.

mammymammyIRL · 06/03/2018 14:13

My grocery shop from yesterday has just been charged to our account. It was approx €170 but there were lots of out of stocks so it came to €148.20 which is right on budget. Lots of things that were out of stock weren't essential either. I will pick up the few bits that were in local centra shop.

Cagliostro · 06/03/2018 14:51

Yummy chicken and veggie stir fry for lunch. Trying to make proper food for myself when I can - Caglets usually make themselves a toastie but I’m not that keen so often end up eating rubbish. Still massively craving carbs today though.

Tap later and reeeeally CBA and haven’t got round to prepping dinner, so will have to be something quick after the lesson. Ug.

And Cagletini is asleep, in starfish shape, on my lap. So might not sleep in the sling (buggy isn’t a good idea for this journey due to the time, the bus we need from town is always heaving)

lifelongfrugaleer · 06/03/2018 14:56

I'll go back to pm you mammy so we don't bore the test with our Rh talk. Not yet though as going on school pick up in a mo.

mammymammyIRL · 06/03/2018 15:22

lifelong I was thinking similarly when I was typing on this thread Smile

Fluffycloudland77 · 06/03/2018 16:17

£12.50 Wilkos, I bought a years supply of pedal bin liners, loo rolls, wet wipes, bleach, loo brush, roasting bags.
£6.70 aldi. 3 weeks supply of dhs milk, onions, carrots, onions, beans & eggs.
£1.60 lidl 3 weeks supply of pitta breads.

I should just need eggs and bread now every week and cat food for his royal furriness. I’m thinking of trying Dh on sandwich bread in the bread maker, it would surely be cheaper than white sliced and palm oil free.

I’m thinking of trying out wilko paint in the downstairs cloakroom. It gets really good reviews and it’s only £10. I’m not spending a lot on such a tiny room.

ememem84 · 06/03/2018 16:38

£247 storage locker. Woop. 70sqft of empty space. Soon to be filled with our stuff.

£24 (technically) in Mothercare night next size clothes for ds. Half price sale. Dh should have got 10% off the car seat but he didn’t. SO we went back and asked. They gave him the refund. Yay.

Also. Catfaces new scratch post arrived. Ita a bit bigger than I expected.
