Lonely no you don't need any formal training. Have a look on the nhs jobs website too.

Crumble was quite nice for my first ever attempt.

Dd made ds do a spelling test. So cute 😍

Lonely my friend has recently got a carer job for someone with v high needs (brain injury) but it is not all personal care.. she takes him out shopping and to the cinema and does other support stuff with him. She has to do nights sometimes but not every night and gets 21Kp.a . she has never done this work before . I could ask her what agency she went if you are interested . she is south , but the agency is uk wide

Laska5772 · 03/03/2018 18:16

Just about to have roast chicken and chrorizo harrissa roasted cauliflower peas rice for dinner .. I cant take a photo Dh would be Hmm

ememem84 · 03/03/2018 18:18

meadow you sound so excited by the food you’ve made. It sounds yum. I guess if you’re cooking baking and looking forward to eating you’re feeling better.

If I had my time again I wouldn't have a dog with 2 young DC. Maybe if dh didn't have such erratic shifts or random home times. The amount of times I had 2 young DC and it was cold/wet/ tea time but the dog needed walking..,.. That said we all miss him and would have another at the drop off a hat especially now they are older. Also he was a Collie/spaniel cross so needed walking.
It might be better with a less mental breed

LonelyOversharer · 03/03/2018 18:29

Hadn't thought of the nhs. My dad had a wee job at the hospital checking in the blood tests. He is super methodical. That was after he retired. I will definitely look. You are all so lovely, you know that Flowers I honestly don't know how I used to cope.

lifelongfrugaleer · 03/03/2018 18:35

Lonely, care assistant don't need any qualifications. Pleased you spoke to dh. Not unreasonable for 10 hours, that's not even 2 days.

£16 archery, excellent place and activity.

Stir fry and bits from the freezer for tea

Loveabaconsandwich · 03/03/2018 18:45

Glad DP responsed to the talking to and it has spurred him into action.

I think you would make a great carer lonely and they are in demand.

Fluffycloudland77 · 03/03/2018 18:55

Good for you lonely. Care homes will train you up, I’ve known other carers do that and leave for the nhs. Working in a home is better than doing mobile.

£2 owed to Dh.

I’m watching Cheshire housewives. Horrible women.

CremeEggThief · 03/03/2018 19:01

I'm glad you spoke to your DP too, Lonely. 10 hours is do-able and surely he'll feel better in himself too, once he's contributing more?

I've re-booked Sainsburys order for Tuesday evening (earliest day) and I walked to Aldi tgis afternoon, to stock up on a few things to keep us going. They had no bread and were even out of plain flourShock, but that was the only thing I couldn't get. £16.58 on my card. It was about the same walking around as it was on Thursday, as there's still so much soft snow, but it's meant to be icier tomorrow. To be honest, if we have a slow thaw, I think it's actually going to be harder for us pedestrians, getting out and about next week. Really not looking forward to it.Sad

Cagliostro · 03/03/2018 19:04

That sounds like a great option lonely but please don’t let it excuse DP from doing his work too.

All this cauliflower talk has got me craving some! The sweet stem one I tried from Coop was totally meh by the way.

It’s been a very long day. DS is very hard work today (impulsive/hyper) and Cagletini is in software upgrade mode... clingy and not sleeping and also starting to roll onto her side. Oh and she’s mastered the art of boob pinching too. Hmm

There may have been takeaway.

Wolfcub · 03/03/2018 19:08

Need the banana and blueberry loaf looks lovely. Yum

Wreck, I occasionally epilate my tache you could try that. The crumble looks delicious

Ds has been complaining that he hates sledging all week. This morning he was complaining he had no sledge so after going to every shop in a five mile radius I found one £10 the spent 2 hours stood in the field watching him sledge. Paying for it now with a big old pain flare but he seemed happy at the time

Also bought dh a warhammer mag and a new money tin. I bought bread flour, tissues and a lottery ticket

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 03/03/2018 19:50

lonely no experience needed, could look at community care work, agencies are always after more staff.

cag sounds like a hard day 🍫🍩🍦

We ventured out but dd was not in the right frame of mind for a walk and moaned non stop 😑 picked up milk and biscuits at aldi £1.64.

Have continued with sorting dds bedroom, have cleared another 2 big bags of stuff to chuck/charity shop, it feels strange as getting rid of stuff that dd is too old for now 😢 another little step towards growing up. Her bedroom looks brilliant though, very proud of it 😊 been a lot of work but it needed to be done. Now I know how to post pics I'll show you the wardrobe I up cycled, it came from the reuse shop and was pretty tatty before painting it.

That’s gorgeous girlie 😍

Moanranger · 03/03/2018 20:21

No filter I put all discretionary expenditure on a single CC then analyse it by category ( food, chemist & cosmetics, house, etc) at the end of the month. It is reducing. I take out very little cash. All recurring expenses are direct debit from bank account. I report daily expenditure here. On this system a couple of months, but some of the stories up thread are inspiring.
Today LSD ( except diesel, £53 but v low price so I filled the tank) Film on a voucher, £2.35 for coffee at cinema; £ 2.60 for paper & milk, 70p parking.

WreckTangled · 03/03/2018 20:23

Wow girlie good job!

LonelyOversharer · 03/03/2018 20:39

girlie the wardrobe looks amazing, very well done (without being patronising at all, I love fixing up stuff).

I have found a job doing care visits, in the very nearest village to me! It says no experience, I mean I've brought up 4 babies for 15 years, so I can do the 'care' bit right enough. They train up to nvq as you go. I am going to apply tomorrow. You never know. I think I'd rather help people than stock shelves. The other real option is an asda delivery driver. I could totally do that too, the job on the site is for 21hrs a week; maybe I should apply for that too.

WreckTangled · 03/03/2018 20:49

CremeEggThief · 03/03/2018 22:24

Gorgeous, Em.Smile

Great upcycling of that wardrobe, Girlie, and always good to see more cute cat pictures, Wreck.
