The tooth is a mixed bag but all in good. The gum is badly bruised as it his front baby tooth. The baby tooth is going to fall out sooner than it would. It looks a mess.
The good news is it looks like non of the adult teeth are affected. The only unknown is the one still in the gum.

Sorry sea, but if you are going to but it use a discount.

seacow and sunny interesting thoughts . I definately think staying in a place that is ok but maybe not perfect is often a good idea. We could have upsized but never did although when we finally did move our old area (just outside Brighton and quite industrial when we moved there ) had turned in to a place to be. (more so now -we couldnt move back!) But moved more to a nicer house in a cheaper area but did so at a time when kids had either gone or were not long going to . But will prob will be here long term now.. we have paid mortgage of on this one now by overpaying but not spending more than was neccessary on 'doing up'. We will be spending some now on upgrading the house when we finish work but will do most of tbe stuff ourselves.

Laska5772 · 27/09/2017 06:42

life I hope your poor DS isnt in too much pain now.
Sunny I had forgotten about Upwork. That could be good for me once I leave work. I have research and report writing background . Do you have you have any tips on getting work through them ?

WreckTangled · 27/09/2017 06:57

Life fingers crossed for the adult tooth. Remind me what happened?

Apparently dh and WreckCat spent ages last night trying to catch a mouse Shock it was in the sitting room on the curtain pole so dh threw a satsuma at it to get it down Hmm then it ran under the sofa and he was sliding books under to get it out. Each time it ran out WreckCat made some feeble swatting motion with his hand until I ran back again. Dh got it in the end no idea how it got in.

Should be a nsd.

Hope your first night went well em! Get as much skin to skin as you can, I miss that, ds just laughs at my boobies now HmmGrin

Elbow in the face wreck

WreckTangled · 27/09/2017 07:59

Your poor ds that must have really hurt

CollieBobs · 27/09/2017 08:03

Christmas did I read that wrong? you have to fight for an EHCP? Our council have been incredibly supportive with ours. Confused

Sorry if I completely misunderstood that though. Reading in a hurry! Flowers

It's definitely not controlling you have to trust your instincts.

SnugglySnerd · 27/09/2017 08:23

That sounds painful Life. Hope the tooth/gum heals quickly.

Hoping for NSD. Top up shop last night was 30 quid. Mainly cat food and nappies.

WreckTangled · 27/09/2017 08:30

I just fell over at the bus stop 😭 it's all gravel and a twisted my ankle on a stone. Luckily there was only one person there but was still embarrassing and I've grazed my knee

Cagliostro · 27/09/2017 08:35

Apparently seacow the reregistering is actually a legal requirement Blush we were told when we went to register DS' birth (9.5 months after the wedding :o) and given the forms and never did anything about it. Blush

Not controlling AT ALL by the way. You have a DS with special needs who can't communicate easily, of course he needs extra protection! The Caglets are able to talk more etc but I actually only recently found out some more stuff about an old childminder that I'm not happy about - nothing terrible but certainly enough to make me extra glad they don't go there anymore. I am guessing a nanny or au pair would be better than a CM or after school club? At least then there wouldn't be the unpredictability of other children. But it still needs to be someone who will be patient and understanding of ASD. I think childcare is one of those additional challenges that gets forgotten about when people think of the extra difficulties in raising a child with SN. :( But if you can find someone good then they will be worth their weight in gold.

Spendy today as out for dinner with friends, only Nando's though so not too bad. I will have a very few chips for the first time since reducing carbs YAY! Mmmmmm perinaise.

Cagliostro · 27/09/2017 08:38

Oh no wreck hope you are ok. Both physically and in terms of injured pride! Thanks

Poor DS life really hope healing happens quickly.

I should get up and do stuff but I'm sneezing and coughing. Hmm

Laska5772 · 27/09/2017 09:17

Oh no Wreck i hope your ankle isnt too badly sprained
..its just the sort if thing I do !!

CollieBobs · 27/09/2017 09:36

Quidco have finally coughed up. £160! And that's the last time I'll ever use them. TCB from now on.

Ouch wreck that sounds painful.

It's stormy here so really glad I caught up with most of the washing whilst it was sunny.

DS's nursery confirmed that if I worked 20ish hours a week then the 30 hours funding would cover it all. So I feel more confident about applying for work now.

Laska5772 · 27/09/2017 09:49

collie i dont find quidco that bad for payment. What was it for? Im not on TCB.. but i should be .. ill go sign up

WreckTangled · 27/09/2017 10:08

I prefer TCB too although they haven't annoyed me by not paying the £80 from life insurance Angry

CollieBobs · 27/09/2017 10:28

laska I find that QuidCo randomly declines cashback even though they've tracked the purchase. They do it so much. Not only that - I had those QuidCo reward coin things last year. I earnt £10 (or £20. I cant remember now) and they decided not to pay me. When I enquired I had no response. I never used to have a problem with them but I do find they're getting reluctant to pay out.

The £160 was for opening an account which I kept open. (As I actually wanted the account for saving). It was a long time ago though and I had to email them a lot. They originally estimated the cashback would be paid back in May. Ha!

ememem84 · 27/09/2017 10:32

wreck ouch! Hope you're ok x
cag registering baby was drummed into me yesterday. 21 days to do it.

Dh facetimed mil last night. She's decided on her "grandma" name. I checked three times with dh that he'd heard her correctly. And then explained my concerns. Turns out, the word she wants to be known by is a jersey french word. And a super derogatory term. Loosely meaning "Crusty whore fanny".

Dh knew this though. And thinks it's hilarious. I don't usually go with what mil says. But on this occasion will let her have her way evil

LonelyOversharer · 27/09/2017 10:52

em too funny! She's a bit deranged isn't she.

wreck your poor ankle and knee! and pride I'm forever tripping on things.

seacow what the others said about childcare and your ds, of course you're right, you are his voice and you must get the best for him. I suspect the only people who truly understand and could provide decent childcare for your ds are busy looking after their own SN children. It's a tough one. I'm going to crochet, as it grows faster, and I have eleventy billion unfinished knitting projects. Just so happens I just finished my crochet innocently whistles and pm's em

So far this morning I've wired together the sofa springs, covered them with fabric, and wrestled a huge piece of wadding into a neat roll. It's only taken me a week to remember to bring the staple gun to the shop. I have to go to asda (out of both cat and dog food, again), but will meal plan first.

Laska5772 · 27/09/2017 11:04

Em Ha ha ! we Need the word!!! Im known as Jannie as when Dgs was born his mothers family step grandmas etc grabbed all the grandma names.. it was complicated as she had left DS before dgs born .. but im just pleased that i had a chance to see him and be his gran

Laska5772 · 27/09/2017 11:05

Posted too soon.. How are you getting on Em?

ememem84 · 27/09/2017 11:28

It's pronounced "momon" no idea how it's spelled. It's not one I'd usually write down. Dh wonders whether she's just mispronouncing "maman"...

We're getting on great. First night at home was ok. Ds slept from 11-230 then from 345 to 6. Then from 7 to around 10 when the health visitor/community midwives came round and weighed him. He's dropped in weight a bit but that's normal. They think he may be a smidge jaundiced but nothing to worry about. His basket is near our biggest window (not too close) so he gets light and fresh air. They said it's perfect place there so yay! I've had 6 hours sleep of so last night. Feel achy and sore but not unexpected. Dh is still amazed at how well everything's been going. It was nice last night that he was there too. And has been saying how proud he is of me for just doing what I'm doing.

Laska5772 · 27/09/2017 11:56
Smile
needastrongone · 27/09/2017 12:00

Checking in. Will catch up later.

Looks like you are doing brill em, bloody go you Smile

Oh Saint Andrews is just stunning. DS is enthralled with it.

Cagliostro · 27/09/2017 12:16

Em that's so funny 😂 Sounds a great nickname for her 😳 Really pleased everything is going well.

21 days doesn't seem long I think we have double that here! Obviously DD is registered but yes apparently if you are unmarried when baby is born, you must then reregister the birth after getting married so they are no longer illegitimate (man that's a hard word to spell!) which is a bit weird as it doesn't change the fact we weren't married at her birth Hmm hey ho.

Been powering through the book decluttering here. Quite shocking to think how many books I have bought completely pointlessly. Thankfully mostly from charity shops but still. It is another reminder of the need for frugality! I always go a bit nuts over books at Christmas but have only ordered one so far from an Usborne rep friend - they do a lovely series called Illustrated Originals, we've had Heidi last year and I am getting a new release, around the world in 80 days, for a tenner. Obviously baby will need a few board books as we didn't keep any of the Caglets'.

Cagliostro · 27/09/2017 12:25

Also this might sound a bit weird. But I keep thinking I could make a few quid from trying to sell the books we aren't keeping (over a hundred so far). I know among home ed friends people would want some. But I know that I would procrastinate over it, and if I don't see people for a while then the bags will just pile up and with time being so short now I really don't think it's worth it. No point keeping them because sunk cost fallacy, the money I spent on them is already gone.

But also I am, embarrassingly, thinking of the loss of potential cash as a bit of a punishment. I mean, I seriously need to learn from this don't I? I have got a lot better over the last year or so TBF, I no longer grab stuff from charity shops really. But I should have not bought all this stuff, and then I should have dealt with it ages ago so I would have had time to actually sell stuff. But I don't because I procrastinated bigtime. So, it's my own fault. Does that make sense Blush
