I tried profit accumulator & oddsmonkey but pa is better imo. The most important thing is that you double check everything until you get the hang of it.

It's hard to understand at first because it's not like anything else you do in life.

£6 beer & eggs.

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/09/2017 20:25

What do you mumsnet on Collie

WreckTangled · 16/09/2017 20:27

Thanks fluffy. I haven't even got £5 atm so will have to wait but I'm going to try it. I would be silly not to.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 16/09/2017 20:29

Actually collie although not as harsh on the stomach I don't think it's recommended for people with a history of upper GI bleeds

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/09/2017 20:36

One of my tutors had SAD, they put him on a/d every winter because he was suicidal.

lifelongfrugaleer · 16/09/2017 20:48

Not as spendy a day as I thought as I wasn't that impressed with offerings.
£28 Lakeland, £20 lunch, £15 tkmaxx, , £13 train, £14 debenhams, dh went to decathlon so God knows.

I take vitamin d all autumn. Which reminds me I need some.

Whose dh was doing away. The key is organisation and lower standards. What do you have to do those 2 days, what can you get ahead on like food and clothes and what can wait until dh is back. I quite often have my 2 by myself and the first time is daunting but you will be fine.

Pleased you are ok em. Rest up.

CollieBobs · 16/09/2017 20:51

fluffy I use my android tablet for mumsnetting

Scoffing popcorn & watching a film. And had a hot toddy

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/09/2017 20:55

You'll be fine then collie.

LonelyOversharer · 16/09/2017 21:23

I use my andriod tablet to match bet. Open the internet and have 3 tabs open and logged in at the same time: betfair exchange (where you lay bet) bookie (qualifying/free bets) and oddsmonkey oddsmatcher (which tells you where to bet). The game is to move your money from the bookie to the exchange. So place a bet in the bookie, lay the same bet at the exchange (oddsmatcher tells you how much at what odds). Hopefully you lose the bet (I always bet on horses, it's quick and over and sorted), so lose at the bookies, but "win" at the exchange, as you have bet on the horse to both win and lose. If it is a free bet, it turns into real money at the exchange. I followed the free tutorials on oddsmonkey until I got it.

The casino offers are the ones I like, theres an element of chance, but so much fun when you win.

Naproxen is what did for dp's gallbladder. I haven't come across anyone who could take the stuff and not get ill. Good for pain though! He takes tramadol now, for severe nerve pain.

Am mid bake. Cookie press next!

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/09/2017 21:55

Try Smarkets, 3% less commission & if you place a losing lay bet you get £10 free.

ChristmasSeacow · 16/09/2017 22:23

I just googled cookie press to make sure it was what I thought it was. It was Grin I've never made cookies with that sort of runny dough. Do you already have a trusted recipe Lonely or are you trying it for the first time?

I am trying to work out how big I am making DS's birthday cake next week. He wants the planets. I want to do two tiers for height but fear if I do 10 inch and 6 inch it will be a monstrous lotta cake. But 8 inch and 4.5inch seems a bit small.

(I always cook too much of everything).

I messed up the Ocado order and it timed out before I could add actual useful food to tomorrow's books slot. So I am getting nappies, kitchen towel etc but no milk or useful food Hmm

LonelyOversharer · 17/09/2017 01:02

seacow the cookie press is epic. How have I not owned one until now?? I just stuck cookie press (they're call spritz in the us apparently) biscuits into pintrest. Made danish butter cookies, and them some custard powder cookies, these are definitely the best, and so so easy to pump out about 100!

Just waiting on the last batch to finish cooking before bed. All done bar the sarnies which I'll do tomorrow, can't bear overnight sandwiches!

And yes to the bigger cake, you can always take a tier into school, ours lets us as long as there are no nuts. Or freeze, just peel off any fondant as this goes slimy, buttercream not so much.

LonelyOversharer · 17/09/2017 01:03
  • the dough was super soft but not runny. You couldn't roll it out, but it squished beautifully.
mammymammyIRL · 17/09/2017 06:12

Not caught up as I was out racing yesterday I did regular betting not matched Grin €5 on highland fling as we got married in Scotland gained me €13.50 placed two more €5 losing bets so was up by €3.50 & met a girl who owed me €20 too Grin

As I'm doing half marathon today I wasn't drinking yesterday so spends were significantly less, must count my change to find out total

Wheelycote · 17/09/2017 06:34

Morning🙂 cuppas anyone☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️

SunnyLikeThursday · 17/09/2017 06:36

Collie I know someone who got NSAID suppositories so that they wouldn't affect her stomach, but then the condition got cured anyway by a dietician or nutritionist person who told her what foods were causing it. She stopped eating those foods and the problem just vanished away. I hope you find the solution, whatever it turns out to be for you.

mammymammyIRL · 17/09/2017 06:46

23.25 there so spent €40.25 I'm ok with that, had a great day & bought my friend a few drinks & dh too

Still frugaleering into Autumn.....
WreckTangled · 17/09/2017 06:48

Go mammy! 🥇

No spinning today my friend isn't going and I can't afford it anyway. Going to see mil later and she's treating us to ice cream.

Didn't sleep well dd woke up at 2 and I couldn't get back to sleep ☕️

lifelongfrugaleer · 17/09/2017 07:41

Good luck mammy with your half.
Thanks for the brew Wheely. Keep them coming.

WreckTangled · 17/09/2017 07:47

Fluffy I don't seem to have the same picture as the video PA has on betfair. I can't work it out at all what I'm meant to be doing 😭 feel like I've just wasted money

Fluffycloudland77 · 17/09/2017 07:54

Ok, don't panic. There's two betfairs, one for normal bets & a Betfair exchange for lay betting.

It's hard at first. Most women aren't bought up to be au fait with bookies!.

If you have lost a few quid it's a lesson learned & you'll make it back.

Keep going, it's worth it.

needastrongone · 17/09/2017 07:55

Good luck mammy, smash it!!

thewaitresses · 17/09/2017 07:56

A cuppa for me too wheely! Feeling a bit smug as it's my turn to get up with kids and the babies are still chattering away to each other in their cots (yesterday dh was up giving them breakfast at 5.30!)

Frugal wins this weekend - family day out yesterday properly planned so we stopped for coffee and cake (£10) rather than the usual restaurant lunch (c.£40), had our first wood burner of the season last night and managed to fashion a fire guard out of an old playpen rather than having to buy one, broke into our piggy bank and paid in all old £1 coins to the bank so some £££ towards next year's holiday.

Good luck for your run today mammy!

WreckTangled · 17/09/2017 07:57

Oh ok. I'll see what happens looks like I was on the wrong betfair?!
