People aren't meant to be cooped up like that, no animal is.

www.savethestudent.org/student-deals/free-stuff/free-5-when-you-use-circle.html. £5 free.

Dh has an iPhone 8 coming & if I replace the screen on his iPhone SE I can have it. I need to do some mb to get the money together.

Swapped jammies for joggers. Male equivalent of leggings.

Taytocrisps · 25/09/2017 18:49

em I love his perfect little nails and eyelashes. Amazing to think he grew so perfectly inside you. Babies really are a miracle although I didn't really appreciate them until i had one of my own.

DH got his car service done and four new tyres and it came to approx. €1200. We'd budgeted for it though.

Freezer is now defrosted. I just need to empty out the fridge so it's ready to go. Hope the delivery man calls early. I hate waiting around all day.

Dinner was an omelette for me and DH using leftover ham. Also leftover potato dauphinoise. DD isn't an egg person so she had pasta carbonara using aforementioned leftover ham.

LonelyOversharer · 25/09/2017 18:49

Thought I was doing really well spending just £2.30 on choc and sweets after school, then got home to find no milk! Typical. So I went to get some, topped up in sainsburys £14.

Had full roast chicken (that we didn't have yesterday) for tea, was very nice.

How much for the screen fix fluffy ? I've slowed right down on mb, it's good to know it's there when you need it though.

lifelongfrugaleer · 25/09/2017 19:14

Spent £6.50 on Whitby abbey Halloween thing. We went last year and it was good.
£24 on seeing the big man in the red suit at a national trust place.
Nsd other than that.
Ds is home early from cubs with a fat lip.

FuzzyCustard · 25/09/2017 19:22

I've cheated...tomorrow we've got people coming for dinner for Dh's birthday, and I have bought the chicken en croute and the sticky toffee pudding and even some pre-chopped carrots. SHOCKING BEHAVIOUR!! (Thank you Lidl. I am sure they'd rather eat your cooking than mine)

thewaitresses · 25/09/2017 19:51

Ok we're into the home-stretch of the month and I feel like we're doing ok. Spending on 'everything else' is set to come in lower than the previous 3 months (since I started writing everything down) and I've set enough aside in our penny account to pay for a meal out on Sunday so October won't be starting with a big guilty chunk taken out of it! We've been eating a lot of eggs and soup - a bit boring but I have lost a couple of lbs too so feeling good!

CollieBobs · 25/09/2017 19:56

Got loads of washing line dried today including blankets, all the towels used to mop up the flood yesterday, coats and blankets! Been busy! Blush lame

DH will do some more MB tonight.

Feel so on the edge tonight. No idea why! So I'm going to have a cup of tea and binge watch some shit TV. My brain feels all Fuzzy like white noise.

WreckTangled · 25/09/2017 20:01

Rubbish collie I used to get like that. On pills for it now Grin I've got to wait until Wednesday evening until my qualifying bet comes in. I did Ladbrokes.

Fluffycloudland77 · 25/09/2017 20:04

Lonely

I don't know, it won't be much. It's not going back to Apple for its repair.

Cagliostro · 25/09/2017 20:28

Much sympathy collie those weird feelings are so unnerving! Distracting crap telly is a great plan. Maybe the whole drill fiasco has had a delayed "aaaaaargh" effect and it's just catching up now after getting through the practical stuff with it yesterday. I often get like that, sort of a delayed processing thing.

Seriously need a bath and bed. Achieved quite a lot today with decluttering and have a plan for some gentle stuff I can do tomorrow since I don't need to go out apart from midwife. Must order Tesco tonight though.

Mammy don't worry about the weight. You are getting there and you are not heavier than you were then, so that's good! I agree with need that you have a good plan in place. You got this!

lifelongfrugaleer · 25/09/2017 20:33

Collie it's not lame but probably is delayed shock.
Mammy you are doing so well on the weight loss.

I'm having tea and toast in honour of em as it was the best tea and toast ever.

needastrongone · 25/09/2017 20:42

Good going there waitress, excellent planning.

Oh collie, I think things will start to feel better when you are working and have a routine. Bless you.

Been on a roll this evening after work, soup done, meals for DD/DH sorted, 3 loads of washing, 4 mile slow run, soup lovely, bit of self care, chickens sorted, floors cleaned.

Small glass of decent red in my hand. Coolio Smile

How's it going sunny?

WreckTangled · 25/09/2017 20:46

I'm feeling fairly on top of the housework too need. All dry washing folded and most put away, some still drying on the airer. Downstairs all hoovered and the kitchen clean. Might wash all the towels tomorrow morning.

Both dc' are going to a friends after school tomorrow not sure what I'll do with myself! Have a nap?? Might go through my present cupboard...

lifelongfrugaleer · 25/09/2017 20:49

Are you staying over at at Andrews need? Maybe a cheeky run in the Scottish countryside?

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 25/09/2017 20:57

How are we on page 30 already?? Shock Didn't I just start this thread? Grin

I get like that sometimes Collie like a delated stress response I suppose, try and get an early night if you can.

I don't feel like I have achieved that much today, although have sorted some washing and run the hoover round could have done a lot more if I have been more motivated! Did get out in the garden for a while and enjoyed the sun, it looks so lovely

Did I tell you lot that when I popped over to see a friend for coffee this morning girlcat followed me?! Shock Didn't realise until I was nearly there, she came into my friends house (luckily she was fine with it!) waited while we chatted and drank tea and then followed me home again Grin I am now officially a crazy cat lady!!

Not heard any more from the lady with the shih tzu which is annoying, have messaged her but am guessing running a rescue is quite time consuming.

NSD, although have given dd some money to take to school tomos £5.

WreckTangled · 25/09/2017 20:58

Girlie that's amazing!!

needastrongone · 25/09/2017 21:03

We are staying over life, I adore Scotland, I genuinely think I could live there. Taking running trainers and kit just in case.

God the planning to sort the dogs, DD, work and chickens ha! Will all be fine.

girlie was this dog used for breeding? Has she had socialisation with other dogs and how is she with people? She may have issues, just ask ALL the questions. Xx

needastrongone · 25/09/2017 21:06

This is my terrorising beast (one of them), taking more room on the sofa than me Smile

lifelongfrugaleer · 25/09/2017 21:06

It will be fine need. They will cope.

Crazy cat and crazy cat lady. Grin

Probably going to be an emergency dental trip tomorrow. Ds is complaining his baby tooth hurts where he was bumped. He's asleep now dosed with ibuprofen for the swelling

needastrongone · 25/09/2017 21:08

Oh hope he's okay life. Hate it when the DC don't feel well, even when they are older like mine.

Grin at your cat girlie.

CollieBobs · 25/09/2017 21:28

I think your all right! And I never even thought about it. Definitely early night tonight after Suits.

I did a good deed today. I phoned my Grandma's best friend to see how she was. Haven't spoken to her since my Grandma's funeral which was a few years ago now. She has no family & I've known her all my life. Going to make sure I catch up with her once a month from now on. She's 89! Brew Smile

girlie omg that's amazing! CollieCat follows me to the park but no further. But she'll meow loudly the whole way. So embarrassing!

I took 4 bags (handbags & weekend bags) to the charity shop at the weekend and got upset about getting rid of them. DH called me a crazy bag lady!

mammymammyIRL · 25/09/2017 21:45

Collie that's a sweet thing to do.

We're going to fill this thread really soon, get yer thinking caps on for the next one

Thanks cag & life regarding weight loss.

Frugal fail this week as due to not feeling well I'm going to miss bootcamp again tomorrow. I prepaid for 3 weeks.

I've been out & spent €10 on dinner - my cousin paid the extra €1.50 as I didn't have the change. Saw a nighttime parade too.
Also today I agreed to spending €39 extra each on our 2 night break away to lengthen time spent in Birmingham to 3 full days instead of just 1 full day and 2 nights sleep.

Tayto Shock at cost of service & four tyres. There was a time when I could replace all four tyres at once on my grand vitara pre dc of course. Now my tyres are cheaper & I couldn't do them all in one go Grin

Fluffy I love my iPhone SE

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 25/09/2017 21:54

Grin cats are so funny, normally girl cat isn't too bothered with me (adores dd instead!) but maybe she does like me a bit after all Wink

Yes I will do Need not going to rush into anything, will take her for a long wend prior to agreeing anything to check if she will be the dog for us. The lady that runs this rescue seems lovely and very knowledgable and said in 15 years she has only ever had one dog returned to her and that was a placement she had a few reservations about. We will see....

I just found out that I absolutely have to go on a first aid course to be in Beavers, which is unfortunate since first aid courses give me the epic heebie geebies. I've getting personally escorted by the Scout master so I don't chicken out. I've booked the first date of three possibles so I can do two hours in each and still complete the course. This puts paid to my previous plan of lurking at the back when people get injured. #rats

Dh has now arrived in the US and we are still alive. I have been bribing ds with books and now a meccano set from dm, so that he doesn't require me to do proper imaginative play, which is entirely beyond me. His favourites are "batman in real life" and "minecraft in real life", but somehow "emptying the dishwasher in real life" and "cooking the dinner in real life" do not appeal to him. I think this is why children need siblings, but I never made it to dc2. #alsoRats

Sleep now I think.
