Thanks for the cuppa wheelySmile

HollyTheHarrier · 17/09/2017 08:03

Good luck mammy! Hope you have a great race. Take it steady at the start and you'll be great 😊

need I didn't know that about not running for more than 3 hours. Why is that? Is it true regardless of pace? My race pace will hopefully be roughly three hours for 21 miles but I won't do that in training. Thanks for the info 😊

Fluffycloudland77 · 17/09/2017 08:09

Possibly. I've done it it in the past.

When you've done Betfair try smarkets, much lower commission.

SnugglySnerd · 17/09/2017 08:10

Good luck Mammy!

Plans for today are more soup making and sorting out bulbs for the garden. I'm sure we have some lurking in the shed that were left over last year. Will get DD planting them.

Em I'm getting very broody reading about your pregnancy. I would love to have a tiny little newborn baby that wouldn't keep flinging its lunch on the floor to cuddle! Enjoy every minute!

WreckTangled · 17/09/2017 08:14

I think it was the right one as I went through the PA link. Still couldn't find the lay bet bit on it though. I'm so confused 😂 will have to wait and see what happens I suppose!

Fluffycloudland77 · 17/09/2017 08:34

The pink box is lay, blue is back.

WreckTangled · 17/09/2017 08:38

There weren't any boxes on the betfair website!

Fluffycloudland77 · 17/09/2017 08:42

Screen shot?

WreckTangled · 17/09/2017 08:45

Oh I found it!

ChristmasSeacow · 17/09/2017 08:48

Go go Mammy

sorry Lonely I was being dim, it can't be runny or they wouldn't hold their shape! Custard ones sound yum, care to share the recipe? I might see what Santa brings me if I can hold out that long

It's our local 'village' arts festival today so probably won't be an nsd as I expect we will mooch along and get some street food. After the football, apparently Hmm.

My aim today is to put some stuff back in our garage now it has dried out a bit, so I can move again in the house. And some bits in the loft. And sort out all the clothes in the spare room (outgrown baby /maternity/ clean laundry). We have family coming next weekend for DS's birthday and I don't want the house to be in this state! Bad enough that MIL will judge the state of the garden...

Ooh, must plant some bulbs. How do I stop the blardy squirrels from digging them up?

ChristmasSeacow · 17/09/2017 08:49

Waitresses I love it when the kids are on my side re. Waking up time!

ememem84 · 17/09/2017 09:09

morning y'all. I've just woken up (again). Was up a record 3 times to pee last night. Woooohoooo and my uncomfortableness has developed into a bit of a cold. What better excuse to stay in bed and drink tea?!

I am the picture of glamour this morning. Have out my bathrobe on over my pjs, snuggled back in bed. Have a ton of moisturiser on my face and one of those easy breathe snore strips over my nose. #glam.

I also have a bucket of tea and about 12 million litres of squash.

Today's jobs will include meal planning for the week, shopping list, and putting a basket of washing away. Anything else will be considered a bonus.

snuggly you could always go crazy and have another one....!! Haha

100yearsdotcom · 17/09/2017 09:21

Just placemarking on the new thread - thank you! - as I try to catch up! I was away for a short holiday and had no signal and by the time I got back you'd filled up the last thread! Chatty lovely people!

Thankfully wasn't spendy whilst away but had a £££ shop that actually covered 2.5 weeks so not too bad. Then had a small spend on DD related stuff plus 2 birthday presents. Will be starting to try to get on top of budget again soon as am getting stressed about savings starting to whittle away - this is planned but I need to make sure it goes to plan again and doesn't disappear too quickly!

em sounds like you're very close! Exciting! Hope it all goes the best it possibly can do!

cag v sorry about the GD - I got diagnosed in my last month and ut was a nightmare! Two tips - wash your hands under hot water and rub the sides of your finger really hard before pricking. I found this to be the absolute best way if getting enough blood and got it best from my middle and ring fingers. If you are having any kind of carb, pair it with a protein or fat as that will offset it - boiled eggs with buttered brown toast was my breakfasts, granny smith apples with nut butter for Snacks, that kind of thing.

Welcome to newbies! Where are copper and meadow?

Cagliostro · 17/09/2017 09:26

Spends already £12.50 for voyager ticket as we are going further afield to get to DH's run.

Might also do an amazon order for baby stuff and I saw one of the presents I wanted to get DD has gone cheaper

Cagliostro · 17/09/2017 09:30

Oops missed a load of posts - thank you 100 luckily I have got into the swing of it now and haven't had any failed tests since Friday. Am quite enjoying food with protein and good fats, it's hard planning though especially with timing for tests etc. And definitely noticing more how pretty much all easy food you can buy out and about is very carby!

ememem84 · 17/09/2017 09:35

Have just listed pushchair seat on Facebook for £100. (Backstory our original chassis wasn't working we took it back and a new one was delivered - excellent customer service there, but were left with space seat). Hopefully someone may want it...

100yearsdotcom · 17/09/2017 09:57

Yeah the timing of tests and meals and having to take food you could eat safely everywhere was a pain!

SunnyLikeThursday · 17/09/2017 10:01

Christmas I've heard that some people peg chicken wire over bulbs to stop the squirrels.

We're on a mission to get outside in the sunshine today. Brrrr....

Is it freezing everywhere or is it just us?

WreckTangled · 17/09/2017 10:05

It's chilly here and cloudy. I've only just had a shower love a lazy day

lifelongfrugaleer · 17/09/2017 10:05

It's a beautiful bright sunny day today here. Forecast rain late. Airing house, tidy up, washing, shopping are the orders for today. DC home work.

lifelongfrugaleer · 17/09/2017 10:14

I have over 2 years of back issues of cookery mags which i rarely refer to but don't seem to be able to recycle. What to do frugaleers? Tell me

ememem84 · 17/09/2017 10:15

Super sunny here. Windows are open to let cold germs out and fresh air in.

I'm on my second bucket of tea. And will probably need hauling out of bed soon so I can pee! Told dh earlier I wanted to smother him during the night as he was blatently showing off. He rolled over effortlessly in his sleep. I have to do at least a 4 point manoeuvre. I remember the effortless rolling. bastard haha!

Looking forward to front sleeping again. 😀

Dinner with parents tonight. Slow roasted lamby lamb lamb. baby better not make an appearance today, lambs my absolute fave

Fluffycloudland77 · 17/09/2017 10:21

Chilly here, washing going out via the spin dryer.

ememem84 · 17/09/2017 10:32

Sorting through maternity clothes today to pop on eBay. Not all but some of the stuff I bought from eBay. cag as you're nearing the end too, I'm assuming you don't want anything (mostly dresses skirts for work) and that's obviously assuming we're the same size.

CollieBobs · 17/09/2017 10:36

Sunny here too! Washing bedding today as it'll dry outside

I've had 2 people call me Kathryn / Catherine this week. My name is nothing like it & we don't even know any Kathryn's. So weird!!

Not frugal related - sorry about that! Grin

NSD today. Roast bird (chicken) for tea. Off to walk along the beach.
