Wheely I am with Need I would buy a new sink unless you like the ebay one. I reused our old toilet and some other fixtures when refreshing our bathroom and regret it - the toilet looks nice but is sooooo slow to flush, the toilet roll older has fallen off etc.

ememem84 · 12/09/2017 15:25

lonely I love fat face for pjs. These ones are grey tartan and I bought a green vest top to wear with them.

Parents always buy us pj's for Christmas too. I usually favour the shorts ones but figured for sitting about the house post baby lazy days long trousers would be better.

yumyumpoppycat · 12/09/2017 15:27

Laska I am jealous of your Lidl - ours doesn't do any of the weekend promos or middle aisle house bits. Be much nicer to give a bargainous new ironing board as gift too.

Made dp and I lunch today, and nespresso coffee before work to stave off latte pangs - £12 saved!!

Laska5772 · 12/09/2017 15:36

yum yes it is good ..they have recently revamped our Lidl and shut it for 4 months to do it.. its really good now.and we have a lot more choice (and a fab new bakery section ) I never found anything i wanted to buy in middle aisle in old shop But this time they had lots of good stuff .. must remember to go there more often rather than sainsburys or co op which i am in habit of using and to look there if i need any household stuff

I saw those PJ's today in Fat Face! And I was totally tempted. They're so lovely.

I've stopped panicking about my hair now. It was just a huge shock. And cold too! Brrr. It's a tad too short but it'll be fine within 4 weeks when it grows a little.

So, I've had loads of calls about jobs today. None are entirely suitable (full time only) but at least it shows I'm employable Smile

Loveabaconsandwich · 12/09/2017 16:02

That's a great boost collie , now you just need to wait for the right job to come along!

WreckTangled · 12/09/2017 16:34

Collie I'm sure it looks great Smile

£25 fuel £2.10 on coffee. The petrol was so expensive £1.23 Angry but I didn't have enough to get to the big town. Drove so much today, so pleased dinner is already sorted!

Fluffycloudland77 · 12/09/2017 17:34

Collie Try a nail oil twice a day & OPI nail envy. If you have weak nails nothing sticks well. Polish never fully dries so it chips easily. The oil makes the nail less likely to change shape whenever it gets wet, that pulls the nail away from the polish.

Most people have short hair for the summer Grin

£46 hair incl tip.
99p beer Aldi, £1.49 coffee beans. Waitrose coffee wasn't worth the increased cost IMO.
£5 veg for stew & 28lb bag of spuds in the farm shop. The potatoes were £3.50 of that but the other veg was pricier than Aldi Shock.

£1 wilko rinse aid.

Won a free dough balls & soft drink in pizza express on the shotgun app for driving nicely. It's not in conjunction with other offers so totally useless.

Need My dn was walked in on by his mum, only she didn't leave. She stood & watched till they noticed . I think you've done well to get 18 years in before it happened.

Yumy Smile Excellent savings. If you saved £12 every working day that's £240 a month.

Winter is coming.

I wonder where Copper Went to?

LonelyOversharer · 12/09/2017 18:23

The ribs were very yummy. Stir fry quick and easy too. Little dd's ate it well so that is a huge plus. Ds had his pizza

Have just spent £17.60 on acrylic yarn to knit a coat the same colour as my new boots! 30% off at checkout, so very pleased.

Need that's so funny and so embarrassing. Hee hee GrinBlush

ChristmasSeacow · 12/09/2017 18:33

Need ShockBlush. My then bf and I were walked in on at college in the middle of the afternoon by a maintenance guy. Tbf he did knock, we just thought it was a mate so didn't answer. We didn't think it would be a guy with a key who would then let himself in Grin

Collie I am glad you are getting over the hair shock, I'm sure it wasn't that bad.

£50 average price for a new ironing board? Shock I'll take care not to wear mine out then Wink

DS seemed fine at school today but is refusing his dinner. Oh well. DD is still feeding badly - we did go back to the GP Need and they tweaked the dose but I reckon we need to go again. But anyway, stressful as all this is she is really changing so much and is a lot more interactive and fun between feeds, and awake for much longer. I am really starting to enjoy the smiles and see her getting all determined about things!

Cagliostro · 12/09/2017 18:43

Fluffy euwwww!!! Who would want to watch that 😱😱😱

Laska5772 · 12/09/2017 18:56

lonely that looks fabulous , you are so clever to be abke to make something like that

Ok so the bag has arrived.
. Its gorgeous..I love it, but so expensive.. I ordered it because I was feeling sorry for myself after the weekend , but shouldnt really keep it , should I ? .. Talk me out of it ..

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 12/09/2017 18:57

Seacow ds hasn't been eating loads of dinner. I think he's just exhausted. Plus he has a hot meal at lunch time. Maybe I should just give him a sandwich?!

ememem84 · 12/09/2017 19:24

laksa keep the bag. If you love it and will use it keep it. I'm a fan of leopard print. Dh thinks it's a bit chavvy. But sometimes it's needed. Today for example I'm wearing hot pink and grey leopard print pants. They make me feel happy. Tomorrow I may wear my leopard flats.

I got sad today because it's the last Tuesday at work for a while. 😭 and tomorrow will be the last Wednesday 😭

This evening my chores are:

Wash up from dinner
Put washing machine on
Take echinacea and vitamin c to help make Sore throat go away
Early bed

I'm aware that there's a coldy/throat virus going around work. So am hoping that this isn't the start of it.

Dh has gone to the coop for food. Ben and jerrys and chocolate digestives are on his list.

Spends today £16 in m&s on fruit and a few bits for dinner.

WreckTangled · 12/09/2017 19:29

I think that a small amount of leopard print is good. I like the bag but it is a lot of money so it all depends on whether or not you can afford it.

lifelongfrugaleer · 12/09/2017 20:10

£110 Blimey - can you fit your purse in it or is it a bag that is all style over substance. How much will you really use it, really really ? How many bags do you need, you can only carry one at a time? What part of the motor home would that have bought you? can't go on holiday in a bag can you?
talked you out of it yet?

NSD today
sea i will post the parcel at the weekend of that's ok?

First world problem alert - holiday 2018
Dh wants to back to porta Pollensa
I want to go somewhere different maybe Santa Eulalia, Ibiza
Friends want a villa in Croatia which i don't mind Croatia and is an option for us but i don't want a villa as its like doing the same jobs in a different kitchen and i don't feel like its much of a holiday
All around the same price
WWYD? WDYT?

WreckTangled · 12/09/2017 20:17

Ibiza!! Absolutely gorgeous island

yumyumpoppycat · 12/09/2017 20:26

Laska I like the bag it's very pretty...however you presumably have 28 days to return. Put it away for a week then decide if you love it? In the meantime I saw a giant lidl billboard on the way home from work, Heidi Klum has a clothes collection for them in store on the 21st and I am pretty sure she is wearing a black jacket lined with leopard print!

Please excuse the fact this is a link to the scum sun article .

Laska5772 · 12/09/2017 20:29

Good efforts em wreck and life I can get everything in it ..
but yes all good points .. ill sleep on it ( not literally! Hmmmm what part of motorhome? )..but I may still be with the enablers on the Hush thread

Just spent £21.97 with Buyspares on a new stick blender attachment part for my hand held blender as we have lost ours (and its getting to be soup season) ..
Was reminded about this earlier following on from the MN thread 'What have you lost in your house?' . Have searched before and have now turned out cupboards again this evening, but no, I think its either gone out with the rubbish, or down the back where I cant get at it . But now I think of it , it did have a crack in it anyway.

OP posts:
Laska5772 · 12/09/2017 20:32

If I am going to use it soon, it would be on Saturday..Yum when we are going to a cabaret concert in Southampton. so ill give it until then.

Laska5772 · 12/09/2017 20:36
