Em if your low carbing friend isnt eating anything else than eggs meat and fish she is going to have one hell of a constipation problem!! could even be 5lbs worth of problem Grin

I am eating carbs this evening golden egg rice and veggies ,(H/M) , Yum .

Had NHS skin clinic appointment today after bit of a wait.. I had a huge mole my back which had started regularly bleeding. They have 'shaved' it off and sent it for test s but say they think its ok . Local anethestic but thats worn off now.. Its so sore!! (boo hoo! waaaa!)

So those shoes ..... they may have arrived! .. they may be keepers.. although if they had and were I think i would change the white laces to black ones .

Spends today £44 in Waitrose on reduced meat for freezer cleaning groducts .. and other stuff.. .. I had to go there to pick up a mysterious parcel from JL.. Grin.

Anyone else here have peppermint teabags? They seem to have really shot up in price!! Why? It cant be brexit can it?

Em Do JL deliver free to your Waitrose?

Need I see you have been enabling on another thread!! .....tsk tsk

We love Chilli. My recipe is many years honed but is a bit like HFWs recipe from his Meat book.

We love it with crusty bread , h/m coleslaw and gratedstrong cheddar - which is how we used to serve it in a pub i used to work in, way back when.

Its ok.. Hugh says there is no 'authentic' chilli recipe or way to serve it. because there isnt an 'authentic' Mexican ( or anywhere else) dish! . I am going with this .

Cag ouch I remember the leg cramps, I saw on the lidl thread today that they sell low carb bread - I haven't seen it in ours though. Hovis do a small loaf for £1.10 - I get it in waitrose when they spend me the £8 off a £40 vouchers. It is a bit more but as someone said you can just use one slice rather than two - I freeze mine and toast a slice to have with eggs and some leaves or whatever for breakfast.

Laska5772 · 14/09/2017 18:11

Hi all, I know this thread has moved on since the school shoe discussion but just wondering if anyone could use some boys size 3 school shoes and plimsols? My ds grew to a 4 before he got to wear them! Shoes worn once actually Shock shoes are black with small red detailing, primiggi brand so quite wide and plain black Velcro plimsols.

yumyumpoppycat · 14/09/2017 18:20

Laska please tell me you picked up a newspaper and free latte from waitrose when getting the mystery package Grin

Laska5772 · 14/09/2017 18:24

My DVD arrived but it may be a dodgy copy. I will need to open it to check... before asking for my money back. Apparently it is illegal to send counterfeit goods back in the post

Grin em at the biscuit in the gob

Haven't left the house as worked from home so a NSD

WreckTangled · 14/09/2017 18:46

As most of you know dd needs decent shoes so I've been searching for some decent winter boots for her. Couldn't find any I liked apart from ones that were £££ like the startrite ones for £70. Just got them on amazon for £28! I'm so pleased.

ememem84 · 14/09/2017 18:46

laksa I'm not sure if they do...might check.

Home from work. Seriously almost peed myself waiting for dh to finish work.

Have also just done catfaces flea treatment - she wasn't happy about it but it's done.

SnugglySnerd · 14/09/2017 18:54

Oops! Accidentally spent 20 quid on treats in posh deli/bakery. Dinner will be delicious. Diet and money saving start after the weekend!

yumyumpoppycat · 14/09/2017 19:07

Oh that's so irritating re your voucher Laska.

Great news re amazon bargain shoes wreck Glitterball (it's a new emoticon so didn't want to waste it - in spirit of thread)

Em I was given an orchard when I went on first maternity leave, I was off for weeks before I actually had ds and all the flowers fell off before he was born, this made me cry because I thought I can't even look after a plant never mind a baby. I nowrealise the flowers always fall off Blush

WreckTangled · 14/09/2017 19:11

I can't see the glitter ball emoticon?! These are the shoes...

I'm so cold but it's not cold enough for the heating. Nope. Winter pjs and a blanket. Dh bought me chocolate. (Sorry cag)

I don't think I've spent any money today Shock

But I made the screen and then printed the 280 race numbers for sunday (2 at a time) so much easier second time round, and I didn't mess any up. Just 1120 safety pins to pin on tomorrow. Then baking.

Tea was flat chicken breast, egged and breadcrumbs with parmesan in, pan fried then oven, with gnocchi and left over veg (shallot, sweet potato, courgette and greenhouse toms) sauteed. No tin of toms or passata to make a sauce, but it was still ok. Need to shop for cupboard staples then. But I just want chilli now. Next week.

Wore my new primark jeggings, they're just fine! Not as stretchy as my tu ones, but at under half the price they will certainly do. Car wheels and sofa seat pad all arriving tomorrow.

LonelyOversharer · 14/09/2017 19:22

Those boots have a proper chunky sole wreck really nice. Kids clarks boots tend to have slim flat soles, which I always think is pretty pointless for winter. Are they for school? Ours have to be black, and boots are not allowed in secondary, which also seems pointless.

Wish dp would produce chocolate. But there is none in the house (bar 30p cooking chocolate, which I'm actually tempted by). 6 miles to the shop...I guess I can wait.

Cagliostro · 14/09/2017 19:27

Thanks wreck I think it'll take some getting used to, thankfully the post dinner test worked first time 9.8 though :(

I thought the glitterball emoticon was a grumpy grey pumpkin for Halloween at first :o

WreckTangled · 14/09/2017 19:32

Oh no cag Sad what did you have? How long after dinner did you test?

No lonely they're for outside of school she's not allowed boots at school either although if I said they were better for her I'm sure they'd let her. She liked boots though as they hold her feet in place and stop her tripping. Yes I hate clarks never shop there. No good for problem feet!

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 14/09/2017 19:32

Hello all, we have nearly filled up another thread! Shall I start a new one?

Have just spent £55 on Amazon, got dds Christmas present at half price (one of those fitbit type things was £30 instead of £60) plus stocking fillers etc.

Sunny last year dd had the nasal spray rather than the flu jab, ideally she would have the jab but she point blank refused and i figured the nasal spray was better than nothing.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 14/09/2017 19:38

Have started a new thread!! Hope thats okay, not the most imaginative of titles i'm afraid Grin

Cagliostro · 14/09/2017 19:46

Was out for dinner, had grilled halloumi (with a bit of sweet chilli as I didn't think, but it was like a teaspoon worth max not the whole pot provided), tandoori chicken pieces with a bit of yoghurt dip (I guess both those things could have sugar in. However I had a small Pepsi max (I only ever have fizzy when out for a meal now) BUT when I was finishing it I realised it didn't taste that sweetenerish so maybe they misheard gave me regular?! I may be clutching at straws there though.

I started dinner at 5.45 tested at 6.45, but maybe it's supposed to be an hour after finishing not an hour after starting?! It doesn't say anywhere on the info

WreckTangled · 14/09/2017 19:50

Yes do it an hour after you finish eating. Pepsi max mmm I don't find that does taste of sweeteners. I would bet it's the chilli sauce and that your levels have gone down by now. Sounds like a delicious meal Smile

Cagliostro · 14/09/2017 20:00

It was yum! I'm clearly a newbie though, I was totally focused on not having anything with bread/chips etc that I didn't even think about sauces and just happily dunked away. Oops. Good to know about it being an hour after finishing, that makes more sense as I guess sometimes you might be at a restaurant for more than an hour anyway! I'll see what happens over the weekend.

Really appreciate you talking me through that Thanks :)
