NSD & £11.44 mb profits.

I've downloaded a driving app I found on save the student. It monitors your driving & pays out in vouchers and prizes. It's called shotgun.

A £1 valued opinion survey stalled halfway through so I've complained Angry

SunnyLikeThursday · 09/09/2017 16:19

Mammy yes I think he's just a roving landscaper. I suppose he just goes door to door and other neighbours ask him to do their drive if they see that he has done one well. It's very hard to know whether the work would last though. There's a lot of block paving around here and it tends not to last very well, regardless of who does it.

Wheelycote · 09/09/2017 16:27

Sun is out here now🌞 after mucho mucho rain💦☔️

Returned items £15.38
Spend 11.27 in screwfix. A right angle screwdriver, a vent cover and blades for the scraper.
Have more to return but need to find the receipts!

Pick up overtime tomorrow SmileConfusedlol

Wheelycote · 09/09/2017 16:29

Should be *Picked up overtime lol

lifelongfrugaleer · 09/09/2017 16:52

Welcome yum-yum.
I don't think it's the fact he was Irish is the think. It's the asking for work, knocking on doors and instant availability that ring alarm bells with me. The best people come recommended and you have to wait for.

£60 hair dressers for dd and i

ememem84 · 09/09/2017 17:11

mammy WOW!!!! That's amazing!!! Haha!!

£55 afternoon tea for 3. (And there were leftovers which I've brought home for dh). Dm and dsis had champagne afternoon tea. I had tea afternoon tea. Was yummmm

SunnyLikeThursday · 09/09/2017 17:12

That's right life. I was pleased to have a friendly Irishman to talk to and would generally prefer that, being Scottish myself. Mints on the drive sound less useful.

WreckTangled · 09/09/2017 17:22

Welcome yum yum

We've had a lazy afternoon. Dh played football and I've lounged around doing nothing 😂 oven pizza for dinner. And corona.

Dd is desperate to watch strictly but I got rid of the to licence. I feel bad but it's so expensive!

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/09/2017 18:01

Welcome Yum

Frikkadellen, mash & gravy for me. Pizza for Dh.

Free kettle chips on green jinn app, 150g. Ends tomorrow. Must get Dh an account then I'll save them for Christmas.

WreckTangled · 09/09/2017 18:11

Had this with the pizza to feel more healthy

mammymammyIRL · 09/09/2017 18:14

Oven pizza for dinner here for dc
Carbonara with slow cooked ham & steamfresh veg & yolks from our own eggs.

Sweet potato flatbread I've gotta try this out.

needastrongone · 09/09/2017 18:15

The door step selling would be the alarm bell for me too. Usually really good folk don't even advertise.

I'm in a field near Monmouth. Competing. I'm hopelessly behind on the thread but it's at least cheap (apart from the silly cost of ponies, the weekend itself is!).

Welcome new folk, I'm usually regular but life is busy this last week or so.

sunny, do you miss Scotland? I got to thinking 'cos being in the beautiful Welsh rolling hills is so like Yorkshire and I'd so hate to leave there permanently. But Scotland (where we holiday frequently), ah, there's something so wonderful about the place. Just wondering if had the affinity still.

SnugglySnerd · 09/09/2017 18:50

Place marking. Had a very busy couple of days. Will try to catch up tomorrow. Hope everyone is well and having a lovely weekend.

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/09/2017 18:50

Our house is new build, literally 5 minutes after moving we had a man dressed as a leprechaun offering double glazing and conservatories as they had a "cancelled order" Hmm which is why I don't answer the door anymore unless it's family.

Monmouth is England if your Welsh, and Welsh if your English.

Lonely Can I use icing sugar in a cake mix? I sometimes do glacé icing but very rarely. It would be great if I could use it up.

LonelyOversharer · 09/09/2017 19:01

We haven't even had tea yet! Will send dp out for a Chinese when he wakes up and will do cheese on tiger bread toast for dc (they ate at grandmas).

We sometimes get travellers here, they go door to door doing roofs/driveways/scrap you have to be so careful as they usually don't do a very good job, and can get a bit aggresive if you call them out on it. We have aquired loads of local contacts from having a small business though, it's easy to get people you know a bit to do jobs well.

LonelyOversharer · 09/09/2017 19:03

It's just fine sugar fluffy I'm sure I've used it in the past when I've run out of caster sugar. I'm not sure how it could go wrong.

needastrongone · 09/09/2017 19:04

Wherever it is, it's lovely. We are actually staying in a sheep field, therefore it must be WelshWinkWinkGrin

Finished for the day. Our loan pony is a good solid willing sort that has stepped up to DD's category very well. Which was the benefit to her owners of lending her in the first place for free, to show she can as she's being sold, see, frugality even in a sheep fieldGrin

She's not quite mental enough for DD's liking sadly! To be an out and out games pony you need to have been discarded by the rest of the disciplines (apart from racing) as having a screw loose.

That's when games riders get on them GrinGrin

And this is where they shine, bless them Smile

Cagliostro · 09/09/2017 19:12

Can I join you on the hormonal preggo crying bench please em (promise I'll bring chocolate) - I was a wreck today!

Safely ensconced at mum's now though and settling down for strictly!

Spends £9 train £5 bus/tram £10 Burger King comfort food

CollieBobs · 09/09/2017 19:22

cag hope you feel cheerier soon Flowers hormones are bitches.

So today's spends were;
Radiator airer for DS's room £3 (we ditched the tumble drier last month)
Huge plant pot for stupid dwarf conifer that keeps falling over in the wind £4, filled with gravel & compost we already had
Forehead stick £4
Paracetamol 40p

It's been so flippin' windy ere. Ears ache from it all! Was tempted to have pasties & clotted cream ice cream. But was sensible & went home for jacket potato & blackberry crumble instead

ememem84 · 09/09/2017 19:40

hop on cag

Just bought a cotbed on Amazon. £175 with mattress. Should arrive by the end of next week. Those are all the essentials bought. Hoorah.

Watching "cannonball" on itv. Hilarious.

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/09/2017 20:07

Can you get waterproof cot mattress protectors? You could put two on so when there's a poonami you can get cleaned up quicker.

ememem84 · 09/09/2017 20:12

Good shout fluffy will look to get some. Assume it's sensible to do mattress protector sheet protector sheet for quick changing?!

Cagliostro · 09/09/2017 20:16

Thank you lovelies Thanks

Welcome yumyum!

:o Shock at the minty driveway!

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/09/2017 20:17

Yep. Maybe spare top sheet/blanket/duvet to hand so you get back to sleep quicker.

I've heard gro bags contain things well too & sell cheaply second hand but fb tend to get new.

ememem84 · 09/09/2017 20:21

Good shout.

So many things to learns. It's going to be such an exciting adventure.

I've bought a few bags of stuff from carboot sales - second hand clothes babygrows etc. I got a bundle of the cutest french boys clothes for £5. About a gazillion babygrows.
