That's marvellous news Sunny, I hope he gets what he wants. Epic week indeed.

I'd slice the potatoes & lay them over the mince to make hotpot.

I use a hand whisk for mash. Like delia.

Laska My Dh complained breaded plaice was "too fishy" Angry. He thinks he only likes cod but I frequently go rogue in takeaways and have whatever's cooked. He's never noticed.

Collie Don't be disheartened, the darkest hour is before dawn. Try the profit accumulator introductory offers tomorrow & it'll pay for your first months membership.

£20 fuel.
£8 oyster bay Sauvignon blanc
90p soya.
£88 two weeks food delivery coming tomorrow.

£5 in nectar points claimed.

Citric acid & soda crystals not working as dw powder. Dw detergent is an enigma.

I did find a recipe for alcoholic ginger beer on crunchy Betty though. apparently you shouldn't let it brew too long or it gets really strong. Challenge accepted.

SunnyLikeThursday · 08/09/2017 17:55

I'm so glad to be able to come here for discussion of ready made mash. Sometimes it's just what's needed.

CollieBobs · 08/09/2017 18:03

fluffy love that saying! it looks good! I'm a bit nervous of it though but no idea why. But will definitely give it a go tonight

LonelyOversharer · 08/09/2017 18:09

I've also got a good sized Morrisons seacow if you want me to look too. Denim yarn has arrived. 100% cotton, dk. Will make a top down jumper, plain on the front, lacy pattern on the back. Might sew a skirt onto the bottom once finished.

£22 Maccy dees, £14 asda on snacks.

Dc are shattered after their first week back, so am I! Back to the churn of school uniform weekend laundry.

I only ever use fairy platinum in the dw. It's one of my no quibble in bulk when on offer brand purchases.

LonelyOversharer · 08/09/2017 18:10

yarn!

Preggo low - I cried walking to the car. It's pissing down with rain, blowing a hooley, im tired after a week of work, I had a stupid umbrella, and a bag of shopping both of which were trying to get away from me. And dh was trying to call me to find out where I was - I was late picking him up because I stopped at the shop on my way to the car and he was worried about me.

I may have thrown umbrella to the ground and yelled "FUCKTHiS!" And then burst into tears. And stood in the rain for a bit. Cried. Then realised it wasn't helping anything. So stormed my way to the car.

Now enjoying this. I also bought soda water for dh instead of tonic water so he couldn't have gin wife fail

We're happy. Indoors. Tasty food. Watching tv. Catface is fed. Windows closed. Comfies on. Happy faces.

Collie It feels a bit seedy at first. Keep a record of all profits made so you don't lose track.

Can you not sign yourself off sick for the last 5 days Em back ache, heavy cold..... I really wish i had done this rather than struggle on to the end, dd was then 3 weeks early so had no time to sort anything out or rest.

Not a NSD in the end as had to pay the window cleaner £10.

We had chicken and noodles for tea, was yum.

ChristmasSeacow · 08/09/2017 20:20

Poor you Em. Sometimes it's just the last straw. When I was about 8m pregnant with DS I was still commuting through London (during the 2012 olympics Confused) and one day I'd been at work for 12 hours and was knackered. I got on a busy tube carriage, tripped over thin air and fell flat in my face. I burst into tears, it was very embarrassing as the whole carriage was watching me Blush

Thanks so much Lonely and Laska for offering to look in Morrisons, that's really kind. I'd be so grateful if anyone could find them and will of course cover costs including postage. Pic of trousers is attached. I'm after 12-18m ideally but would also love 18-24 as these will go with everything. They were in the baby clothes (0-24m) section, not the girls section (1 yr +). They are £4 I think.

Dcs have been rotten today but at least the rain brought a rainbow!

ChristmasSeacow · 08/09/2017 20:27

been a busy week at work but pretty low spends. £34 in lidl, £21 in tesco (my tea was on offer so bought 6 boxes, plus other stuff) £27 on a few Christmas presents for dds from schpock (guardians of galaxy busy book, leapfrog leapband and super smash bros for Nintendo 3ds) £10 on disney crossy roads figures reduced for Christmas.

now im going to read back through the thread 😃

thewaitresses · 08/09/2017 20:39

I LOVE the trousers! Keep hearing good things about Morrisons children's clothes but don't think even the big one near us does them. I need to investigate

Fluffycloudland77 · 08/09/2017 20:50

Proper frugalling there nocuts. Bulk buying is worth the outlay.

CollieBobs · 08/09/2017 20:56

CollieCat has just proven herself useful and has successfully batted out a few marbles and 2 Lego men from under the sofa.

Grin

I have just "upcycled" our poang chair. We didnt need it downstairs anymore amd we were looking at getting DS a tub chair for his bedroom for reading. I have just inserted the poang cushion into a spare toddler sized duvet cover and it fits perfectly! Just tucked the excess fabric (width) around the back and now DS has a really cool chair (with tractors on) for his reading corner! Grin pleased!! It looks brilliant and the length couldn't have been better fitting.

ememem84 · 08/09/2017 21:00

Awesome trousers!!! seacow

girlie in theory yes I could. But I dont want to unless I absolutely have to. determined not to give up

I'm sure I'll be fine after a nice rest up. I think to be honest the umbrella tipped me Over the edge.

I'm i bed now. All snuggled up with a hot drink and catface. Well I'm snuggled. She's pouncing the duvet.

Tomorrow I plan to sleep in/stay in bed until at least 11. Then have a nice bath. And then go for tea. Then have dinner. Then go back to bed. #stressfulday

ChristmasSeacow · 08/09/2017 21:14

Ooh that's worth knowing *Collie, we have one of those in DD's room but it won't be cream for long Grin

Waitresses the baby stuff (boys and girls) was lovely and the quality seemed great. There was a lovely white tee with embroidered daisies that goes with it (I bought that already). I wasn't so keen on the designs of the older child stuff but maybe it just happens not to suit my taste this season. The women's sleepwear looked really good but I thought I'd spent enough already so I resisted. They need to sell it online like Tu now does!

CollieBobs · 08/09/2017 21:34

Christmas ours was cream for a very short time too! Haha! Love a no-sew fix.

fluffy I think I need more time to read up on profit accumulator. I just don't understand it Blush Wine

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 08/09/2017 21:34

kind of caught up, my eyes are going a bit funny... too much time on tablet I thfunny

seacow those leggings are v cute, I'm not near a Morrison's otherwise I'd look for you. matalan had some nice older girls stuff when I looked in there a couple of weeks ago.

collie upcycling is always good fun and great for saving money - I've just turned a plain dolls house into a superhero headquarters for the preschool I work at 😁 dd wants me to do hers as a unicorn centre now... so maybe won't be too frugal as "it's got to be sparkly and rainbow" according to dd 😂

fluffy dp wasn't so impressed as I stocked up on my other tea the other week so have an entire bag for life full!! I'm addicted to tea especially twinings flavoured green tea 😂😂

em you are allowed to lose it and cry in public when your pregnant especually when inanimate objects don't behave! I did several times, also when shops had run out of the food I wanted 😂😂 that sounds like a great way to start the weekend, I used to love doing that especially with a good book, cuppa and a pack of biscuits 😊

what surveys do you all do? are any of them apps you can download?

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 08/09/2017 21:39

oh and forgot we went to Brighton yesterday for Lego club £6.80 bus fare, £6.50 McDonalds for girls, £5 poundshop toiletries, £14 primark on sports bra, leggings and a waist belt. got a few nights out and all my going out dresses are too big since loosing 1st 11lb on slimming world. they arent really geeky t-shirt, jeans and converse evenings 😂

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 08/09/2017 21:53

We have a big Morrisons near us Seacow so will def have a look, those trousers are gorgeous!

Em you sound like me, I struggled on but seriously wish I hadn't bothered in hindsight, you don't get any thanks for it - well I didn't anyway! See how you go but if you are tired there is no shame in admitting defeat.
