I loved being pregnant apart from going off cheese ( my favourite food) . The strange thing was that I was vegetarian ( and so was DS father) but during pregnancy the longing for meat became totally unbearable and i caved by about 6 months in with a ham sandwich.. That was it. Straight back to meat eating , and DS( now 27) was when weaned and still is the biggest carnivore ever!!

I reckon the theory about the body craving what it needs (not even just during pregnancy) makes sense so I guess you just needed the meat! Like Phoebe in Friends :o

I am finding the new trackpad hard to handle. I'll get used to it right? Hopefully the Caglets will manage it as they have to do a lot of their home ed stuff on here.

mammymammyIRL · 03/09/2017 22:33

Lifelong my second pregnancy was about 200 months long or that's how it felt never to be repeated, I wouldn't have two children if my first was like it!

Very exciting afternoon my home county won both junior & senior all ireland hurling finals GrinStarGrin
And the dc stayed outside so I got to watch it in peace Smile

Off to do grocery shopping Confused

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/09/2017 06:01

Morning
Back to it today. Got to ask for next summer's leave today. Should go down well..

thewaitresses · 04/09/2017 06:09

Hello 6am alarm and back to the working world!

WreckTangled · 04/09/2017 06:31

Morning! I loved being pregnant despite being really ill towards the end with dd and having pre term inductions with both.

Back to work today eek! Will have to pay for parking then ds has swimming later.

SnugglySnerd · 04/09/2017 06:49

It's strange Em one baby was very wriggly one one kept still more. They are still the same now!

LonelyOversharer · 04/09/2017 08:18

We are up and ready in time! we set 4 alarms

Almost had a nsd yesterday, then downloaded "the dressmaker" as it has Kate Winslet in it, and I always like her. Haven't finished it, but the lead guy (Thors brother) dies, and I felt a bit cheated! It had better have a happy ending.

I had one angry kick your ribs out baby, two wrigglers and one stationary baby. This is how they still are! My two wrigglers go back today.

Well done need ! Superb running. If running is like cycling you're seriously good to go in the fast men's team.

Right, school run calls!

LonelyOversharer · 04/09/2017 08:19

Oh cag trackpad thingy did my head in. We have a teeny wireless mouse that I use instead.

Cagliostro · 04/09/2017 08:29

Wow lonely and snuggly if that's not an argument for nature over nurture I don't know what is! In that case Cagletini is going to be a very active child indeed.

9 days in to melatonin use, astounding difference. She's waking up before 7 now but not too fussed by that really as she is still getting way more sleep.

Best of luck to anyone starting school today!

Cagliostro · 04/09/2017 08:32

Trackpad on old laptop was great but this one seems super sensitive and the cursor keeps jumping about. Hoping we will get used to it soon as if not I think a mouse will be necessary.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 04/09/2017 10:06

Morning all Smile

Dd has a friend over today and have promised them swimming, will take own drinks and snacks. In theory could be a NSD....

Also going to put dds old hamster cage on a selling page, which would pay for the new one!!

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 04/09/2017 10:07

Thats great that the melatonin is working so well Cag will it be something she can stay on long term?

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 04/09/2017 10:09

Oh just realised clearly not going to be a NSD as swimming will cost money Blush durr! I clearly need more caffeine Grin

Cagliostro · 04/09/2017 10:10

Thanks girlie I'm not sure really as they didn't say anything when prescribing it, but the instructions say 13 weeks maximum. So not sure if we will have to take a break or something (I know friends do that with ADHD meds)

Cagliostro · 04/09/2017 10:11

I was wondering if you got it free or something and was jealous! Cost seems to vary massively across the country for swimming

Loveabaconsandwich · 04/09/2017 11:17

Spends:
£21 Tesco
£40 petrol
£19.50 music lessons for DD1 for the term

ememem84 · 04/09/2017 12:41

Oh jeez if that's the case like cag baby boy is going to be an active one!!

Counting down the days now. Today is day 10 left of work THIS YEAR!

Spends include £10 in warehouse on a pink jumper. In the sale for after baby. In my usual size. If it doesn't fit I'll either squish myself into it anyway or will donate to dsis.

£5 in clintons on birthday cards for my grandma. One "happy birthday grandma" and one "happy birthday great grandma" (her birthday is 16 days after my due date so baby will definetly be here by then..."

Fluffycloudland77 · 04/09/2017 15:01

Cag That's amazing, maybe it will reset her sleep patterns?.

£1.40 pudding rice & 2 packs of stuffing. Falafel for lunch (3p each if you make them).

I should make £25 mb today.

ItalianWiking84 · 04/09/2017 15:18

First day back at work today. Been on leave for 13 monthShock I'm knackered
And apparently my manager signed me up for a class so started that at 9 am with 10 minutes notice...
Worse is thought that I have to give English lessons to colleagues from Monday Shock I wanna go back to maternity leave Blush
Dh have done shopping so no idea about cost yet.

Loveabaconsandwich · 04/09/2017 15:54

Blimey italian talk about throwing you into the deep end! Hope the day got better. Do you work full time?

ememem84 · 04/09/2017 16:09

Wow italian I can tell believe they gave you no notice of the course!! What area do you work in?

I've discovered something today at work. A can of worms has been well and truely opened. Sigh. I've been tasked with trying to fix it before I go on leave. Not sure if it'll be possible. But I've spent most of my day in the archive storage room here pulling old files and having them sent to my desk. Have discovered an old handwritten deed to a bank in Devon which dates back to 1831. I had no idea we even held it. It's huge and so pretty. All calligraphy and real wax seal s and what not.

northender · 04/09/2017 16:20

That's great news Cag hope she gets to continue with it
Laska glad your pain is improving. I remember studying some Mackenzie (long time ago) and thinking of the pain as a set amount stretched the length of your leg, for example. When it starts to retreat up your leg, it's the same amount of pain concentrated in a smaller area so it's more intense. Not sure if that makes sense to anyone else but it's how I thought of it!!
Good sorting out day here. I'm onto the last bit of my decluttering project which has been going on a long time now. Apart from the rooms looking better, I've had some frugal wins:
2 old gift cards checked £7 in total
2 library loyalty cards found which are full so I can order 2 cookery books for free! (60p per request usually)
1 book sold for £6 on Ziffit
£5 banked from topcashback with another £5 pending
Dh fixed a dodgy connection in the foot pedal of a mini sewing machine which was dd's. She hardly used it as my mum then gave her her old machine (much more advanced). A friend is going to have the mini one for her dd for £20
We have started looking at holidays for next year & as we don't have that many left probably as a family of 4, we are looking at going quite a bit further afield so I may have to get even more frugal. The furthest we have been with the dc is North West France and North East Spain so it's going to be exciting.

LonelyOversharer · 04/09/2017 16:24

First day done. Children survived. Ds home without a nap - massive tick. I'm hoping to reset his bedtime from almost midnight Shock to about 9pm. Problem is the little blighter only needs about 8 hrs, so if you put him to bed too early...

Soent just £8 in the coop on chicken and get us home lollies/choc. Will do a random pasta cba cooking sort of tea

Hoping to make £12 mb later, and transfer £20 from bookie to exchange to qualify for a third free bet, which should net me £10 tomorrow. Are you still sticking to the rules fluffy ? I've gone a bit rougue. I add a bit to the lay bet to make more out of the free bets. I only do this if the odds are high (like 15 or over) as less chance of the horse winning. I'm quite sure I'll get my fingers burned at some point! But I'm only betting with profit now, so it doesn't feel so bad.

em I take it someones fucked up and you have to fix it? At least you'll be off soon and much more busy
