Also snuggly you must have had no peace with two babies wiggling about. Jeeez. Your poor tenderised ribs. X

SunnyLikeThursday · 03/09/2017 16:29

nocuts thanks, that's good to know that things are better in your dd's class. I'm hoping things might be better this year if I can get ds to tell me when things are going wrong and talk to the teacher about it. He's had a rubbish time at school so far. I keep wondering if we ought to just move or if moving would be harder on him than staying put.

WreckTangled · 03/09/2017 16:32

Sunny dd loves school and can't wait to go back. We're lucky that she has no problems academically although she does sometimes say that she doesn't have time to always finish her work. I think that's just because the teachers have so much to do and get into the day so I'm not worried.

Em film your bump moving, I never did and wish I had!

I was KFC. Luckily it won't happen because the nearest one is forty minutes away 😭

Loveabaconsandwich · 03/09/2017 16:34

em I think you are meant to get fed up so you just want to get on with giving birth.

A girl I used to line manage has just had a baby boy. She'd been posting on FB for months about expecting a girl Grin. Think that was a shock!

Pouring with rain here. We got rid of two bags of rubbish to the tip. Had a nice roast dinner. I did all the name labelling of school clothes (although haven't bought t shirts which will be needed later in the year). DP finally ironed his shirts that have been in the basket for six weeks as he is back to school tomorrow (works in finance) as he's been going to work in t shirts all summer.

NSD Halo . Not sure when we last had one of those!

Hope you have a lovely holiday seacow

Is copper on holiday?

SunnyLikeThursday · 03/09/2017 16:35

Wreck That's good that it's not just us then. Thanks!

I thought we went back tomorrow, but it turns out that it's Wednesday so we get two extra days of holiday. Yay!

Fluffycloudland77 · 03/09/2017 16:39

Well you can't email the CEO when things like that happen.

£4 sains on 2kg red lentils, carrot, onion & 4 packs of stock cubes. All for soup making. I make it in the slow cooker.
£1.80 Aldi, pitta bread, bread & chips.

Money in, £10 voucher.

Loveabaconsandwich · 03/09/2017 16:40

When tidying up I found one of the big lindor chocolate crackers from last Christmas. They are dated October 17. So the count down to Christmas starts now 🙊

WreckTangled · 03/09/2017 16:47

I'm back at work tomorrow but the children go back Tuesday. Can't believe my baby boy is starting school!

SunnyLikeThursday · 03/09/2017 16:53

Gosh! Good luck to him Wreck. Smile And good luck to you. Smile

lifelongfrugaleer · 03/09/2017 17:34

Whispers>> I hated being pregnant. Sorry I know lots of people would love to be and I know I'm lucky to have 2 fab DC. Worst 42 and 41 weeks of my life.

SunnyLikeThursday · 03/09/2017 17:38

I can't altogether remember what it was like being pregnant. It all got erased by the blinding sleep deprivation that came after. (which was excessive and does not happen to other people).

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 03/09/2017 18:15

I liked being pregnant but unfortunately was unwell from 5 months with Gallstones which was shit quite frankly! It's all worth it in the end....

Had a nice day but its been torrential rain all day, feels a bit nippy as well. Sent dd to the shop or a few bits £3 and we found a new hamster cage at the reuse shop, its a good size one £5 hoping this one will be more cat proof

Also gave £5 to charity, a local hospice and have paid back £100 to my mum (she lent me £500 towards the car.)

Dd starts secondary on Wednesday Shock

lifelongfrugaleer · 03/09/2017 18:29

£40 or just under on day out. Sunny ish but windy.

SunnyLikeThursday · 03/09/2017 18:51

Very best of luck to your dd Girlie. Very exciting. I found secondary much more fun.

needastrongone · 03/09/2017 19:13

Not read back as been out at a team relay all day. 2 years ago our team couldn't even get the baton round the 64 mile route. Today, 14th out of 55 teams. Small club, but improving rapidly. I was on the A team with all the blokes, but running is a scenario where I can hold my own, so I wasn't fussed about that. Just fucking knackered now!

fluffy you are going be be able to make some frugal soups/meals with that haul.

NSD (apart from petrol but that's a claim).

Fluffycloudland77 · 03/09/2017 19:42

love I'm about to food bank a Xmas pud & a jar of mincemeat. The latter I know they can't use but Tesco add 25% to whatever you donate. I have a new food allergy so I can't use them. I found them yesterday and was 'yay!" Then "oh fml".

I'm going to make laundry gloop again, I'm trimming the fat & even Aldi powder is expensive now.

Sainsburys world food section have cheaper spices than online spice suppliers & Aldi.

I'm going to try Waitrose dw powder too. If 3kg of the Tesco one lasted me nearly a year then 1kg should last 3 months which should save me a couple of quid.

Need I feel better when I have soup supplies in Blush

Laska5772 · 03/09/2017 20:44

Forgot I can post on my phone! Gawd never travel on last day of school holidays inthe rain! IOW to Watford over 4 hrs!!!!! We were talking soup in car( well you have to amuse yourselves somehow in traffic jam) have decided when we retired we will instigate Soup of the Week as a regular money saving thing..and Cake of the week also!!

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 03/09/2017 20:50

I like the sound of soup and cake of the week. I'm adopting that's for now.
Well done on the relay need.

ememem84 · 03/09/2017 20:51

laksa that sounds awesome. Soup of the week. And cake of the week. Great stuff. I was talking to dh earlier about meal planning while I'm on leave. Said we'd have one quick cheap no fuss meal a week. Soup and toasties/naice bread (we have Paul hollywoods bread book so I may just work my way through it). He was on board with this. I'm pinteresting soup recipes now. Mmmmmmm soup.

Tomorrow I'm going to make spicy Thai carrot and apple soup. It contains peanut butter. And is bloody delicious. Sounds odd. But tasty as.

Cagliostro · 03/09/2017 20:59

Lentilly soup is the bomb. Proper comfort food that.

Em I actually found myself asking friends the other day if it's normal not to enjoy the whole baby wriggles thing. I totally did with the other two but this one seems to be far far more active and actually sometimes I find myself hating it because it feels so weird that it makes me feel quite sick. And then feeling guilty for hating it. But several had experienced similar in some pregnancies and no not everyone finds it 100% enjoyable. Totally normal to get sick of it by the home stretch!

It's been a just-get-through-it sort of day today. Everyone fed, no one dead is the sum of my achievements.

ItalianWiking84 · 03/09/2017 21:10

Oopsie oopsie just ordered 2 surprise bags from småfolk for the dds. 30£ each containing stufffor around 150£ each. Last time was a success so Hoping it's again. They make such lovely clothes. Will have a readtrough tomorrow. I'm off to bed now.

ememem84 · 03/09/2017 21:11

I imagine if I'd had any difficulties or complications I wouldn't have enjoyed it as much. Don't get me wrong I didn't enjoy the 3 months of bloating and nausea. And am not so much enjoying the latter stages. But know I've been very lucky with this one - minimal symptoms zero complications so far. I also realise I'm lucky even to get pregnant so haven't moaned at anyone about feeling tired/sick. apart from dh

Am now just enjoying the time we have left as a family of three (including catface in this one) before we move to a four.

She has become more protective. I went to the loo earlier. And she scratched at the door and meowed because I was taking a while. Apparently when I didn't open it straight away she went to living room and meowed at dh then came back to the bathroom. she's now on bed with me. Supervising.

Fluffycloudland77 · 03/09/2017 21:19

She's a clever girl.

I also love cake of the week.

Laska5772 · 03/09/2017 21:33

Ha! The idea has taken off! Luckilybfor me DH is a great cook and we will be taking turns in the kitchen.. We couldnt decide whichh soup/cake we liked best so I think we will have a good variety ..Smile. Waitrose moussak ( which i got reduced) was really good actually. I doubt i could have made better for the price..
