OOohhhh poor catface.

She's in her safe space under the bed. I've left food nearby so she can see it and have popped some in her usual bowl too. will just leave her to it today.

Off to the gym in a bit. Then shop to grab some things for dinner then back home for cleaning/tidying/bed changing etc. And some Netflix. Yay!!!

ChristmasSeacow · 18/08/2017 09:33

I do like cooking Need although chopping up a butternut squash is always a PITA 🔪. I am motivated by liking food but not really liking ready meals!

Thanks for looking st formula - Ocado is bringing some today. But I am taking DD back to the gp today as she is really upset again this morning - it is definitely due to pain during and after feeding. I don't want to change anything else till I have spoken to the GP about gaviscon as I am not sure whether it is not making things worse.

Off to a park with DS now - not our nearest park but one he prefers do we will drive and park in Tesco. Bit spendy no doubt.

Oh, and I was on amazon in the night buying a couple of orchard games and a kite for DS for our holiday. He finds games difficult but can sometimes manage very simple things and it's good for him to take turns etc. Spent about £22 I think.

WreckTangled · 18/08/2017 09:48

I hate chopping too. I have muscle wastage in my hands and get painful wrists so I really struggle!

£16 soft play and snacks Hmm

ChristmasSeacow · 18/08/2017 09:57

The peeling is worse than the chopping! I must admit I sacrifice some flesh in the interests of speed. Not frugal really Grin

needastrongone · 18/08/2017 11:29

Close your ears fluffy, but I have been known to buy ready chopped butternut squash. As I've been so lazy that the whole ones I've bought haven't been used. Bad need.

Let us know how the GP appointment went seacow, your poor DD. And you.

We've had a long and hot walk into the local village. No need to drive to any of the tourist destinations where we are as it's so lovely here. Brushed up a bit of my rusty Italian talking to some of the old men sat in the squareSmile. I have never found an Italian not willing to let you try to speak their language. Which is why I love the place so much. And the wine. And food. And scenery of course.

WreckTangled · 18/08/2017 11:49

I spent another £14 in the garden centre. Got dd Joules slippers half price ds Joules socks half price (they would have been for Christmas but the dc were with me which is annoying. They were needed though) and then got my step mum and dad some totes socks half price which will be part of their Christmas presents.

needastrongone · 18/08/2017 12:01

Any good for Christmas presents for those with 'middle' age range DC? Was thinking sunny, cag, etc. Sorry if I'm not aware of all DC ages.

Cagliostro · 18/08/2017 12:05

Whoaaa thanks for link need I think you've just found the Big Present for this year!!! Thanks

Cagliostro · 18/08/2017 12:12

Agree with chopping and peeling, like wreck it causes pain! Anything that can avoid it is good. Quite fancy one of those mini chopper things :o or just get DH to do it when he's here.

So... just got off the phone with LEA. Looks like we are going to be applying for EHCPs for the Caglets! It's the best way of potentially getting to see an educational psychologist apparently. Yikes.

OP posts:
needastrongone · 18/08/2017 12:16

Good news there cag.

I did realise it still wasn't cheap, but a vast reduction in terms of price nevertheless, for a Big present.

I'm thinking of a Fitbit for DD, so off to research deals now.

ChristmasSeacow · 18/08/2017 12:33

I'm after a Fitbit for myself Need so I'll wait till you've done all the research work Grin

Cag we are on week 32 of the statutory 20-week EHCP process Hmm. It's been a very steep learning curve so steel yourself! Hope your LA is decent, they vary a lot. Feel free to pm me if I can be any help! My number one piece of advice is to get hold of a copy of the SEN code of practice and read the EHCP bit. It's the bible that tells you how the process should work legally. If it's contrary to the SEN CoP it's not legal!

ememem84 · 18/08/2017 12:36

Swimming done. Gym was packed. So hopped in the pool instead. Free.

Stoped at Waitrose on my way back for things for dinner £24. Resisted a donut. I really wanted a donut.

I bought stuff to make haloumi humous slow wraps and patatas bravas with salad for dinner.

Fluffycloudland77 · 18/08/2017 12:41

I buy ready chopped butternut squash too. Tesco do it frozen.

£34 petrol.
£2.40 bread & chips.

ChristmasSeacow · 18/08/2017 13:03

I was bad in Tesco. I need a slap. I half expected Gregg Wallace to jump out of an aisle and start lecturing me Blush

LonelyOversharer · 18/08/2017 13:24

So funny seacow if Greg Wallace jumped out at me I'd throw tins of dog food at him. He grates on me, but presents everything all the programmes I like watching!

On a side note, Masterchef Australia has just started on watch for 2017. It knocks British masterchef into the bin. Have series linked it.

My printing is done. I've put our logo and race details onto each race number. So 520 done. Fucked up about 10 of them, and just one is upsidown. So not bad for a first go. They do look pretty cool (if I do say so myself). Only 2000 safety pins to go. Already planning t shirts for next season!

Pastry cases for tarts, flapjack and carrot cake to make tonight.

My Rollerblades have arrived, they are beautiful but it's raining. Boo hiss. Tried them out in the shop though.

Poor catface em . My silly cat had an "episode" after his boosters once, lay on the floor panting. Cats don't pant. The vet (I rushed him back) was perplexed. He was fine the next day. Catface will come out and forgive you by and by.

lifelongfrugaleer · 18/08/2017 14:08

Laksa it's fine to speak like that on here if you want. Sorry to hear about your rellies.

ememem84 · 18/08/2017 14:34

Home now. Catface has eaten some of her biscuits. She's still under "her" bed im just going to leave her to it. No doubt she'll come out when she wants to sit on the couch.

I've had a bit of a tidy up, change s the bedding and have put a wash on. Now sitting on the couch debating Netflix.

Annoyed because I bought a nice can of Diet Coke at Waitrose and now can't find it. I may have left it at dparents. Aaaah.

Have a mountain of rubbish to take out too. So will do that when I go to pick dh up from work.

lifelongfrugaleer · 18/08/2017 14:53

Sick of cscf. Hope it's bloody worth this holiday homework.

SnugglySnerd · 18/08/2017 15:33

Pleased you sort of got some sleep, Seacow. Asda do frozen chopped butternut squash. I just use that now as I hate peeling them too. It can be the difference on a busy day between cooking something healthy or getting a take away.

NSD. My mum looked after the babies for the first time this morning whole I went on a nature walk with DD. We saw the grand total of one duck!

Haircut tomorrow. Will be £30 for DD and me. Might go into town for lunch on Sunday. DD loves going to town but I can never be bothered. Will make an effort though.

Loveabaconsandwich · 18/08/2017 15:46

Spendy day-
£19 on a years leisure centre membership for DD1
Monthly Direct debit set up -£21.50 for swimming lessons
She got a discount of £4 per month by becoming a member so will save money eventually. And she gets free normal entry to the pool at other times too

£6 in local play cafe for entry. £6 on food but good to support a local business

I have a confession- I have put the tumble dryer on. Lots of heavy rain showers today and I ran out of hanging space for all the washing Blush

Hope everything is going well for meadow today.

Loveabaconsandwich · 18/08/2017 15:47

When is your interview life ?

lifelongfrugaleer · 18/08/2017 16:48

Next Wednesday. Land from holiday on Tuesday.

Probably outed myself there - meh

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 18/08/2017 16:53

Hi all, I can remember that 4 hour sleep buzz Seacow Grin if I had to cope with 4 hours now i think I would collapse!! You are doing so well although sorry to here that dd is struggling a bit, hope the dr is helpful.

My boycat did the panting thing post jabs one year Lonely it totally freaked me out, I rang the vets in a panic and they said its fairly common Confused he was fine the next day!

Had a nice day met a friend for coffee this morning, spent £3.75 on a sandwich for dd (my friend bought me a drink.) Then went into town, spent £27 in Poundland mostly on various foods and toiletries, £36 in Morrisons and £22 in Pets at Home on a ton of cat food.

I am planning on making up my own gift boxes with some of the Poundland toiletries for friends bdays, so far have got some nice soap, bubble bath, smelly candles, sparkly nail vanish and will also add a small hot sachet, marshmallows and a face pack! Thats a nice gift right? Total cost will be approx £6. Anyone with a Poundland near by they seem to have loads in there atm and quite a bit in the sale at 50p!!

needastrongone · 18/08/2017 16:56

Not outed or even have a clue Life x

ememem84 · 18/08/2017 17:37

£15 baby bouncy music vibraty chair thingy. Saw it on fb for £25. Cheeky offer and won it.

Picking it up was a nightmare though. Aaah. The road I picked up from was a dead end. Cars either side and one ass hat pulled in behind me and needed to get to his house fair enough I move forward and he pulls in right next to my car. Therefore blocking me in. I collected chair. And have sat in my car for the last 35 minutes waiting for him to finish unloading what seemed like an entires year shopping from his car. Then he pulled the car onto his drive and shouted at me for parking there nowhere else for me to go asshat!!!

I just reversed all the way down the road and out (not onto a main road). Had to dodge cars on either side. it's lucky im a good driver

The lady I picked chair up from had THE cutest baby boy ever. Such a smiler!!!!

Now waiting to pick dh up. I wasn't going to. But I'm in the car and was near to town so called him to see if he wanted a lift #bestwife
