It's always worth a try, it's a faulty product after all. It's not like your lying.

I'm cold a lot in the winter, that's how I do it!.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 19/07/2017 19:34

Yeah see thats where I go wrong, I refuse to be cold in my own home Wink being cold makes me depressed though.

Dd is out doing a school thing, going to pick her up in a mo, she is going to be knackered such a busy week for her. We had a terrific storm last night, woke dd and I up and kept us awake between 2am-3am, I ended up making us toast as felt a bit peckish Blush

Had fried eggs and wedges for tea, really yummy.

Think have managed a NSD Halo

Fab news about the dpony Need

WreckTangled · 19/07/2017 19:36

Girlie I was hungry whilst watching the storm last night too!

Tomorrow I'm going to observe at a paediatric orthoptist clinic. Should be interesting.

lifelongfrugaleer · 19/07/2017 19:52

Woolies sells food...... Gosh I need to go to Australia. Take it as a live and learn moment. I do think Aldi here is more expensive and it was decimated tonight when I went in. £19.

Cagliostro · 19/07/2017 19:54

We go past that one on the bus wreck :o it does look pretty big, I went in there once for a library thing.

Well, not such a frugal evening in the long run as DS LOVED tae kwon do! I am amazed, he joined in with every single thing, listened and tried hard, he did really well :)

WreckTangled · 19/07/2017 19:58

That's great Cag Smile

Ds won't go the f to sleep. Dh is at football training. Humph. I just want to go downstairs and eat biscuits sort my car insurance out.

Wheelycote · 19/07/2017 20:07

Wreck you must be in healthcare, are you student or qualified?

WreckTangled · 19/07/2017 20:15

Neither. I am a lowly band 3 Grin

ememem84 · 19/07/2017 20:39

Home at 7. Dh made dinner. Hot chicken sandwiches and seeet potato wedgies. Yum.

Did my bit at drinks. Spoke to everyone I needed to, met new people. Arranged a lunch for next week and a coffee.

Ate some canapés and enjoyed a sparkling elderflower drink.

Am now baking ddads birthday cake. I am tired. One more day. Then a 4 day weekend. I can do this.

Coppersulphate · 19/07/2017 20:59

Need, so glad about DPony, and you were so worried. Glad he's going to be ok.
Cag, well done to your DS.
LSD. Just sandwich and tea in Costa but will claim it back. Was in a school in big city. 10 form entry. Kids must feel totally lost after primary school.

SunnyLikeThursday · 19/07/2017 21:11

We just had our last Beavers thing before the summer holidays. Quiet for a few weeks now.

ememem84 · 19/07/2017 21:35

Cake collapsed. And split into three pieces 😩😭 I've tried to salvage it. But it looks awful.

Dh keeps telling me to do it tomorrow not sure where he thinks I'm going to find the time

I may have to buy a cake.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 19/07/2017 21:47

Em buy a cake, it sounds like you need to admit defeat, have a cuppa and early night like me

Cagliostro · 19/07/2017 21:52

But don't forget to eat the bits of cake.

DH and I tried to make ourselves a wedding cake (cheapie wedding!) and it was all wonky. We called it Failure Cake. Luckily it tasted nice so we ate it ourselves :o

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/07/2017 22:53

I tried a wedding cake too. Bought one from a cake maker in the end.

It's not as easy as it looks!.

notmrscookie · 19/07/2017 23:42

Hi to wreck and cag . another Crawley mum here .. Yes school year sizes are very big in tb andf mb and pH. Wait till secondary and it gets worse ..

Cocklodger · 20/07/2017 05:22

Here Woolworths sells only food Shock Sad
No alcohol either since Qld/Australian law means there are special shops for that but big w another part of the Woolworths chain is basically British Woolworths. Everything and anything in there. I got most of my homewares and kitchen stuff (slow cooker for $10 Shock ) in there. Great quality and cheap. They still do the pic n mixes too in mine Grin big w is often nearby a Woolworths too which is great.
I do love Woolworths and big w Smile

Wheelycote · 20/07/2017 06:27

Morning all!

WreckTangled · 20/07/2017 06:30

Last night I made my lunch for today Halo because I've got bad recently with buying it. I've got giant couscous, mint, cucumber, spring onion and feta.

ememem84 · 20/07/2017 07:10

I may go to the portuguese bakery and buy something yum. Portuguese egg custard tarts maybe??? Mmmmmm.

The cake smelled good. I just rushed in an attempt to get to bed at a reasonable time. So it cracked. The frosting in the middle melted. And it sort of slipped over.

Still tastes good. Just looks a bit Confused

I'll get some nice ice cream too. It'd be nice with ice cream. Clotted cream ice cream.

I was in bed when I wrote my last post. Then had a cry. Dh said that's the first time this whole pregnancy I've cried over something irrational. Like cake.

I had a good ish sleep. He's brought me toast with chocolate spread in bed and a tea. Catface is looking at me like "get up woman you have to go to work" she's right. I do.

So looking forward to day off tomorrow!!!!!

Wheelycote · 20/07/2017 07:13

Wreck that sounds really nice!

you've spurred me to take my own lunch today...I can make cheese salad sandwiches

and Wreck there is no such thing as a lowly band 3. If your anything like the band 3's I know, you'll do more work and have more contact than what some qualified's do. Our band 3's are amazing.

Fluffycloudland77 · 20/07/2017 07:20

Somehow I've been awarded £50 nectar points for a survey. I was expecting £20 from e rewards so I've withdrawn them.

Wheelycote · 20/07/2017 07:22

Em pleased you had a good sleep and how fab is your other half bringing you tea and toast with chocolate spread.

SnugglySnerd · 20/07/2017 07:36

Tired this morning. It's raining and I have to walk to the post office which is a decent trek from our house. Might rethink the maxi dress and flip flops!

I think Aldi has got a bit more expensive too. A lot of tins etc are the same price as anywhere else. I'm still shopping there while we are getting through so many nappies though!

needastrongone · 20/07/2017 07:50

It's hard to know where to shop these days, especially when time constrained too. I too LOVE the idea of Woolworths being still on our high street.

Yep Wheely, I have two teens. One of each, 16 and 17. Therefore my food bill is massive, I have to wash umpteen times a day, every light is on, every charger plugged in and I am a taxi service on tap. Grin I thought it got easier when they got older! Your day was very productive, well done.

I'm the same Girlie, won't be cold in my own home, unlike the hard core Fluffy

I'm loving the sound of your lunch Wrecked.

Copper Our year groups are 260 intake, I'm not sure if that's big or not? It's a rural school so some kids come from schools of less than a 100 in total.

D'pony is happily on the mend, thank you guys. He will have a few more weeks in the stable, then a month chilling in a field, then he will come back into work. Which he needs to to, the latter I mean. He's somewhat energetic.

Busy day yesterday and I'm just about to crack on today.

Spends.
£45 Farrier.
£30 energy gels.
£22 feed shop.
£18 Boots (Thrush treatment, horrible, haven't had it in years)
£8.60 prescription for my nerve pain drugs.

Did a trail race, always nice to have the finish line running up the hill that we took the DC sledging to in winter when they were little!!! I was 2nd in my age group so I'm okay with that as it was more of a training effort than full on race, with a push at the end.

Today is ironing, personal training, supermarket, dogs walked, DS picked up, DD taken to training, flop on sofa at 9pm to eat something! Who said days off are rest days. Smile
