Need they are fabulous!

LonelyOversharer · 24/06/2017 18:14

need they are seriously pretty! Just my colours.

Have placed my first qualifying bet, and the £20 free coral ones fluffy the horses are running now. Not that it should matter, unless I've done it all wrong! If I'm right I should be about £13 up. I didn't go for stupid long odds, just in case I fucked it up. I have never placed a bet in my life before!

Under a tenner in the village, but tax credit form gone. Dp and I earned embarrassingly low money last year, he was very poorly and bearly worked for half of it. I quoted 3k to the tax credit people for me, it's come out at 2.6k, so not too far out. It will be more this year as I'm getting a lot more work now. Dp is getting a kick up the arse.

£17 cba maccyd's for the dc,
£19 in asda on lollies, crackers and crisps. Healthy healthy healthy!

lifelongfrugaleer · 24/06/2017 18:16

Nice shoes.

CremeEggThief · 24/06/2017 18:20

They are amazing, Need.Envy

Hi All! Just read through the, as I haven't been on since the day of the GNR concert, a whole week ago. It was absolutely incredible; I couldn't get over just how good live they were and the energy they had. They were FAR better and more energetic than when I last saw them in 1992!Shock Life, I wish I could have run away with 'em!Grin

Congratulations Seacow.Flowers

The big news with me is that I'm moving house on Wednesday! I was offered a 2 bed house by my Housing Association a few weeks ago, so decided to take it, as we would have had to move by the time DS finished school anyway. It's in a far better location, on the edge of a town, and with much better transport links than the village we're in now. It's only 3 miles from here and about 5.5 or 6 from Durham. I'm really not in the right form for moving, as my mental health hasn't been great after an awful year so far, but it was too good an opportunity to turn down. So the plan is to move, get everything sorted and have a quiet summer after that!

It was great reading back and catching up with everyone's news. I've missed you guys.Smile

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/06/2017 18:28

That's amazing Creme! Does it have space for a dishwasher?.

lonely, scary isn't it? It felt a bit seedy to me at first.

Bargain shoes need, I couldn't walk in them!.

WreckTangled · 24/06/2017 18:28

Welcome back creme what house are you in at the moment? It'll be good to be somewhere with better transport for you.

lifelongfrugaleer · 24/06/2017 18:29

Wow crème that's big news. If it's the town in thinking of beginning with S then it's nice. Defo better buses.

CremeEggThief · 24/06/2017 18:36

I have a semi-detached 3 bedroom, which is far too big for the 2 of us. The new house is a titchy, stone-fronted 2 up, 2 down terraced miner's cottage. I love small cosy houses, but I was a bit worried this might be TOO small. At present, there's no space for a dishwasher, but long term, I could either take a cupboard out OR find out how much it would cost to put power in the brick shed/outhouse (original loo) and put the dryer or both washer and dryer in there, as it's big enough for both appliances. It also has a nice sunny court yard, instead of the massive garden here, that I have to pay a grass cutting service to cut every 3 or 4 weeks, as I can't manage it with my fatigue issues. It will make a huge difference and potentially, it could be my 'forever' home, as an assured tenancy holder.

CremeEggThief · 24/06/2017 18:38

It is, Life. 15 minutes walk to the Asda and 20 to the town centre!Grin

lifelongfrugaleer · 24/06/2017 18:59

I used to go drinking in that town. Our sixth form socials were at the football club messy times
The leisure centre is nice too, walk in pool with a wave machine.

Cagliostro · 24/06/2017 19:07

Oh yay creme that is epic news! Brilliant!

needastrongone · 24/06/2017 19:09

Wow, brill news creme, how exciting! Is your DS excited to move too? Fab stuff, just the new start you need x

lifelongfrugaleer · 24/06/2017 19:23

Oh crème do you know there is an Aldi in the town centre next to the leisure centre?

Loveabaconsandwich · 24/06/2017 19:26

Great news creme , I guess exciting but scary at the same time.

Ooooh those shoes are pretty need . I so need a social life so I can wear such pretty things!

Reading with interest on the matched betting lonely and fluffy . I read about it yesterday (finally) but it does sound a bit dull! I'd really like some extra cash though and it's tax free as betting winnings aren't taxable?

LonelyOversharer · 24/06/2017 20:30

love yes, apparently it's tax free, and does not affect tax credits or the like. I didn't mess up, and was very cautious, so £13.12 up! Very seedy, I agree. But will sign up with betfred in a bit. Is it just rinse and repeat fluffy sign up, bet to unlock free bet, use free bets, move on? Can't ask on the right thread, as I'm 2 threads in of 4 I think!

creme thats fab news! Once you're in you can relax and sort stuff out at your own pace. A big garden is useless if you can't keep control of it

Coppersulphate · 24/06/2017 20:34

Wow, Need, those shoes are so pretty. Your DD deserves them.
Crime, exciting news about your house move. Hope it goes well.
Cag., your DD is so important. Tell that bloody woman the truth.

21 items listed on eBay for sale tomorrow and a ton of old tshirts etc dumped.

Feel exhausted now although this may be more to do with the riding than anything else. Maybe I am feeling it more than I thought....

Just brushed catface. Got enough fur off of her to knit another cat. Luckily she enjoys a grooming.

That's great about the house move Creme. Sounds wonderful.

We had our street party today. Ds was involved in an epic waterbomb fight and giving it his all. Alternately determined to the mince the other team, and outraged at having been got in return. He kept going back for more though and had a great time.

I have a headache now and there is pounding music going on in the street. I definitely prefer the water fight section of the day.

Cag I understand your comment about not thinking you are anxious. People tell me that I am, and I think "No I'm not, I'm just very gentle and the rest of the world is not." Are you also very gentle?

Your situation with that other mother is very tricky. She sounds like she wants a good talking to, but it also sounds as though it would bounce back and hit you in the face if you did it. I wonder if it would be a good idea to ask for help from the rest of the group?

CremeEggThief · 24/06/2017 22:52

Thanks Sunny. Still trying to pace too, but it's very tricky when being responsible for moving house alone! You sound as if you've had a very busy couple of weeks too, so I hope you're planning some down time in too.

Cagliostro · 24/06/2017 23:01

Yes I'm not confrontational at all, I'm very passive. I'm not one to rant about friends either but this has really changed me, because I really hate what she's done to me and others. No matter what anyone says to her she will never accept it anyway, she has been bitching on twitter all day (my friend told me) so she will always have a bunch of followers who will pacify her. That used to be my job TBH, again that's why she kept me onside, because I wouldn't argue. I'll just have to accept that whatever I say will be dismissed, ranted at, twisted and tweeted! And just take comfort from the fact that the people who matter know it's all crap. :) I do just want to run away though if I'm honest, I wish I never had to see her again ever. But the girl doesn't do the other clubs we do at this place (it's just that the timings overlap) and I'd never make the Caglets give those up

ANYWAY. Had a lovely day in spite of all this!

SunnyLikeThursday · 24/06/2017 23:09

I know what you mean Creme. My pacing has totally gone out of the window for the last two weeks. I really need to get back on top of it.

Cag what you need is a home ed headmistress. If only there were such a thing.
