I've found the more we chat, the more my picture in my head of most of you changes! But if everyone was the same, this would be a very dull thread.

meadow do you mean an aerosol type suncream? Got one at the moment but think that has proved no better for DD than a cream or a pump one.

But good news meadow that you only have two exams left! So close to the end now

Flowers need so hard when you are closer and know people there. I read an article about the missing teenagers and when I got to the end (and at that point it mentioned the little 8 year old girl) I realised I was crying

Loveabaconsandwich · 23/05/2017 16:20

Sorry I meant north

Laska5772 · 23/05/2017 16:27

tuclothing.sainsburys.co.uk/p/Multicoloured-Check-Skirt/131503441-MultiColoured This is the skirt I bought at lunchtime.. nice and colourful! 50s look , I really like it . Our sainsburys had quite a few in- but i realise it maybea bit of a 'marmite' choice Smile

Laska5772 · 23/05/2017 16:29

Not as bright as looks on their website though..

Loveabaconsandwich · 23/05/2017 16:44

The other day I suddenly realised that I'd assumed everyone posting here was female, which may not actually be the case!

WreckTangled · 23/05/2017 16:46

Lonely I love it!

Suncream- we use ultrasun too. Get it on amazon and it really does last all day.

Meadow I'll fight you for em's old clothes Grin

Home now.

£20 fuel
£4.50 parking.

needastrongone · 23/05/2017 16:55

I can see you wearing that laska. I've got a Hush ruched short sleeved striped dress on todaySmile

I might have ordered some more new shoes with my treat part of our windfall, I'll post pictures when they arrive.

I'd like a concealer and new eyeshadow palette but that's it for me. I probably won't get these though.

AdoraBell · 23/05/2017 17:04

Nothing else spent today.

Couldn't believe what I was seeing last night on the news Sad

Everything crossed for your finals Meadow

Lovely dress, I wish I had a talent for dress making.

I have an almost new bra that I can't wear. Forgot about Triumph's sizing and ordered a 34B, but it's more like a 32. If anyone is interested let me know. It's black and padded, I've worn it once.

WreckTangled · 23/05/2017 17:18

Back to sun cream as I've just read your post properly love dd gets eczema too and this cream doesn't irritate at all. You're unlikely to get a sun cream on prescription these days unless she has it very severely. We do only use factor 30 but it's so good. Dd also burns so easily and when I remember to put it on this one has meant she doesn't even get slight tan lines even when we only apply it before school in the morning.

ememem84 · 23/05/2017 17:38

meadow Here you go. I'm just sat in the car at present. But if it's just so you can see the colour this should do. I think it's from Oasis...

In the spirit of being frugal I'll stress I don't want any cash for skirt. Happy to just pop it in the post. You know, do something nice make someone else happy etc.

Busy afternoon here. Filling in tax forms for clients. Sigh.

Just moved the car so I can meet dh and got far far too over excited because the circus is here!!! It's a human only circus. But it's here. Trying to persuade dh he desperately wants to go he doesn't but I'm dying to go. Super want to see flippy acrobats and eat candy floss!!!!

ememem84 · 23/05/2017 17:39

laksa oooh I love that skirt. Looks lovely and comfy and swooshy.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 23/05/2017 17:50

This is one of the tops I picked up in Sainsburys sale holiday top am relying on it being nice and sunny next week now!!

Dd did well at sports day came 3rd in two races, she is chilling out now as has football later!!

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 23/05/2017 17:52

Oh and annoyingly the coat I got for dd is too small so will have to go back, its the largest kids size they do age 11-12yo. Will try Asda next I think...

needastrongone · 23/05/2017 18:03

Girlie, I love that sun dress. It's gorgeous and Laska's flouncy skirt. Both speak of sun and summer

Laska5772 · 23/05/2017 19:35

Right.. I have decided that its almost officially summer! I have just washed my 3 winter wool/cashmere jumpers to be put away..

I havent changed the duvet yet to a lighter weight one yet , but am going to wash the heavy cotton velvet quilt we have as a bedcover next warm day , (we dont have a TD) That will go away then also and the lightweight indian cotton bed cover will come out instead..

That was a very interesting post wasnt it? HmmGrin

Laska5772 · 23/05/2017 19:50

girlie nice top.. I didnt see that one in our sainsburys .. I may go back tomorrow to get a plain green cami top £3!) I saw which goes with the skirt.. I am also really pleased with theTU bra btw and onoy £6!..
They have some nice undies, a PJ short sets and also a couple of 'nighties' which I think are good enough to use as beach dresses ;

I liked thisPJ set.as a beach top ? and this as a beach dress? and also this one
I may try on the short pjs as I like the orange top.. but wont be buying the other two as have loads of beach stuff

P1nkP0ppy · 23/05/2017 19:54

Delurking to say I love that dress Lonely, it's years and years since I did any dressmaking; there just aren't the fabric shops around to browse in anymore ☹️ I still have my sewing machine so perhaps I should make more of an effort!
I'm probably older than many of you on here, silver haired and retired -another GNetter who finds MN more thought-provoking 😊
I've been shopping over clothes and am dismayed to find they've all mysteriously 'shrunk' since last autumn nothing to do with me eating too much, never! As for bra sizes...........☹️

P1nkP0ppy · 23/05/2017 19:55

*swopping not shopping for goodness sake

Laska5772 · 23/05/2017 19:59

Oh Em I meant to say.. I love the markets in St Helier..(esp the fish market) The trouble is everytime weve been over so far , we have stayed in hotels so havent been able to take advantage of them .. Next time perhaps we will have a campervan to bring over!

Laska5772 · 23/05/2017 20:01
