Welcome, Daphne.

That is annoying Laska, agree you should cancel.

Hope it goes well tomorrow Copper. 8 hours is a long time. The doctors and nurses will look after him.

NSD. Hooray!

Laska5772 · 04/06/2017 15:39

Oh I am going , just ranting and was dissapointed as we were going to lovely Italian place to eat and I was really looking forward to it. She is a good friend and only bought the tickets on Friday because i agreed to go , she cant afford to lose out on my ticket..

She does have form for the sudden overindulgence of drink on a warm lunchtime though!! ...

Christmas hope the in next couple of days things improve. they wouldnt have sent you home if they were really concerned

copper my DGS is 4 also .. I could hardly bear the thought (in the event of it needed, ) of him going though surgery.. Your poor family. I know Ive already given you MN Flowers but have some more.. In my thoughts

Welcome weldme no experience of buying meat on line, my favourite trick is to be at discount counter in sainsburys or co op at 5pm when they discount it more!

Laska5772 · 04/06/2017 15:41

Mrs Mozart Puppies ( how exciting) can we have a photo? Possibly new sofa and puppies constitute a brave mad combination though? Grin

Cagliostro · 04/06/2017 15:42

I could get a taxi back from our station which I often do anyway but the rest is pretty unavoidable really.

Just spoke to DH, he had the same idea which was to meet us part way or come all the way here tomorrow (normally about 2hrs) so as to help me get back. Or he suggested coming tonight after work if we leave the front door ajar for him.

He then realised he doesn't have his keys... he normally runs home on Sundays so doesn't carry anything, and of course the plan was that I'd be home long before then! Fuck.

Going to look up train times, he finishes at 10 so could perhaps be here by 1ish and sneak in so we can all go home tomorrow.

I may feel better if I can stand up long enough to shower! Fucksake. I'm feeling a bit pathetic and sorry for myself now.

MrsMozart · 04/06/2017 16:01

Laska Absolutley barking mad idea! And they're Rottweiler pups, so probably an even dafter idea (size of mouths lol).

WreckTangled · 04/06/2017 16:12

Made cookies from stuff I already had in.

ememem84 · 04/06/2017 16:36

cag at least you don't have to go home so kids can get to school tomorrow. Take it easy you

Met dsis for gelato. Mmm. But £6.50 for two cones!!! but with sugar sprinkle cones with sprinkles on top and "sssssh" cream

Now home contemplating a wardrobe full or at least a pack away.

Before I go back to work after baby I'm going to try and take him to Exeter to visit his great grandma. While there I'll hit primark H&M etc for new clothes. Dm has said she'll come with me. We're hoping that dparents take the car over, we can then fly with baby boy and anything we buy they can bring back in the car sneaky

Cagliostro · 04/06/2017 16:52

Indeed em! Would be screwed if I had to do that.

Have managed a shower. Although I did try washing my legs with shampoo :o Blush

Anyway we are staying another night and DH is travelling here tonight. A kind colleague who lives over this way offered him a lift all the way to Croydon Thanks so he can just get the bus from there and will get here earlier than waiting for the train.

SunnyLikeThursday · 04/06/2017 16:55

Em Since ds arrived we always send our luggage by courier when we travel, if that's any help. I'm not sure of costs to Jersey but it's very cheap within mainland UK. Costs about £12 for 30kg.

SunnyLikeThursday · 04/06/2017 16:55

We use this website: www.parcel2go.com/

ememem84 · 04/06/2017 17:13

That's a great idea sunny our airport post office do a similar deal mostly used by students going back and forth - from memory it was around £14 for 25kg. So similar ish...

Dparents go back and forth every couple of months of so, so for the first trip we'll use their car for excess baggage!! They have a big car and it'll only be the 2 of them - plenty of room!!

Have just packed up baby things into a box and popped under the bed.

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/06/2017 18:11

Spendy but good weekend away. Not as spendy as I thought as I can't decide between some sandals.

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/06/2017 18:16

These in navy?

WreckTangled · 04/06/2017 18:24

First ones in tan. I like the straps on the second ones but not the material of the sole.

FizzyOrange · 04/06/2017 18:31

copper thinking of you and your DGS tomorrow Flowers

AdoraBell · 04/06/2017 18:42

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 04/06/2017 20:23

Grin Adora

Good luck for your dgs Copper will be thinking of him.

Another work day for me today, was weirdly quiet for a change Confused gave me chance to catch up though.

Just spent £19 on Amazon on some caterpillars for dd and some more seeds for me, God knows where I will fit any more plants though!

Can't actually believe there was another terrorist attack, wtaf is wrong with the people that do this? Found out this afternoon that my brother was in London last night, he had been on London bridge 30 mins before the attack took place. Had forgotten he was in London with his mates this wend which is just as well really otherwise would have been worried sick, he had trouble getting home as apparently as all the trains were mucked up. Am watching the Manchester concert now.

SunnyLikeThursday · 04/06/2017 20:35

Eeep! Girlie that was a bit close. Glad he's okay.

Is anybody else a bit struck-dumb by Theresa May saying "Enough is enough" today? Is she saying it was all good clean fun up to now? FFS.

Fluffycloudland77 · 04/06/2017 20:37

Ooh bonus photo of teddy.

£26 petrol
£4 bread & dishwasher stuff.

I haven't done bulk buying meats but it's worth investigating, my local butchers is roughly similar in price to Aldi. It's not tumbled in water either so you're getting more meat.

AdoraBell · 04/06/2017 20:39

😆 Blush

Everything crossed for your DGS Copper

Those cookies look lush, and I vote for the first sandals in tan.

Girlie glad your DB got home safe, if a lot later than planned.

LonelyOversharer · 04/06/2017 21:24

We had a super day, went to the beach! Up into Dumfries, and properly warm and sunny. Dp marched us across the estuary beach, and we all got a bit stuck in the mud. It was pretty scary as me and dd1 were in up to our knees (heaviest!) and then we got hysterical giggles and couldn't move for laughing. Needless to say we all survived (dd's sketchers didn't, even if they wash up ok, they'll never be white again).

On the way back I fell into Gap. The whole shop was 40-50% off (outlet) so my receipt says £150, total saving £117. Not frugal. But, 2x shorts for dp, jeans, shorts snd 2 vests for me, jeans and vest for dd1, maxi jersey dress for dd2, tshirt and cool flamingo leggings for dd3, shorts and t for ds. That will do us for summer clothes this year. Execpt my jeans come off without undoing them. So need a size smaller, and I detagged them first, doh! I won't stay small long though, food always wins!

We had a costa £6 and got the kids iced drinks from maccy d's £9. Homemade fried chicken (better than kfc) for tea, so all in all a fab day. Back to school (yay!) tomorrow, so lunch bags to find, cakes to make, alarm to set!

Will be thinking of you and your dgs tomorrow copper

Glad all is ok seacow a good strong heartbeat is so reassuring. Is dd lining herself up ready? Mine always moved less as they went down into my pelvis. Was ds a bit early?
