Gah. Need a moan.

My hospital appointment is a gastric emptying study. I had to eat this food and gagged with every mouthful because I hate egg. Then I had to sit with my chest against a radiography machine for 90 minutes but my stomach still isn't empty enough so I have to go back at 12 and then maybe again at 2. Could have a little cry but I won't. I'm just sitting in the sun for ten minutes before I have to go back.

Oh wreck Poor you , hospital visits are bad enough but that is so grim... Flowers

Id be there all day and the next I reckon .. im pretty sure i have the slowest metabolic rate in the world ( but you dont need that information)

FizzyOrange · 02/06/2017 12:23

Wreck oh dear, poor you, I understand as I don't eat eggs either. I hope it is over for you soon Flowers

WreckTangled · 02/06/2017 12:28

Nope I have to go back at two. Currently sitting in macdonalds as my friend is buying us all lunch, only I can't eat or drink anything 😩😩😩

Fluffycloudland77 · 02/06/2017 12:53

That's crap wreck I'd want a moan about that too.

Cag, it's possible that your on an imperial meter & they are taking the readings as metric. If they are doing that you will have sky high bills & you will need them to recalculate all your bills. The meter belongs to the current supplier so it looks like bg don't want imperial meters. British Gas was in the news years ago after overcharging an elderly couple for years before they realised what was amiss.

Interesting. I bloody hope they have fucked up & you get a big refund.

I was thinking about surveys driving home. It's best to register for the ones listed on the save the student website & see which site suits you most. You can load gfk internet monitoring onto your laptop etc to earn vouchers, they send the odd survey too.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 02/06/2017 13:05

I'm still catching up, you lot talk too much Grin am up to page 20!!

Creme hope your foot is feeling better.

Em I mix fed dd and def found that to be the best of both worlds, whats hard to predict though is how you will feel once the baby is born, pregnancy and birth hormones can do all sorts to you!!

Have been quite productive this morning, have sorted car insurance for £100 less than my current supplier quoted pleased with that.

Am waiting for a call back from Scottish Power to see if they can come up with a better deal and if not will change suppliers this afternoon.

Weather is being weird, not really raining but not really dry either Confused

Wreck that sounds seriously grim, I would def be crying. Can you treat yourself to something yummy once the test is over?

Laska haven't got to the bit in the thread that explains your poor face, hope you are o.kay Flowers

Thanks fluffy sadly it's something we can do nothing about. Basically our house has storage heaters and the meter takes separate readings - one for the heating and then one for all other electric use.

They can see that we literally haven't even switched on said storage heaters for years (they are useless). But they still can't change the dual tarrif we are on.

The only way we can change it is to get the storage heaters removed. But we have asked the landlords before and they still won't. So we are stuck. We can save a little bit when I get the warmwise discount (I can do that by providing proof of my PIP award). So it won't be too bad, but compared to how much we were going to save it's a bit shit really.

Hope you're ok wreck that sounds miserable. Thanks

Fluffycloudland77 · 02/06/2017 17:05

Oh bugger. Storage rads.

So what you really need is a new house Sad

CremeEggThief · 02/06/2017 17:18

NSD.

Girlie, glad you had a good holiday. My practice nurse at my GP couldn't feel anything when I went in on Wednesday, but has asked me to come back on Monday, so fingers crossed.

allthebestplease · 02/06/2017 17:22

Went to the out door swimming pools today, took a pack lunch so only spent on ice cream.
£6 on socks for dd, how dare her feet grow.
£3 bubble gun and bubble mixture.
£6 flip flops for dd she insisted they were comfy (they won't be and no doubt will be a waste of money).
I am getting very good now at being out and not buying 'stuff' for me/house. Whereas before I'd easily spend x amount and not think twice.

I hang clothes in doorways too.

Cagliostro · 02/06/2017 17:32

Hit the nail on the head there fluffy :o

If we hadn't been moved up to band A, I would be panicking a bit TBH. But going by our positions on the bidding lists each week we could be moving in about a year, so we will just hang in there :) and really look forward to potentially better heating in our next house!

ememem84 · 02/06/2017 17:32

lonely dm despairs at me too. I don't iron dhs shirts (or Iron much actually), I do four loads of washing - darks whites bedding and towels. None of this jeans, blue, red, blah blah.

Spends today £27 pedicure. Yay. I'd filled my loyalty card so got 25% off. Yay!

Oh and £9 on pizza and garlic bread for dinner #healthy

Got annoyed twice today at work. One colleague is insistent on calling baby boy a parasite. She keeps doing it. It got too much today so I told her not to. It's not funny. She tried to explain that scientifically technically she's right with the definition but I don't care. He is not a parasite. Grrr.

And the boss started on at me for not doing something he'd asked someone else to do. The someone else is new is a senior manager and doesn't seem to do much. He has been given my busiest client to deal with (fine by me it took up waaaay too much of my time) but isn't doing the work. Boss asked why I hadn't done something. I pointed out I hadn't been asked to by either of them and knew nothing about it. Aaah. Honestly.

On the plus side, cute outfit today. Knee length Breton striped skirt (maternity one) blue cami and denim shirt (sleeves rolled up). Flip flops. Toes have been painted red/orange. Yay!

ememem84 · 02/06/2017 17:36

Oh. And. I realised this morning that the song by Anne Marie "Ciao Adios" has the lyrics "Ciao adios im done" not "shower the horse I'm done"

Hopefully link below. But you'll never be able to unhear shower the horse. I thought maybe "shower the horse I'm done" was some badly translated Spanish phrase....

ememem84 · 02/06/2017 17:38

Also watch out for the tree goats in the video. They blew my mind when I was in morocco a few years ago. I'd seen pictures but didn't believe they were real. True story. They're real.

Cagliostro · 02/06/2017 17:44

Nice wander round town with mum and the Caglets today. DD picked up her new ballroom shoes, she's gone up 2 whole sizes in 15 months!!! No wonder her old pair were digging in! Blush Nearly £50, thankfully my ballroom-enthusiast dad loves to buy them for her as her birthday present (he actually met my mum at ballroom classes, and his parents met the same way, so it's something of a family tradition and they are thrilled to see her enjoying lessons).

Also DS ended up getting his early birthday present from mum. Build a bear are now doing Transformers - his biggest obsession - and mum suggested getting it today instead of waiting as the bears sometimes sell out fast in there. So he is happy snuggling his Bumblebee.

Also DD chose some clothes with her birthday money and I got them a cheap extra swimming costume each for our holiday next month. And I bought my first piece of proper maternity clothing :) a tunic from H&M with a sort of modesty bit for nursing :) yay!

Random other spends too, goodness knows how much! Got a friend coming over today for games.

Cagliostro · 02/06/2017 17:45

Parasite? Oh fuck off. Colleague not you obviously. Some people are just knobs and think that sort of talk is clever and funny. They're wrong :o

Misheard lyrics - my mum insisted for ages that Lady Gaga sang "cherry pie, cherry pie, no he can't read my poker face"

AuditAngel · 02/06/2017 18:06

£51.50 in Sanisbuty's never take DH to supermarket thank God I took him to the little Sainsburys not big Tesco!

Petrol, sandwich and 2 drinks, not sure but can claim back petrol. My expenses went in today £213.

Gas/electric DD goes up next month not this. But that will mean more to pay to move. I have submitted cash back medical claims. £260 for me,

ememem84 · 02/06/2017 18:07

cag that's essentially what I said. But in a more professional manner.

My other misheard lyric was daft punk get lucky. There's a line in it which when it goes a bit robotic sounds like "what makes a Mexican lucky" but it's "we're up all night to get lucky"

Thanks everyone. Feeling better after a lie down, some pain killers and something to eat. Had the worst headache. I had a pot noodle and two slices of buttery toast for dinner Grin

Em what a twat.

I have been reading but have forgotten most of it sorry Blush our friends can't come to Barcelona now which is shit. So need to cancel their flights and hotel room.

ememem84 · 02/06/2017 18:55

Oooh pot noodle.

thewaitresses · 02/06/2017 19:11

Love pot noodle (guilty pleasure) often go for a posh bento one to feel more justified but recently went straight for the chicken&mushroom PN! Wreck how do you manage your diabetes when having so little food? (Hope I'm correct in remembering you're diabetic).

£3.60 on two tea and chocolate bars after a very long walk - our afternoon entertainment, so although strictly speaking 'eating out' we took a picnic and drinks for our main walk

WreckTangled · 02/06/2017 19:16

Yes waitress I have a pump so no need to ensure frequent eating Smile

SnugglySnerd · 02/06/2017 19:33

Finally found a minute to check in. Will try and catch up properly in a bit. This week's been crazy hectic!

Not too spendy. Did big shops in supermarket and Pets at Home but stuff that should keep us going for a while.

Have just downloaded a couple of the shopping apps like Click snap so hoping to make some savings with them.
