Oh no, I always leave washing out for days overnight. Is this bad?? I then tumble for 30 minutes to kill beasties and fluff up stiff towels.

Our last chick has just enexpectedly hatched. I can turn the incubator off now! Will slip it under mummy hen while she sleeps.

AuditAngel · 01/06/2017 22:11

Hi all, £9.85 in M&S on lunch (and not much more)

I went mad and bought loads more kindle books I might have spent another £44

AuditAngel · 01/06/2017 22:26

Tomorrow I have a half day to take DH to his pre-op assessment before knee surgery on Tuesday.unfortunately I have to send DD1 swimming after sports club (due to pre op assessment clashing) and mum and DSis having a funeral to attend. Will then take ZDS to badminton and visit the wake.

Will give DD1 £5 for swimming plus extra drink.

ChristmasSeacow · 01/06/2017 22:35

Love the cardi and the quilt Lonely! I also really like the way the quilt is shaded across from the sun corner. I hope it was well received, I'd be thrilled to be given something so lovely for a DC.

Laska I know I'm having a girl so no guessing on this one! I am nearly 37 weeks so not long to go, then there is a 3m ish gap then Em then Cag. I think.

Coppersulphate · 01/06/2017 22:41

Lonely, that cardi is astonishing. And the quilt. I would love to make either of those and would be so pleased with myself, so I hope you are pleased. I knit and sew reasonably well. But you are in another league.
Em lovely meal on the beach ......calm before the storm. Enjoy.
Sunny, I tried geocaching with a friend last year when we were abroad, but I was useless, so well done.

CremeEggThief · 01/06/2017 22:54

Beautiful, Lonely.

Welcome more newbies! ☺

Spends: too much! The best part of £50.

ememem84 · 02/06/2017 06:46

seacow yep you're right. It's like baby central round here...I hope you're ok in the heat. I'm not looking forward to July/August. Though baby boy seemed to enjoy his time on the beach yesterday - wiggling about etc. It's ages away for us yet but I can't wait to meet him! Eeeeek! I bet yours feels like ages away too but in theory could it be any day now? know nothing about babies

Treating myself to a pedicure today. Yay!!

Woke up early this morning (around 6 - catface was by the side of the bed just waiting and staring...creepy). So she's been fed and watered, have to put washing away and have a quick spruce up before viewings today. And then we're done.

ememem84 · 02/06/2017 06:47

lonely washing shouldn't ever be left outside at nighttime. It will get darked. you'll have to re-wash. Spider bums have been on it. 😉😂😭🕷🕷🍑🍑

lifelongfrugaleer · 02/06/2017 06:59

Not to mention all the other mischief nocturnal creatures get up to in your washing at night........

Laska5772 · 02/06/2017 07:05

Ive never heard of darked! Is it from a kids story?

Laska5772 · 02/06/2017 07:19

Ah. Now i see... Grin

WreckTangled · 02/06/2017 07:48

Hospital appointment today. I'm nil by mouth. Dh didn't realise and made me coffee

Will be nsd as nothing to spend!

Iris65 · 02/06/2017 07:49

Thanks fluffy will have a look at profit accumulator.co.uk or oddsmonkey.co.uk
I am 52 and have major health problems so may find it very difficult to find another teaching job. I can't claim JSA or UC either as I live with my DP who is employed.

Fluffycloudland77 · 02/06/2017 08:17

We have no tumble drier so washing goes out overnight & is usually dry by 10am. Plus there's no dashing out to get it in because my ndn has lit their filthy gas BBQ. 🙄

Iris I'm still getting my head round it but it does work. It's a bit boring if I'm honest. But tax free cash is always welcome. Dh would love to leave his job but he's 52 as well & you do worry no one will want you despite retirement now being 70. There's several threads in money matters on here about it.

Laska5772 · 02/06/2017 08:24

Hi welcome iris Smile

Laska5772 · 02/06/2017 08:30

Feeling much more like myself today , albeit a highly colourful version . Face still pretty sore though . Hopefully that will have faded somewhat before have to face the voters in poll station next week.. they are chatty lot and know me as ive done this one so many times
Ill probably have to explain what happened 1000+ times!!

Laska5772 · 02/06/2017 08:34

Oh no wreck i am totally not nice to know without gallons of coffee in tje morning.. hope it goes well today

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 02/06/2017 08:45

I like my washing getting darked on always hang it out at night as can't be doing with getting up early to do it before work its not rained and the washing is almost dry. Am sat in my garden enjoying a morning cuppa admiring all my flowers Grin

Plan today is to catch up at home, the whole house needs a hoover and I have a few little jobs to do in the garden, in theory shouldn't need to spend any money....

Cagliostro · 02/06/2017 09:47

I mentioned a few weeks ago that we had finally switched electricity supplier. Well it's all gone wrong and very weird! The new supplier (British gas) said they can't take over because our meter is too old. They also said it's likely we are being massively overcharged because of said meter. Eh?! DH is phoning EDF today before work.

The Caglets and I are at mum's, off to town today for a mooch around. Mum gave me some money for DD's birthday (she was going to get her ears pierced but has decided against it) so we may choose some summery clothes with it.

ChristmasSeacow · 02/06/2017 09:54

Heat isn't too bad Em it's the humidity that is unpleasant! It will be nice not to be pregnant in August but I was last time (DS was end Sept) and it wasn't too bad. Worst bit was commuting on the underground, especially as the olympics was on.

I think from 37 weeks you are considered full term so could pop any time. I don't feel I am about to pop yet but it does feel 'soon'.

Just at the hospital waiting for my last growth scan. Obstetric appointment next week to discuss induction etc.

I am most nervous about how DS is going to take it all!

I love that ' darked on' thread, I lol'd a lot at the time.

FizzyOrange · 02/06/2017 10:08

Morning everyone Smile

I don't have a tumble drier and tend to dry my washing over an airer in the bathroom. I hang shirts and tops on hangers in doorways - not very tidy. I prefer to dry in the garden as then it is 'done' and can be put away. With the airer method I am always surrounded by washing.

Loveabaconsandwich · 02/06/2017 10:21

Welcome iris

For all the newbies, have you considered online surveys? You have to have a lot of tolerance for dull, repetitive surveys and sometimes you get screened out. Fluffy (I think) and I both do valued opinions surveys and I get about £30 in gift vouchers per month for things like sainsburys, Amazon, M&s

Spent £28 in sainsburys. Hosting a family BBQ tomorrow. £4 money off voucher and £30 of nectar points used. I doubt that will be enough to last until Tuesday and will shop again Sunday

laska glad to hear you are on the mend. And anyway your sickness absences won't matter if you retire soon Grin

I never considered leaving my washing out overnight but I'm not exactly a risk taker and that thread does make it sound scary

LonelyOversharer · 02/06/2017 11:04

Have just read the "darked on" thread. Very funny. My mum would never, ever leave washing out overnight. She simply doesn't understand where she went wrong with me, and decided that she really can't come to my house anymore!! My 2 loads of mixed laundry, randomly pegged, got darked on and rained on last night, so is out for another day now.

Two of my dc are still asleep!

Laska5772 · 02/06/2017 11:20

I loved the 'darked on' thread also.. we dont have a dryer either I hang mine up in the conservatory and it often stays there a few days ( must go and retrieve some now) .. will check for spiders . I found a huge one in a shoe yesterday Shock.

Then I am thinking of braving the co op.. I actually do have enough in to make a curry , but do need milk and wine and to go to the post office .. Im a bit scared to go out , because I know im going to get stared at.. thats mad isnt it? Gawd sakes.. And i'm a grown woman who works on building sites a lot

Boden linen shirt just came on back order.. so thats £41..on credit card just paid off. I do pay card bits off now as soon as I know im going to keep them,, saves nasty end of month surprises , and also then i always know what I have in bank account. Credit card used to be my nemesis.... I have reformed (somewhat) and always pay it off every month ..

Cant believe that my cute June baby boy is 27 today !! ( he still is 'cute' baby boy of course , but is now a huge beardy long-haired Viking type !!Grin .)
