Lonely did you ever show us the cardi you knitted to go with your christening dress? I don't recall seeing it but might have missed it.

I don't knit myself garments as i don't feel confident about stuff fitting. But I love knitting kid stuff and blankets and random Christmas decorations. I miss knitting (gave it up since being pregnant as it makes my hands worse), I will be happy to start again when I get my body back!

Hello banana and fizzy this is a great place for frugal tips (don't let need or laksa enable you....)

Loveabaconsandwich · 01/06/2017 19:46

Welcome fizzy and banana

About £5 spent various cards
£3 Poundland
£3.20 lunch

Spent the afternoon at work glued to a spreadsheet. Wish I'd been at home with the DC (and DP) Sad

House selling buying /selling em is just the worse thing ever.

Can't remember much else from the thread although I have read it!

Laska5772 · 01/06/2017 20:16

Christsmas , I hated being preganant in hot weather and feet really swelled up , ( My Ds is 27 tomorrow!) Youre nearly there now arent you? Or is it cag (or both of you? ) .. exciting times.. have we predicted what your baby is yet? I think we did cags and I know we did ems

Em that looks so lovely.. St Ouen? ( and so does the Thai what a great idea.. make the most of it before baby) I havent ventured out yet (apart from driving quickly down to village yesterday to post card and possibly whacking car Sad) . but we had a lot of left overs from last weekend for me to eat .. but will have to put brave face on (and sunglasses) for the Co op tomorrow to get some food as DH will be back home..

So glad i took rest of week off.. I have been asleep again most of afternoon... . its taken it out of me.. .Lots of nice calls and messages today though .. In some ways it made me blub even more ..

Most of my colleagues are great btw , but they do like a good ribbing opportunity though.. Only one total dickhead (who unfortunately sits opposite me) and he doesnt like me because i called him out for being abusive to me a while ago and he had to apoligise to me in front of boss.. Its ok, I can cope with him ignoring me and being contemptious , but i just couldnt face it today when feeling down ..

lonely i get a lot of basic Ts and Vests in H&M and they are fine .. we dont have Primark here ,

I need to do my YNAB but maybe in the morning . its usually pretty much the same each month anyway.

christmas our Honda (Civic Tourer) is now about 2 yrs old and weve had it a year ..but hadnt had a bash so far.. its metallic red so matching will be expensive.. We will get it done though I think.. nasty scape on back corner.. looks like I hit a low wall . But disturbing that i cant recall doing it ..

WreckTangled · 01/06/2017 20:29

Oh laska you really don't sound yourself I'm pleased you're not going back into work this week. Take care Flowers

ememem84 · 01/06/2017 20:35

laksa nope out east in st clement. Access to the "west" is closed this evening there's a motoring festival and they're doing road sprints tonight. Not my thing but apparently tonnes of people are going down.

Take care of yourself

Laska5772 · 01/06/2017 20:43

Great road for It Em I must come back soon..

velocitygir1 · 01/06/2017 20:49

I'm back-I really need a kick up the arse! I am totally a shopaholic.

I'm here with my tail between my legs!

LonelyOversharer · 01/06/2017 20:51

seacow here's my cardi. I didn't wear it as it was sooo hot, but I love it anyway, it's very asymmetrical, a lovely silk/alpaca mix, so drapey. Plus would look much better over a dress, not scubby jeans and T.

Also a pic of the finished quilt outs self to sister

Yesterday I spent £14 ish at Look Fantastic on some Clinique sonic cleanser .. (with excellent quidco discount and a voucher) I do recommend LF for beauty stuff

and Its the 1st so the usual bills wil have gone out .

Laska5772 · 01/06/2017 20:59

That quilt is so cool .. (and cardi also )

WreckTangled · 01/06/2017 20:59

That quilt is awesome! You're so talented. Love the cardi too.

Iris65 · 01/06/2017 21:02

Just been made redundant so I need to up my game as a frugaleer. Dabbled in the past, need to get serious now!

Iris65 · 01/06/2017 21:06

Spends today: £0.00 as I stayed at home.
Spends yesterday: £8.10 on breakfast, cross stitch kit £28.70, dinner with friends £13.00.
Told DP I can only eat out once a week (we don't drink/go to cinema or pay for other entertainment)
Switched to tap water when eating out, having stopped drinking alcohol five weeks ago for health and money reasons.

Iris65 · 01/06/2017 21:08

But I did only eat half of the £13 meal and brought the other half home and had it for lunch today!

FizzyOrange · 01/06/2017 21:15

Lonely wow! you made both of those? they are lovely. I love knitting but I am very slow, too slow to make anything for myself!

Fluffycloudland77 · 01/06/2017 21:22

Iris I am so sorry, that's awful. Have a look on profit accumulator.co.uk or oddsmonkey.co.uk & see if you like the sound of matched betting. It could tide you over.

Lonely They're both lovely. You are clever to do that.

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/06/2017 21:27

Hello
£63 sainsbury, £8.40 MCD for DC on way home. Not as spendy as thought

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 01/06/2017 21:28

Hello all, we are back Smile not had chance to catch up with the thread yet, hope you are all well.

We have had a lovely time, was a shame to leave today as weather was beautiful. Have hung two lots of washing out on the line and am now having a minor tantrum as its apparently meant to rain in the early hours Hmm on a scale of 1 to 10 how mad would it be to get up in the middle of the night to bring it in?? Grin

Think have spent about £80 in total while we were away, God knows what on Confused ice creams mostly I think Blush cattery was £72 and spent another £20 today on some food. That said the holiday was free as the caravan belongs to some family friends so not too bad.... oh and about £40 petrol.

The cats are still sulking about being left at the cattery but according to the lady looking after them they have been good as gold all week.

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/06/2017 21:28

Lonely they are both lovely.

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/06/2017 21:30

Oh girlie. It will get darked on!! It's a bit crazy getting up on the middle of the night. What about until you go to bed then overnight on an airer

thewaitresses · 01/06/2017 21:33

Wow lonely! I love how the colours in the quilt fade from light to dark 💙!

£5 beach parking. £50 our share of dinner out (eating out again 🙈).

I've started a spends tracker on my phone. Let's see how this month pans out.

ememem84 · 01/06/2017 22:01

girlie donr leave washing out it will get darked. (And spiders will rub their bums on it so you'll have to rewash)

mammymammyIRL · 01/06/2017 22:01

Place marking - have read but I'm tired so not going to catch up with everyone.

I went back to work today after a week off with d&v & I feel good. Ran 6.4km with my old running buddy this evening & did well.

Off on our first big camping holiday tomo 3 nights at a country music festival 🎶 ⛺️ GrinWine will be late evening when we get there
