Laska, I hope you are feeling a bit better. We need a pic of your nose please!
Love the dress though and Needs' blue shoes.
NSD because DP paid for 2 water butts in B&Q. I have 2 but they are not enough and I am on a water meter. So I am trying to keep my water bills down.

Laska5772 · 31/05/2017 20:56

lonely Sorry for bring back bad memories ! We are out on the far west of the island.. here be dragons! Its strange how many people who live here tell me that they have never been out this far!! It is beautiful though..

Laska5772 · 31/05/2017 20:57

Copper there is no wide lens on my phone camera!! Grin.. ill see what it is like tomorrow!

ememem84 · 31/05/2017 21:02

No laksa no rights to vote in the GE here.

Am ignoring all the election coverage. Can't vote not interested. I know the result may affect us here (which makes it even more infuriating that we can't vote)

AuditAngel · 31/05/2017 21:16

Today has unexpectedly been NSD. Collected DH's toothbrush (he normally gets a bottle of brandy or clothes -he never buys for himself) tried to buy Aqueous cream but they had none (seems to be an ongoing problem)

Took DH to MRI scan, girls to karate but it was cancelled.

mammymammyIRL · 31/05/2017 21:41

So today will result in spendiness as DD has tried a new gym club and she is happy to switch, the one she is leaving is the main place she has to see the girl who has been bullying her. It's been a hard decision and I left it up to her but she's getting so anxious about going each week and what's the point? I would normally say it's like letting the bully win but actually she will be unhappy that DD is going - DD is her 'best friend' (because she has been so nasty to everyone else that she has no other friends) and she actually loves seeing DD there, she is just incapable of being kind and gets really possessive and jealous and nasty if DD so much as looks at any of her other friends Hmm sooo fuck it why should she put up with that? Why should this girl get to use her as an emotional punchbag every week and have NO consequence for it (there is never any no matter what we and other families do - this girl is sneaky).

Anyway, she loves the new class, it's much smaller and they will push her a bit more so she can do badges etc. She also got to try acrobatics for the first time and basically now she will be doing an hour of gym then an hour of acrobatics. It's a nice journey that is actually quicker than to her current class (bus uses country lanes). She came out beaming so I can't complain.

I still don't know if we've done the right thing really. Parenting is HARD. Rant over Blush

Cagliostro · 31/05/2017 21:58

She will be unhappy that DD is leaving I mean.

needastrongone · 31/05/2017 22:00

Laska, I'm not sure about the returns as the shop is in Leeds and I have always taken stuff back there as we are not to far away. Definitely not narrow though as my feet are on the wide side. Ha, great minds, I bought the pink but will exchange for the orange, although it's much less orange in RL than on the website as I've seen them in the shop.

We have plenty of water butts too Copper, very useful for garden stuff and to keep the water bills down.

needastrongone · 31/05/2017 22:07

You've done the right thing Cag, you really have. There's really no sense in making your DD unhappy. It's not letting the bully win, it's protecting your DD and that's more important.

LonelyOversharer · 31/05/2017 22:23

laska no worries, they were just certifiable! The mil walked round the house in lacy black undies all the time "I'm just changing, and dh loves to see me like this" then she'd giggle; the pil wore a 70's short dressing gown and when he sat down you could always see his tackle. He knew this and always had a half smirk! Honestly I though it was just a trial for my first visit, but this went on for years. To be fair its amazing my ex was as sane as he was - which wasn't much. And red flags everywhere, but I didn't know what they were back then!

cag you have done the right thing. I'm all for not letting bullies win, but this will make your dd much happier by the sounds of it. How's your nausea getting on now?

mammymammyIRL · 31/05/2017 22:29

Cag that is brilliant news, dd will be so much happier, that's your priority not whether bully wins or not.
Lonely your ex pil's sound mental Grin

CremeEggThief · 31/05/2017 23:08

Definitely the right choice, Cag.

Cagliostro · 31/05/2017 23:18

Thanks all. This is a new situation for me really and I never seem to know what I'm doing! Glad it has been DD's decision in the end though, she is happy and that is the most important thing.

Lonely I think it may have finally eased off! I have been taking cyclizine for about a week but now even when it wears off I don't seem to feel so sick and hopefully that's a good sign. Disadvantage is that I will now probably pile on the weight I lost because suddenly I can eat again :o Blush

Lovely lovely evening with DSCs round for game night. Fun and frugal (only spends were on snacks/drinks) :)

Loveabaconsandwich · 01/06/2017 06:37

Back to work today. Travel mug of tea and walked from the free parking near the station Halo .

Sounds like a good choice cag. Extra activities are meant to be enjoyable for DC

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/06/2017 07:06

Spendy day today
Ds is going with a friend to a skate park an hour's drive away so we will get food there as it doesn't finish until 5.
Picking up my butcher order.
Posting Lego cards
DD going to a sleep over but that won't cost.

Nsd yesterday £8 fruit.

Have to plan some shopping as I'm away at the weekend.

WreckTangled · 01/06/2017 07:31

Cag you definitely did the right thing.

I have to go into work for training today. Will park at the cinema for free, they have a four hour limit. The dc are going to my grandparents.

Laska5772 · 01/06/2017 08:16

I feel like i should go to work but realy dont want to looking like this.. eye is swollen up.. i know it will go down later but i am being a wuss arent I ? I can now balance glasses on nose but its sore.

northender · 01/06/2017 08:20

Sorry for radio silence, it's been a little crazy here!
Dh's eye is improving very slowly. He went to the eye ward on Tuesday & they confirmed it is a corneal ulcer [ouch] caused by his contact lenses (he'd put a new pair in that day). He's doing 2 hourly eye drops & has a separate lotion for overnight & goes back to the hospital today. No contact lenses for 2 months so we're going to have to spend on some decent prescription sunnies.
laska hope you're recovering okay, take it easy.
cag I'm sure that will be the best decision for your dd

I've got a PT session this morning which will be good but I don't quite feel up for it at the moment. May go for a walk with dd later as the weathers looking good. Ds is going to Blackpool on the train with his friends. Then need to do some more gardening

northender · 01/06/2017 08:23

Crossed post laska you're def not being a wuss to stay off work today, injuries to your head/face (however they are sustained!) need time to recover from

ememem84 · 01/06/2017 08:29

Have just sent an email giving our estate agent what for.

He has two weeks to find us another buyer or we pull our flat from the market.

He's been completely useless. Suggested an open viewing in two weeks time. They're not helping because we're not guaranteed people through the door.

If no buyer in two weeks we stay where we are.

AuditAngel · 01/06/2017 08:32

£3.98 on 2 kindle books. Have been considering kindle unlimited, but the books I want to read aren't on there. Just finished the Kay Scarpetta series.

There are some James Patterson ones I haven't read, but will need to get my Sony ebook out so I don't duplicate.

Girls at school sports club today (and DD1 tomorrow too) that was paid last week. Need to buy myself lunch, plus fruit/salad

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/06/2017 08:42

Have another day off laska.

Cagliostro · 01/06/2017 08:43

A corneal ulcer?! poor thing sounds horrible :(

needastrongone · 01/06/2017 08:52

Take another day Laska, rest and recover.

Ouch North, that doesn't sound great re your DH.

I've made £50 this morning, something has sold on Ebay and someone is collecting tonight.
