You're much braver than me wreck my bikini days are done (saying that the garden is so hot I could use some bronzee)! My empty 'baby bag' skin in far to glamorous to ever be seen again!

Bet you don't look like a hippo either.

Good news about your foot creme try to keep off it some more.

Two loads of washing dry on the line, sorted and put away; a new load pegged out and another in the machine...about six loads left on the hall floor upstairs Confused

Laska5772 · 31/05/2017 16:39

Ive been asleep since lunch time.. perhaps I hit my head harder than i thought.. anyway im sure thats done me some good.. looks like ive missed a nice day too! , maybe ill go wander up the garden.... I should get my outdoor cucumbers into their grow bags also .. they are getting too big for pots.. I did want to make a stand for the bags though ..
everything else is planted out ..

Laska5772 · 31/05/2017 16:41

good news about your foot.. creme that sounded so painful,

needastrongone · 31/05/2017 17:16

Poor you Laska, I agree, a good sleep WILL have helped. You had a dreadful fall, give yourself some time to heal.

Creme, that sounds like good news at least. Fingers crossed all the foreign matter is out of your foot.

Bet you don't look like a hippo wrecked, you've posted photos before, you have a lovely figure. I still wear bikinis, I work bloody hard in terms of exercise and feel comfortable with my body for the first time in a long time.

Home Bargains and Aldi are my go to places for cleaning products. White wine vinegar is good too, and Zoflora is a miracle product.

Maternity bras Em? I agree re the birth plan, how can you possibly know how your labour will work out. Open mind and as relaxed as you can. I was far less tense with DD and actually had quite a lovely (if long) birth.

Been at work today, paid DH's debt of £10. £70 on fuel this morning but need to do a mileage claim.

Lots of shoes have been delivered, I'm keeping one pair I think. DH is very chilled about what I buy and I am savvy enough to know how much I can spend monthly. We've saved tons this year, so a few spends on luxuries will be posted on here in the next few months.

allthebestplease · 31/05/2017 17:16

lask poor you 😎 dark glasses are in order.
Kar we used to give ourselves a spending allocation but have actually stopped that as we were/are in too much debt so have gone Bear Grills and pretty much nothing is allowed to be spent for luxuries/fun/clothes etc. I was spending so many little amounts thinking that was ok. But the debt was still there. We are super tight at the moment but it won't be forever.
But if you have spare cash and no debt then an allowance is obviously fine. 😀

Life, cards posted today, think there was 8/10 packs. x

SunnyLikeThursday · 31/05/2017 17:42

We had a good day today. We went to a museum that is half an hour away down the motorway (£45 for three Shock). That's the first time I've done fast driving since burning out a couple of years ago, so that was another little milestone. We also dropped into my old office and saw some old friends, which was great.

Our new car is working nicely. I discovered that it has a button that makes it all comfy and slow, just the way I like it. It's called "Eco Pro". If I push the button the other way it changes to "sport+" which makes the car feel as though it's had far too much caffeine. Eco Pro is the place for me.

We also went to a play park for an ice cream, and I'm properly sunburned now, so it is definitely summer.

Laska5772 · 31/05/2017 17:52

Thanks I dont feel quite there yet. You are right i need to let myself get over shock , although it was such a silly small thing to happen it didnt feel too bad this morning ..so I have just texted boss to say I may not be in tomorrow either.. Ialso realised earlier I had bitten the inside of my mouth and that hurts now also ,( and teeth do a bit also ).. Feel such a twit..

Its too hot and bright to be in garden without sunglasses .but plants doing ok..I just put the cues in growbag so a small job accomplished .. Annoyingly there is blackfly on runners already Angry we have only a small bit of bug spray left.. ill have to go to garden centre tomorrow.

Air ambulance lady just came round I think she was a bit taken aback when I answered door. Grin

wrecked and lonely I still wear a bikini! It might be a bit meh at my age, as im not exactly flat stomached, but I dont care ,(you see plenty of larger women wearing bikinis on Greek beaches ). Bra size bikinis like Freya, Panache and Fantasie l are the way to go.. I always recommend Leia outlet and belle lingerie on the S&B board for' last years style' bargains..) .

need we have to see the shoes before you decideto give you our opinion Smile !! .. I am currently pondering this dress?...

karcheer we have joint household account which we each transfer £600 in each month . ( but we dont have a mortgage or kids at home any more) and I budget all bills on yearly average from that by allocating proportions into categories using YNAB). Monthly food and petrol comes out of that.

On personal spends we have about £200 each out of our personal accounts. and the rest we save, this pays for hols and other big stuff. It seems to work for us.. DH does pay train fares also out of his money as he works away , but i save for yearly car ferry pass - which those of you not living on an island wont need!

Fluffycloudland77 · 31/05/2017 18:00

£12 deposit for a training course. Not a NSD day after all.

LonelyOversharer · 31/05/2017 18:20

Laska my batshit crazy ex in laws used to live on the IOW. I swear I only stayed with ex so I could visit there. Sooo beautiful, but it's the most expensive bit of water to cross in the world I think, in cost/mile.

Have just logged into each of my credit cards and made payments, the total is eye watering, but I have almost 2k "available" rather than being maxxed out. Sigh.

needastrongone · 31/05/2017 18:21

I really love that dress Laska, really versatile colours. Great for Greece.Smile

I'm keeping these.....

May we continue our furious frugaleering into June : )
needastrongone · 31/05/2017 18:29

Undecided on these and will probably exchange for a different colour.

WreckTangled · 31/05/2017 18:31

Love those need and love the dress laska. I don't really care what people think of me in a bikini really but I want to look toned and I am really not!

Frugal win! My mum has just said she will pay for all the decorative things I need for dd's afternoon tea I'm doing for her birthday.

needastrongone · 31/05/2017 18:31

Least favourite but look better on. Stupid price really for the wear they will get so going back.

needastrongone · 31/05/2017 18:44

Great stuff wrecked, how kind of your mum.

Credit card limits are crazy aren't they lonely?

Quickly listed some stuff on EBay. Paperwork morning tomorrow as per MSE suggestions. Got it all ready.

Right, off to running club.

Laska5772 · 31/05/2017 19:00

need Oh Why did i ask ? I now love/need those Nariz sandals in orange..(and pink but wouldnt get pink as I am a mudgrubbler!).

There is a small independent shop in Newport which sells Nomads, so Ill go there to see if they have that dress before I order. Good to support the local shops where we can

Lonely yes people do say that about the solent feries ,am not sure if its true.. We do get 'Islanders rate's though, and I tend to use more of our tickets inthe summer when it is cheaper to use our car ticket pass.. the winter deals can be pretty cheap.. Where did the Batshits live? (there's lots here! maybe I am one!)

Wreck I am not that toned but not too bad consideringthe little exercise I do - walking mainly lots of hills!- Legs arms bum are ok and about a sz 12 but sadly am 14 or even 16 sometimes on top (due to norkage ).. The middle section?? . Hmm ..

Laska5772 · 31/05/2017 19:02

need are those Nariz narrow fitting?

Laska5772 · 31/05/2017 19:06

Oh heck and I have just discovered that a huge bruise has appeared on my right boob during the day! You really do have to laugh! Smile

ememem84 · 31/05/2017 19:17

laksa love the dress. need no just regular bras. I asked about maternity bras and the lady said in the shop not to. She said I can get cheap maternity/nursing bras from new Look/George so not to waste money if it's only temporary. Her view is that given how far along I am my boobies will probably stay like this. 😮

ememem84 · 31/05/2017 19:19

I have just seen that I can buy 4 bras from the same brand from John Lewis for £86. So have ordered and will return the ones I bought today. Frugal win...?!

Laska5772 · 31/05/2017 19:31

Em also look at Leia and Belle lingerie (as I linked above) for bras .. I've bought from them loads of times. Both do free delivery. Belle dont do free returns (but bras never cost much to post) but Leia do , and both do 7or 8% discount through Quidco.. Definately a frugal lingerie swimwear option!

ememem84 · 31/05/2017 19:44

Thanks laksa will bookmark it to take a look on payday....

Cannot really justify any more spends.

LonelyOversharer · 31/05/2017 20:13

laska I think they lived near Newchurch, just up the hill from the zoo/safari park place. It has been 12 years and I've tried to wipe them from my memory

I'm going to have a look at those bra websites. I have a thing about the 'perfect' bra. I am yet to find it!

Good idea em non wired maternity bras are revolting and you can pick up cheap underwired feeding bras online, they don't block your milk ducts ime.

ememem84 · 31/05/2017 20:41

lonely my I favour Chantelle bras. The fit is good and they're comfy. And come in pretty colours. They are spendy though. But on 30% off in John Lewis at present.

Lunches made for tomorrow. Salad with couscous and eggies
