4 hours overtime we went to an outdoor museum. £5 tea shop.
Dh spent £30 aldi, £4 footy. I will do sainsburys shop tomorrow in batches of £10.

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/02/2017 17:40

Oh and £10 Chinese

AdoraBell · 04/02/2017 17:50

£4.75? Packet of coffee in Tesco
£5.20 greengrocer
£32 butcher
£8 buying DH ☕️ and 🍰

Then he bought lunch. Extravagant, but he's off again tomorrow night and will be away for most of the month, apart from one day at the end of next week.

Taytocrisps · 04/02/2017 17:51

Oh, I should have said that we shared a bottle of wine. Not a bottle each Smile.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 04/02/2017 18:41

Had a nice day, dd had a good riding lesson and I made the cake for the bday cake this afternoon. So far so good although have yet to put it together Grin

We went to a local Messy Church this afternoon for the first time, was very nice and dd enjoyed the crafts. As an added bonus we got a free dinner as well.

Picked up some butter for the icing and some liquorice both of which are for the cake £2.70.

SnugglySnerd · 04/02/2017 18:49

Hasn't it been a beautiful day? Dried the towels on the washing line! They are damp but can finish on the bannister overnight so no tumble dryer use today!

Spent about £8 on soft play plus drinks, I'd have preferred to enjoy the sunshine in the park and not spend 8 quid but had arranged to meet friends.

DH did a full freezer and cupboard inventory this afternoon and I have made a meal plan that doesn't require any shopping!
Will still need to buy cat stuff, fruit, yoghurt and a couple of cleaning items but hoping to save lots on shopping this week. Then have lunch with friends on Tuesday and yoga to pay for but that should be it for the week.

Making Jamie Oliver veggie Gurkha curry for tea, it smells lovely!

ChristmasSeacow · 04/02/2017 19:09

Tayto sometimes spendy weekends are worth it, especially if you get to spend quality time with friends. Sound like you had fun.

After someone mentioning chips the other day we are having home made burgers and oven chips tonight. And salad - I splashed out on a perfect avocado, am really looking forward to it.

It has indeed been a beautiful day. Hoping for a good day tomorrow too. I have uncovered a giant bubble wand that I bought a while ago and then buried under various bits of junk in my study. I think DS will love it. The garden could also do with a tidy up so we might just go out the back or to the local park. It's been a lazy day today, my only real exertion was to make scones. We all had afternoon tea together at the table, including DS. It felt like a special occasion and one of the very few times I can remember the three of us eating the same thing at the same time.

Needastrongone · 04/02/2017 19:11

Oooh let me know how the JO curry goes Snuggly, I haven't made that one yet.

Glad you had a nice day Girlie.

Lovely gesture Tayto from the IL. Very kind.

Adora I know that feeling, re DH. Haven't seen DH hardly this year and when I do he's a grumpy git, as he's so tired.....

Dogs open up all sorts of conversation Meadow. Smile

I have spent all fricking day picking up DC or dropping them off. Last one at 7.40, from the gym.....

SnugglySnerd · 04/02/2017 19:40

It was delicious, Need and very easy. If I make it again I'll use slightly less yoghurt at the end as I like a hot curry!

mammymammyIRL · 04/02/2017 20:13

Yes girlie he is but I'd love to have a timeframe. I cried at lunch today in front of dd Blush so he took the dc to dds Relax Kids class & to do the shopping & I went to bed slept from 1.30-5pm despite sleeping from 9.30pm - 7am last night (except for 3Hmmtrips to the loo)
This took an argument as he claimed he only offered to take dd to her class not to do the other jobs, I countered with that this is what I do every sat & both of us driving 26 miles round trip wasn't really helping me at all but just to make himself feel like he was contributing.

mammymammyIRL · 04/02/2017 20:14

Wreck where you are looks beautiful

IdStillRatherBeKnitting · 04/02/2017 20:16

Quiet day, weather bloody awful. Where is this super weather of which you speak?

Moved some things around at the shop, and every customer commented on how tidy it was. I am putting in a high work table where the sofa was, to do my crafts on- I need a machine and cutting table to re-cover said sofa (its a bike shop honest).

Spent £7 in the coop on the way home on milk and millicano as the big tins are half price.

em looks like poor catface has passed out from all the stress. I love a proper tabby cat (had one when I was little).

CremeEggThief · 04/02/2017 20:19

Broke Dry January, with a couple of bottles of cider and a cocktail, with some folk from work. Then I saw "Trainspotting 2", which I loved too. Might get a bag of chips on the way home, while waiting for my 2nd bus, or I might have a pizza when I get in. Good day!Smile

WreckTangled · 04/02/2017 20:28

mammy we went to Portsmouth today Smile

Tryingtosaveup · 04/02/2017 20:31

Busy today working all day.
NSD really but had to buy stuff for lunch for everyone but will claim it all back.
Cold here this morning when I left home at 7. It looked really warm out (not sure it can look warm, but you know what I mean) and was surprised to find the car all iced up.
Feet up now, wood burner lit. Will read all evening.

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/02/2017 20:34

I'd, you need to come further south. Twas lovely in Co Durham today.

mammymammyIRL · 04/02/2017 21:32

PeoniesforMissAnnersley · 04/02/2017 21:59

£42 on groceries plus £12 on fruit box which comes Monday and lasts all week.
Had a work catch up this afternoon after watching 3 episodes of the worst witch on iplayer - nowhere near as good as the 1990s version.
Lunch out tomorrow.

SnugglySnerd · 04/02/2017 22:05

Peonies did you ever see the film version with Tim Curry and Diana Rigg? I watched it until the tape wore out as a child!

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 04/02/2017 22:24

Was lovely and sunny here all day so I hung the washing out and was extremely cross when it peed down at teatime (may have even shaken my fist at the sky Blush Grin )

PeoniesforMissAnnersley · 04/02/2017 23:24

snuggly yes! I had a massive crush on Tim Curry as the wizard Blush

WreckTangled · 05/02/2017 06:23

Argh. Our locking wheel nut key is broken. I've googled loads and not sure what the best thing to do it. Apparently it's really common with Peugeots. We have the worst luck with cars.

mammymammyIRL · 05/02/2017 07:32

Could you try a local scrap yard for a replacement wreck?

After napping yesterday afternoon & going to bed at 9.30 last night I was awake shortly after 4am, and dozed & read my book & Facebook until dc woke at 7.15am. Fire on now & cozying up on couch with mumsnet.

Hopefully dh will be amenable today & I'll run with running group at 10.30

WreckTangled · 05/02/2017 07:54

mammy pretty sure they're specific to each car

Fluffycloudland77 · 05/02/2017 08:05

Yeah you need to go to a dealership, take the V5 with you in ase they ask for it.
