Need I'm not a perfume person really go through phases. I've one in chest of drawers just inside front door as I often think of it on a night out & won't go back upstairs for it & a bottle in toilets at work so that it'll get used Grin

This new one could become my signature scent however Smile

Taytocrisps · 04/11/2016 09:28

mammy I'm aiming to get there early and finish window shopping by lunchtime. Then maybe go to the cinema in the afternoon.

mammymammyIRL · 04/11/2016 09:31

Tayto my friend told me she went there this week, and only stayed 15 mins as there was nothing thereHmm I think she just mustn't have been in form for shopping as it nearly takes 15 mins to walk h & m Grin

Sounds lovely

Needastrongone · 04/11/2016 09:32

At £4.99, you easily could do so!

Not frugal, but our instructor make us do crawling plank last night and I ache all over today. That was the hardest thing I've done in years!!

mammymammyIRL · 04/11/2016 09:40

€4.99 even better!!!

mammymammyIRL · 04/11/2016 09:40

Here ya go WinkGrin

Cagliostro · 04/11/2016 11:03

Ah, you guys are all so lovely Thanks thank you x

I haven't found the glove yet! I think I must have dropped it outside somewhere. Oh well.

Teaching this afternoon although only getting one lesson fee as the other class has been lesson-swapped for the lego workshop (where I the kids got to keep the lego) the other week which their dad ran. DH is currently doing the second sports club of the day, so all in all a lucrative day. :)

Should really tidy up before they get here... meh!

Even better price Mammy!

Further spends.
£60 dog groomer, I forgot earlier when I posted spends.
£50 Boots.

I got a lot for my money at Boots. Shampoo/conditioner x 2, half price. Some stocking fillers for DD and DS (bit of chocolate and smellies) And a Jack Wills rucksack, with toiletries inside on offer at £25. Used a voucher to get me 10% off and a double points voucher.

If anyone needs to buy for a teenage boy, there's lot of stuff in Boots, not all as much as £25, lots of price ranges. But popular teen brands.

CremeEggThief · 04/11/2016 13:42

Thanks for the tip, Need. Struggling with what to get DS this year, so thinking clothes and toiletries might work.

NSD; first of the month! I managed 10 last month.

Have a good weekend, everyone. Wreck, enjoy being a maid of honour and forget about frugaleering until after the wedding.Smile

Tryingtosaveup · 04/11/2016 16:40

Anyone any idea when Black Fruday is as I want to get my pressies then.
£56 on diesal but car was empty.
Will catch up later.

Fluffycloudland77 · 04/11/2016 16:50

End of November.

northender · 04/11/2016 16:56

Last full day of the holiday here. Bonfire on the beach tonight and fireworks which sounds good. We've had a great time and have managed to be fairly frugal. Will know for sure when I've updated my spreadsheet at home tomorrow.

I'm working Christmas Day & New Years Day this time. I haven't worked Christmas Day since pre dc so I've had a good run & there are those in the team with younger dc than me so it's time to take my turn again.

Cagliostro · 04/11/2016 17:10

Still catching up on the thread. It moves sooooo fast! I love how chatty we all are though. :)

My swapped-for-Lego class was cancelled as my friend couldn't get here :( got another pupil in a mo though which will earn some money. I got more than expected for my lesson yesterday too.

Sports club went brilliantly today. Sorry I keep going on about it :o I'm just so happy for DH. And the kids who come along too - really great to see their confidence increase and they have all had sports that they've really taken to :)

I think really at the moment we're kind of breaking even, well slightly better than that actually but basically DH is getting some sports equipment every couple of weeks but it gets paid off within one or two classes. But we've got the equipment we need for over 10 sports already, so that's pretty good going as the pupils are getting a lot of variety. It was greatly helped by a new Decathlon store opening near here! We've agreed he's not going to buy anything else until new year as now the weather might be against us soon (thankfully it held out until just after the class finished today!).

Good lord, pitch black outside and it's only 5pm :(

Frugal win, DH got me a hoodie for only £7 reduced in Primark and it's sooo snuggly! Sadly they only had one in my massive size but will look out for another one next time I'm there. He got DD a dressing gown as she's been asking for a while, TBH I would've perhaps waited for Christmas as it's a Marvel one but then it's cold now so I guess she needed it. She's never worn one before, so I've never bought one since she was 3 and refused to wear the one I got her then. She's now snuggled up in it having made us all hot chocolate. DS still refused so that's money saved!

SnugglySnerd · 04/11/2016 17:20

NSD for me and almost for DH but he bought doughnuts so I'll let him off!
Happy weekend all!

Cagliostro · 04/11/2016 17:21

Snuggly - how old are the HE children you are looking for a present for? And what budget?
This is the chemistry set I got, I really like it as it's much more grown up and 'proper' than some others which are more like toys really. So less flashy but DD is really enjoying it.

Are there any topics they're enjoying at the moment, as I often choose presents based on that for my two - like DD is obsessed with Greek myths so any toys, books etc based on that (and Percy Jackson!) or dinosaurs etc are a sure hit. I am eyeing up this book at the moment, we already have the Greek mythology one and DD loves it so much she takes it on sleepovers :o

I am perhaps biased :o but a board or card game could be good. Also models, DS adored a 3D puzzle thing of St Basils at Christmas, and for his birthday a friend gave him an Usborne cut out castle thing which he's enjoying building.

Absolute shocker of a day today. I have never wanted to stab my colleagues more than today.

But. It's the weekend now and I'm off until weds!! Currently sat in the car waiting for dh "drowning" my sorrows in a bag of haribo giant strawbs. Grin

Stopped in "Tesco" on the way to the car for crisps dips and beers. Dh is making pizza. Grin

Mummyshortlegz · 04/11/2016 17:26

Managed to get in and out of the range without parting with any money. I was looking for small bottles to put gingerbread syrup in but no luck. Lots of fun stuff for the children to look at and Father Christmas will be shopping there.

Used a birthday gift card to buy six large balls of wool to make six Christmas presents. I am knitting all the men scarves and giving it with a bottle. I'm hoping it'll be ok for people. The women are getting home made soap, truffles and some gingerbread syrup. The kids I'm supposed to be making personalised blankets using my new to me sewing machine and some red fleece blankets from IKEA. Too nervous to try that yet!

Mummyshortlegz · 04/11/2016 17:27

Aiming for a very frugal Christmas!!

Cagliostro · 04/11/2016 17:34

Or interesting DVDs - Horrible Histories, Roman Mysteries drama, nature documentaries?

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 04/11/2016 19:40

Hi all thank the Lord its Friday Grin such a busy and tiring week! Am very tired and looking forward to not getting up too early tomorrow. Got in from work and had a nice relaxing bath (tried not to worry about the water bill!) and did a fish n chips from the freezer.

Managed another NSD think thats 4 this week which is not too shabby.

Plans for the wend are tomorrow dd has riding in the morning, will have a quiet afternoon at home I think although may need to pop to Lidls at some point. Tomorrow evening will go to a fireworks display.

Have semi decided that on Sunday will go to a local discount village as dd needs a new winter coat and boots and I need work shoes plus hoping to pick up some Christmas presents..... if we go it will be very spendy!!

Still no heating here either although my little oil burner radiator is doing a sterling job Smile

mammymammyIRL · 04/11/2016 20:32

Work has been super crazy past couple of weeks & I'm in again in the morning at 6.45am Sad

Think I've found ds's main Santa gift too so am happy about that as it had been playing on my mind.
