It just seems to be a never ending expense fluffy.

:(

Ipsos · 06/05/2016 17:03

We had our meeting at school today and the EWO basically said it's really sad that Ds hasn't been healthy for four weeks in a row since he started reception. He said it's fine to have afternoons off if that helps him, and was glad we're seeing a pediatrician. Phew!

Fluffycloudland77 · 06/05/2016 17:09

Yes, but owning a car for a year then trading it in says desperate. The motor trades one goal is to have your pants down. quite literally with some salesman.

How long is the agreement for.

WreckTangled · 06/05/2016 17:48

Brilliant ipsos!

We're having a bbq tomorrow so food shopping will be pricey.

I made spaghetti carbonara for dinner but I had bacon salad with green beans was really nice. Have been so busy it's the only thing I've eaten today!

WreckTangled · 06/05/2016 17:49

Oh and I did the shred again and ab challenge Grin

lilacclery · 06/05/2016 17:56

Wow wreck you will be wrecked!

Bacon salad sounds lovely too

WreckTangled · 06/05/2016 17:59

You mean ripped lila Wink I'm not sure how long I'll keep it up! I will have something else to eat in a bit.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 06/05/2016 18:16

Hi all, have been working today and it has been baking hot Shock lovely although would have been much nicer if I wasn't at work!!

Spends £3.80 on ice creams after work for me and dd - it was emergency as we were very hot Wink Grin

Need hope your dd is feeling better bless her.

Lila I guess you just have to see how it goes with your dh, I can see why you want to work at it but you do deserve a happy, fulfilling relationship as well. Then again I am quite black and white about certain behaviours which is probably why I'm single Wink

Not great news about my diabetic cat, his bloods weren't good so vet wants him in next week for more tests Sad think it might be pancreatitis or another problem causing him to be insulin resistant.

Dd is knackered so watching a dvd and will am planning an early night...

CremeEggThief · 06/05/2016 18:34

Ipsos, I am glad the EWO is sympathetic and sensible too. It must be such a relief for you, and good that it's resolved quickly too.

8FencingWire · 06/05/2016 19:06

lilla, there's some left for you under the kitchen towel waiting for you. Which, incidentally, is a school towel. I've used mine for the past 8 years, what was I supposed to do with it?!
dont, you mean you have to pay £12,000 to own it at the end?! I have finance on a car, it was £10,000, I put a deposit down and I have 3 years at 0% and a final payment of £4000

needastrongone · 06/05/2016 19:06

Working in baking hot weather is crap girlie, I find it strangely exhausting. Especially given what you do. I hope the cat is ok, that's a worry for sure. In terms of long term medication, finance and just him feeling well, bless him.

lila and girlie, thanks. She was still being sick this afternoon but seems brighter now and is watching some TV. She will be fine tomorrow, 'tis only a sickness bug, she will bounce back.

Grin at wrecked, or is it ripped Wink

Creme, I have tea towels and calenders for all the DC's primary years Smile

Just waiting for DH, then I have made a chicken recipe from a book called Persiana, involving chicken, preserved lemons, olives, and spice. Served with crusty bread.

Can you all remind me how much stuff I have in the freezer and cupboards to use please?!

Wolfcub · 06/05/2016 19:08

Signing in. Happy May everyone

8FencingWire · 06/05/2016 19:10

Posted too soon, sorry. So, you mean the final payment is £12,000?

CremeEggThief · 06/05/2016 19:15

I've kept my DS's teatowel from Reception in a memory box! To be fair, I don't use teatowels anyway.

Need, that sounds lovely. Can I have my portion with tofu, big field mushrooms or hallucinations, please?Grin

needastrongone · 06/05/2016 19:21

Grin Creme

CremeEggThief · 06/05/2016 19:25

OMG!Grin Halloumi!!

WreckTangled · 06/05/2016 19:48

Oh I see, I thought you were after the mushrooms of the magic variety Wink

Fluffycloudland77 · 06/05/2016 20:35

girlie your poor boy. I hope it's not pancreatitis, that's awful in any species.

dont Look through the finance and see how much you have to pay off before you can voluntary terminate the agreement. You're going to get hit on the finance if you trade it in early because they'll know you're pushed financially and will offer you a low price. I had to wait to voluntary terminate a car once but they offered me a low price and that was with dh working for them.

Years ago they'd pay your finance off and roll it into the new agreement but that's been stopped.

£60 work stuff & £12 Tesco but will get £4.79 off checkout smart.

beesarethebest · 06/05/2016 21:04

Checking in. Will catch up soon. Spent £4 on lunch and £20 on dinner (fish and chips on beach!!). Had to be done.

babsmam · 06/05/2016 21:12

LSD. Grin funny frugaleers.
We haven't had tea towels, plenty of other stuff too keep but not that yet.
Who knows what the weekend will bring.

Hello all! waves so much to catch up on.

girlie how's the house buying process coming along? Been thinking of you! Have you packed? Are you ready? Smile

WreckTangled · 06/05/2016 21:18

I think ds has hay fever. He suffered last year too poor monkey he's only three!

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 06/05/2016 21:26

Hello Collie have missed you!!

Did you have a nice time a way?

The house buying process is painfully slow at the moment, I think its because of the 3 way conversations between the housing association, solicitor and mortgage provider. Was hoping to be moving before my holiday but not looking likely now.

Need poor dd, not food poisoning or something is it? If its a bug hope you don't all get it!! Fennel tea is amazing for settling sore stomachs.

Creme am thinking of you singing in a field waving your arms about now Grin

Ememem84 · 06/05/2016 22:24

creme we found my reception class tea towel the other day. Hilarious!!

need I hope Dd feels better soon

£4 on two ice creams. One mint the ither rum raisin yum.

£12 on crisps humous and wine Dh made pizza and for dinner

lilacclery · 06/05/2016 22:57

Em I want to be you! Sitting out watching the waves, cuddling & munching crisps. Me & dh never had that couple time pre dc because his son lived with us. Every relationship evolves its own way but I think that time is good for a couple to just be together & learn to be a family gradually.

We don't get teatowels in Ireland at school we get school photos in cardboard mounts that can be used as frames. There was a DVD of their Christmas play though so I will buy one each year if they're done every year.

Great result with EWO ipsos

I must work for a bit of time tomorrow so I'm turning in night night Smile
