Sorry to hear that Fluffy. Sounds like a change would be good then.

Em sounds like your dh is having a hard time. Is there any chance that he could take a week off and try to get a rest? I sometimes used to find that I didn't realised how stressed I'd been until I had a holiday to calm right down back in the days when I got holidays

lilacclery · 20/05/2016 13:51

Arrgh my bank are doing 6% cashback on jdsports, cashback ireland also doing 6% cashback with them but they don't have sketchers Sad

Cagliostro · 20/05/2016 14:15

Shame, I love Skechers and I loved them BEFORE they were cool... I was about 12

NSD for me, DH needs bus/taxi fare as he's off to an ex-colleague's funeral :( they knew he'd been ill, but it was still sudden and not expected 'yet' IYSWIM. So a calm quiet evening here tonight, might play some board games or something.

8FencingWire · 20/05/2016 14:21

wreck, if you are diabetic, please go see the GP about your toe, if you haven't already.Smile

SpaceKablooie · 20/05/2016 14:23

Argh, frugal fail - the post person asked if there was somewhere they could leave parcels outside if we weren't in because we 'get such a lot' BlushGrin.

Cagliostro · 20/05/2016 14:32

agree Wreck about the doctors, feet are not to be messed with in any case! They do hold you up after all :)

Ooops Space! Blush :o

DD's party is a little more expensive than we thought. I think in the future we might say we'll do that instead of most presents although I'd find that really hard as I love present shopping a little too much or say that the money we are given by my GM is for the party (she doesn't mind at all how it's spent). Although I have also said that she won't be able to have a big party every year anyway, which she's cool with. :)

I have done absolutely sod all today, beyond poetry/Spanish with the DCs!

WreckTangled · 20/05/2016 14:59

Creme you can do apprenticeships (not sure if she is a factor?) or a business administration course. You can do home ones as well but it's a few hundred pounds.

I bought my first pair of scratchers back in 1996 when I was in Florida Grin

My toe is fine today but thanks for the concern Smile

Nsd other than £325 for Disney on ice tickets ShockBlush my friend will give me half.

lilacclery · 20/05/2016 15:04

space the dpd guy told me yesterday that I've calmed down a lot on my online shoppingGrin

Whataboutwhathuh · 20/05/2016 16:29

"Hi Hannah, I've got a massive parcel for you today!" The postman knows me too well

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 20/05/2016 17:01

Hi all its friday but as I am working all wend haven't really got that Friday feeling Sad hey ho, still going to ave pizza for tea and stick a dvd on Wink

8 sounds like we are in exactly the same situation, have you got kids? My mum came and looked through the paperwork last night and said it all looks standard, going to meet the solicitor next week to make sure I have signed in all the right places. I think when the day comes to transfer the money I may actually be sick Grin You are not in the South West are you?! Did you pay for a private survey on your house? The solicitor has recommended that I have one but don't think I can afford it plus its a brand new house so should be fine right.......?

Laska I would be a nightmare in any future relationships as am so independent and not used to compromising on anything Grin

Cag for dds bday earlier this year I cut down on the gifts a lot as her party was so expensive, explained to her she could either have an expensive gift or party but not both!! She wanted the party and tbf still got pretty spoilt on the gift front in the end anyway.

LSD 60p on Friday sweets for dd.

CremeEggThief · 20/05/2016 17:10

NSD. I'll read through properly later.

Whataboutwhathuh · 20/05/2016 17:19

NSD. Stopped dh going out for a haircut and more e cigarette stuff. He was not happy. We've got pizza from the freezer for dinner and I've managed to fit my muscle food order in the freezer. My hall is full of boxes of nappies from an offer at boots. Should last me till Christmas.

Tryingtosaveup · 20/05/2016 17:39

my DIL is an NHS podiatrist and she is stressed out of her mind. There seems to be more paperwork than patient work.
I recently bought a house on my own ( and I am quite old). I had no help at all and I was worried. But now I am in it's great to feel this is mine and no one can make me leave. It's very small but lovely. So don't worry, Girl, I am sure you will be fine. And it's great to walk out into my own garden
The house needs a lot of work which is why I am saving up.
Can someone tell me how to get the free Boots shower gel, or did I get that wrong?

Fluffycloudland77 · 20/05/2016 17:54

creme My local college does free courses for people who get child tax credits. The apprentice courses seem to assume you need maths and English skills.

Dedicated IT skills might be more useful, have a look at what the jobs require first.

Girlie We didn't have a survey, it was a new build so we assumed the building inspector had checked it.

em I would shove him in the spare room. No point you losing sleep.

£2.25 asda but will get 30p back
£2.20 sainsburys. Taste the difference bread flour. Ooh get me with the posh flour.

Am doing hm pizza Saturday night.

Fluffycloudland77 · 20/05/2016 17:55

Trying, it's an offer on O2 mobiles priority. You can always apply for a free sim and download the app.

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 20/05/2016 18:39

I am NHS and sooo nanny people are taking retirement earlier than they had planned to get out others are leaving its not great but for us younger ones 30-50 we have to move with the changes as depressing as lots of the cuts are services still have to be provided.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 20/05/2016 18:48

Yes Em I would stick him in the spare room as well and def tell him!! Can he try cutting down on caffeine, having a relaxing bath, camomile tea etc before bed. Does he do much exercise? I wonder if running or similar might help restless legs.

Thanks trying I know it will be worth it, just want this bit to be over!!

8FencingWire · 20/05/2016 19:00

girlie, I had to take something called indemnity insurance in lieu of searches at the solicitor's suggestion. ;)

8FencingWire · 20/05/2016 19:01

Indemnity policy, sorry.

PurpleRibbons · 20/05/2016 19:34

Happy weekend! Sorry about my very short and boring post yesterday, I am beyond tired!! Unfortunately DD is exhausted too and we both got a bit emotional at bedtime. She sat on the floor wailing refusing to have a nappy on and I just got exasperated. I hate that her day ended like that but we had a story and a cuddle and she seemed ok.
It was almost an NSD except I sent DH out for chocolate to cheer me up, I'm feeling a bit down in the dumps today. Also taking the cat to the vet tomorrow so that will be spendy.
Pleased your toe is ok now wreck.

AuditAngel · 20/05/2016 20:00

Hi all, thanks so much for the wishes for my mum. They have decided it isn't meningitis, but not what it actually is. Very frustrating.

Yesterday 40p for a drink for DS at dancing. He didn't like what we had taken for him.

Today £5.09 in Tescos, mostly bits to take to my mum tonight, £5 parking at the hospital.

AuditAngel · 20/05/2016 20:01

Fluffy where are you geographically? I have rotten feet and live a pedicure. Lots of dry skin, but very sweaty.

Fluffycloudland77 · 20/05/2016 20:10

Midlands.

Double base gel for callus & either anti perspirent eg sure or potassium permanganate foot soaks for sweat. Pp is great at reducing sweat.

ipsogenix · 20/05/2016 20:19

Em Is this what your dh is doing? If it is then it seems to be fixable:
sleepfoundation.org/sleep-disorders-problems/rem-behavior-disorder

ipsogenix · 20/05/2016 20:21

Yikes! I just read the rest of that website. Probably a good idea to get it checked if you think that might be it Em.
