Just been out for a walk. In the sun. Thought I'd share my view. It's not outing me too much.

This is why I put up with the high extortionate prices of living here. Days like this I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

£1.99 on a "99"with a flake.

And £25 on my riding lesson earlier.

Money Well done. Aldi is fab.

Mama

The shopping apps run specific offers. So they might say Amstel beer 500ml bottles are free in tescos. You buy the beer & when you get home click on the offer, photograph the receipt and upload it.

Then they pay you the money back.

Sometimes the offers coincide with vouchers in the Tesco magazine making them even cheaper.

The offers are limited so it's a good idea to check before you go and write detailed shopping lists.

Mse energy club is better, it's whole of market. My cheap deals didn't show on uswitch. It was cheaper for me to use different gas and electric suppliers. I have an independent gas transporter, the type of number on the gas meter tells you if you have one. Mse talks you through it all.

Need This is why we have led lightbulbs. Dh doesn't turn lights off 😡

NSD & I managed an erewards survey so I'm 300 nectar points nearer to getting the bench I want. 750 to go.

CremeEggThief · 16/04/2016 17:22

That's great news, Money. Well done!Wine

Nails sound lush, Need. I should have had mine done last weekend, but I still have some spring cleaning tasks, so I thought I'd leave it til after they're done. Even with rubber gloves on, one of my nails chipped when I was doing some deep cleaning 2 or 3 days after having them done.

Fab view, Em. It's freezing and we've had lots of heavy showers all day today. Both DS and I are having a pajama day though, so it doesn't matter.

NSD.

PurpleRibbons · 16/04/2016 17:30

That's great news money.
I'm a bit envious of your view Em, do you ever ride on the beach? I did in Cornwall once and it was amazing!
Spent £78 on a top up shop plus some camping stuff, we just need some better weather now!
I think it's collie who shares my beer interest, Tesco have some good ones for £1.50 each, nice IPAs and some Adnans ales plus a couple of American craft beers.

Unescorted · 16/04/2016 17:41

I may have to venture to Tescos. Aldi have some good ones in too -there is a really nice german wheatt beer for 1.25

Ememem84 · 16/04/2016 17:47

purple sometimes yes we ride on the beach. The pony I usually ride goes a bit nuts though. She's been on the beach before. But always forgets. And gets a bit excited.

We're only allowed to ride on the beaches during the day between October and may. And in the summer after 6pm.

WreckTangled · 16/04/2016 18:06

Lovely em Smile

Meal plan:

Pizza
Tuna mornay
Beans jackets
Spag bol X 2
Burgers with rolls and salad
Marinated chicken breast with couscous salad

WreckTangled · 16/04/2016 18:08

Oh and re topcashback after fluffy reminded me you can get them as tesco vouchers I've decided I'm going to get us all Merlin passes when it becomes payable. I've got £190 pending so will be able to get us each one. Will probably have to top up to premium as you cat use the London ones in August otherwise Hmm but we are an hour away from legoland and Thorpe park and chessington so I can see us easily getting more than our money's worth.

needastrongone · 16/04/2016 18:24

Thanks Creme, I have shellac, but I had to cancel my last appointment, then the girl I go to went on holiday so it was 5 weeks, I was in a business meeting last week and looked like a teenager with completely chipped, disgusting nails. I get them done as I walk the dogs, do the pony, chickens and my hands take a battering, the shellac makes them half decent. Are yours 'normal' varnish? A pyjama day sounds good.

Our pony is a dickhead in an open space, jumping, flat work he is a complete school master, games he is fully up for and on his toes but we need him to be, open space - dickhead. I'm not talking to him again 'cos he has ripped another rug.

DH is in a foul mood, so I am sat in the kitchen with a glass of wine and trying to ignore him otherwise he will get a mouthful. He's absolutely full of cold and has done a lot of miles this week so I can understand him being grumpy, but blimey, men let you know don't they? Grin

We are at a posh horse trials tomorrow, am going to leave my purse at home and stay out of the tack shops during the breaks. Have to leave at 7am, that's with all the ponies loaded and sorted so an early start.

CremeEggThief · 16/04/2016 18:32

Mine are gel polish, so similar to shellac. I'm currently rocking a 6 nails with polish and 4 bare look.Smile Best of luck with your horse trials tomorrow.
Right, best go and shove our pizzas in the oven, after chucking some pineapple and olives on them. We have black forest gateaux for dessert (freezer job from Sainsburys), so I'm looking forward to dinner.

babsmam · 16/04/2016 18:42

Oo that is an early start need.
£21 Amazon on a birthday pressie

Ipsos · 16/04/2016 18:44

This Junior monopoly is going down a storm. I must try junior scrabble next. WHSmiths is always full of such amazing stuff for using up time at home productively with kids. Smile

Unescorted · 16/04/2016 18:50

At 7 I will be mostly looking at the inside of my eyelids so I will say good luck now.

I may have to declare it wine O'clock too. No grumpy dh to contend with. We should have a "I got out of bed and made it work" medal to make them feel special.

Colliefeatures · 16/04/2016 18:51

Purple thank you so much for sharing the bargainous ale offer. We will pop in and top up for our little holiday next month. Smile we've got some 6% ale for tonight!

Em lovely view.

need good luck for tomorrow. The snuffles turn men into pansies. And your nails sound fab! Id love to have mine done soon. My cuticles are so dry! They look haggered.

money fab news!! Well done to you!

wreck I'm so jealous of your London day trips. And you are an hour from Legoland? So lucky! I'm an hour from Plymouth. And that's it

Don't I havent looked back on the thread but hope you don't get too poorly and hope you have a lovely trip away Flowers

We only spent 70p today. Smile

WreckTangled · 16/04/2016 19:01

Ipsos dd is desperate for junior monopoly but hasn't played it before she is the same age as your ds so I'm pleased to hear he is enjoying it. We have junior scrabble, twister(!), guess who and snakes and ladders as the main favourites.

Dh is horrible when he has a cold too. He just gets so miserable!

Ah collie yes we are quite lucky where we live I am grateful Smile

babsmam · 16/04/2016 19:01

Lovely view em
Let him stew need

WreckTangled · 16/04/2016 19:07

babsmam · 16/04/2016 19:13

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 16/04/2016 19:37

OK so who knows how to book cheap train tickets to London from midlands OK its takes as long as from Sussex (am meeting family) but its £30ish return day travel thingy for them and £70ish day travel card for me, I have tried singles, returns, looking on different days over past grew weeks, clearing cookies on computer.

IdStillRatherBeKnitting · 16/04/2016 19:42

Oh I see unescorted it's your dh who is buying and hiding the bike bits. We have customers who do that. One chap went a bit nuts on ebay buying retro parts for a project and had to keep it all in his van so his wife didn't find them (we have them all at the shop now, waiting for dp to build up said bike). I have to admit to ordering turquoise tyres and bar tape for my road bike this week, it gets a new look each year. But I don't get paid for being in the shop, so I take my perks where I can.

Managed a nsd!

em that pic is gorgeous. It hailed here today, and was about 2 degrees all day. Am very Envy !

WreckTangled · 16/04/2016 19:42

I always look on the train line. Where abouts in the midlands are you traveling from? Do you need a return or a travel card?
