wreck tell me about the shred!! I am so rubbish at exercise. Last week, due to good weather, I allowed the kids to scoot to school. I had to run some of the way as they were going too fast and I was worried they'll fall over. OMG, I nearly died. (seriously, not joking here). and then walked the way home with 2 scooters and OMG I really needed my inhaler by then (am asthmatic).

I need to lose some weight around the belly..... and I guess after that, all over.

several NSDs last few days.

Whataboutwhathuh · 04/05/2016 11:54

I have gone through my account and added up our spends and worked out what we have left for the month. It's going to be squeaky and dh has texted to say he spent £5 on a cab.

I've done my weekly shop and using a voucher I've got it at £36 delivered. That includes 8 rolls of kitchen towel and some clothes washing liquid so I'm pleased. I'm hoping the next two weeks I can do aldi for £30 max. I'm also going to eek out my fuel as much as I can. I need to buy presents for three people so that's not great but I have a budget for it.

WreckTangled · 04/05/2016 12:08

Why though Cag?! ConfusedAngry Bird

Bees I am so unfit too! I had to carry a scooter and a balance bike yesterday and they killed my arms. I like 30ds because it's only twenty minutes long. You had three 'circuits' which each includes strength, cardio and abs. I'm shit at cardio but I like abs because you get to lie down Grin all my weight goes onto my stomach too I'm a size ten but would rather be an eight. It's all on YouTube so if you have a smart tv you can watch it on there or obv iPad etc that's what I do.

Cagliostro · 04/05/2016 12:12

Presumably because the film's coming out, and I think MN are doing/have done one of their special preview screening event things? Although we never got a minion when they did the Despicable Me 2 preview :( Envy

I'm very unfit too, I get out for a walk most days but at toddler pace i.e. stopping to pick up every stone, stick, feather, leaf etc and waving at every bus and lorry we see. Fun but not really exercise!
Love the photo Audit, nice to hear about a celeb being so lovely.

WreckTangled · 04/05/2016 12:23

Oh I see! I quite like it but I'm not sure when I'll be able to use Grin

beesarethebest · 04/05/2016 12:56

I'm a size 10 too (recently 'promoted')....:( Always been an 8 as I'm 5ft 3 and small frame. now, even some 10s are tight. argh argh argh.... Angry Bird (there you go - I'm angry, and a bird)....

Karcheer · 04/05/2016 13:09

I have just got back from a lovely walk along the canal with my dogs, it's so nice when you do something lovely and all it costs is the cost of the car park.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 04/05/2016 14:24

What is the 30 day shred? I am normally a size 12 (5ft 7') but am drifting ever closer to a 14 and I have some clothes that just don't fit any more - I seem to permanently look about 4 months pregnant Blush I have tried to increase the exercise but Cake and Chocolate are my down falls!!

Any how just back from town, had a lovely catch up with my friend but have spent lots.

£50 in Debenhams, I finally got myself measured for some new bras and it turns out I have gone up 2 cup sizes Shock not sure when that happened but would explain why all my bras felt so uncomfortable! So bought 2 new bras, also got a bikini in the sale and new knickers for that.

£25 in boots on face cream (was 25% off) face wash for dd who is starting to get spotty bless her, san pro and hair dye (damn you greys - getting older is not good for being frugal as general up keep is more expensive Grin)

£2.50 lunch

£8 in New Look on 2 summer tops.

Think thats it, need to get summer stuff out and work out what fits and what I need to get.

ipsos if you do believe then I imagine you would get more out of Israel than I as a maybe might believe but not sure believer did. I was blown away by it all. Jerusalem is "the" city. Where everything happened. So much history. And it completely overwhelmed me just seeing the shows of faith that everyone seemed to have. In my head I wanted proof that all the bible things happened. We were 10k from Bethlehem. I saw actual frankincense on the market. I saw Jesus' bones. And the tomb. And the site of the cross (conveniently all moved to the same location). But that's proof. Maybe not proof enough for me to completely believe. But it's certainly proof.

I felt safer in J-town than I ever have in London. The Israelis don't take any shit. You behave. Or you get arrested. I was interrogated like anything at the airport on the way out (because I'd been to turkey on holidays a few years back) which really freaked me out. But. My boss just stood patiently. Waited. Then bought me the most huge glass of wine ever. And coaxed me onto the plane. Last night was so clear we flew over Greece and I could clearly see the Parthenon all lit up. From about 28000ft. Beautiful.

Home now. Cup of earl grey. Washing on. And am just sitting. Chilling out. Back to work in Tuesday.

WreckTangled · 04/05/2016 15:33

Bees are you me?! 5ft 3 too and always been an eight etc

Girlie YouTube it it's a really quick work out supposedly done over thirty days so you do work out one for ten days then move onto two and three

I have an application form for the job at school eek!

CremeEggThief · 04/05/2016 16:39

Frugal Fail: went to Aldi. Ha, not a sentence you usually hear, is it? As most of you know, I don't drive and I usually get a Sainsburys online delivery. But as I had to go to the town our nearest Aldi is in, I decided to do my shop there. I got loads for £35.60, £9.40 under my budget. Here's where it all went wrong though. My bus didn't show up, so I was stranded at the bus stop for well over an hour, with 6 full bags of shopping, including 1 where the handles had burst. Three different strangers even commented on how much shopping I had! So then I had to get a bus to another town where I could get yet another bus back to my village. By this stage it was 3 p.m. and I was starving, so I ended up forking out at Greggs for a late lunch (slice of pizza, latte and a doughnut!Blush). I should have been home by 1.45 p.m., but it was closer to 3.30 p.m. Spends: £3.50 original return bus fare plus £4.40 on 2 single bus fares; £4.30 Greggs and £35.60 Aldi. Total: £47.80. Next time I mention going to Aldi, remind me of this!Wink

Israel sounds very interesting, Em. It seems to have made a big impression on you.

CremeEggThief · 04/05/2016 16:42

What's the angry bird emoticon for?ConfusedAngry Bird

PurpleRibbons · 04/05/2016 16:44

Ooh I quite fancy this shred thing! I'm a 10 but creeping up into a 12. Losing weight would definitely be cheaper than replacing all my clothes!

WreckTangled · 04/05/2016 17:35

So we were at a group today which is held at pre school and run by one of the teachers. She's a lovely older lady. Ds walks up to her and goes 'bum bum bum bum bum' whilst smacking her on the bum 😱😳

Ipsos · 04/05/2016 18:08

That very interesting Em. Oddly, I think I have sort of faith safety net in my mind in which I think of it all as being slightly fictional. I'm not sure how I would feel if confronted with something resembling proof. I mean does that mean that we really do have to give all our money to the poor or go to hell? That would be a pretty stark realisation.

needastrongone · 04/05/2016 18:10

Grin at your DS Wrecked

I think I've mentioned before that I downloaded an app that's a pedometer a while ago. I only get the recommended 10000 steps when I walk the dogs for both of their walks a day, although I don't count what I do in the house. And I consider myself a person that doesn't hardly sits down!!

My only thing Em is the Israeli Govt's attitude to Palestine, that might morally prey on my mind if I chose to visit. My DM did go, and she is very religious, and it did move her immensely.

Just back from Parents Evening for DD. Really fantastic and I am chuffed to bits. She's predicted all A's (take heed anyone with summer born children, it took her a very very long time to catch up, really only well into high school), but it's her attitude to work that all her teachers are most pleased with. She's a 'doer' is DD, works hard, gets her head down and gets on with it. Keen to learn to keen to get on. This is because she has the pony, and has no choice if she wants to succeed. She lives in the shadow of her highly academic older brother, so I am glad she got to shine today.

In contrast, DS picked up his revision guides yesterday from school, I bought them in January, his first exam is in 2 weeks Grin

£7.75 on hen food.

needastrongone · 04/05/2016 18:12

I was a 6, now I'm a 6/8. I weigh the same as I always have, I just have wobbly bits that were previously not there Grin

babsmam · 04/05/2016 18:25

As a good catholic girl I should go to Israel. It's really interesting hearing your thoughts em as I wondered about the safety of it.
Rome was awesome for similar reasons so may look at Israel for a few years time.

£10 on the co-op. Soup just isn't right for today.

I'm a wobbly 10-12 depending on the shop. Not so bad if I maintain the toning work.

Well done need DD.
Sorry aldi was stressful crème.

Ememem84 · 04/05/2016 19:02

babs i was worried about the safety. But felt calm knowing my colleague had been loads before, and he wouldn't have gone if it had been unsafe.

There was a huge police presence in Jerusalem. And I felt safer there than I have done in London. The Israelis don't take any shit.

As I said earlier it's hot sunny and great food. (Apparently nice beaches in tel Aviv but we unfortunately didn't get there this time). So three of my main concerns for holibobs.

SpaceKablooie · 04/05/2016 19:20

If I'm selling things on eBay, when do I leave feedback for buyers? After they've paid , or after they've left me feedback? Thanks !

babsmam · 04/05/2016 19:36

After your feedback space. And defo after they have paid , not before incase there is an issue

SpaceKablooie · 04/05/2016 19:39

Thanks babsmam, it's been a while Smile.

AuditAngel · 04/05/2016 20:28

Yesterday I got into work, a bit later than normal (we have flexible start times) only to discover I had a meeting. Getting there mph you public transport was going to be tight, so I drove. £34 on petrol, £8.80 parking, both to reclaim.

Today £8.49 on a prescription for me. £20 to collect our duvet from the laundrette where it had been on a 2 month holiday Blush , then had to rush DD2 to the local walk in centre. She got lads of insect bites last year on holiday that came up like blisters. They have not gone down. One of them has become infected. Looks nasty, so she is on antibiotics 4 times daily.

Annoyingly some meat I bought last week looks like it has gone bad, so I'll feed it to the dogs.
