Ds and I have made chocolate chip shortbread (using ingredients from the cupboard) pretty tasty I must say. Gorgeous day will get outside in a bit so ds can ride his bike.

Colliefeatures · 17/03/2016 11:04

Oh girlie sorry to hear your DD is still unwell.

Today was supposed to be a NSD but my face is suddenly really inflammed & spotty Blush No idea why. Wondering if it's an auto immune, thyroid or B12 deficiency related thing. No idea. It hurts a lot so I'll need to get something from Boots or the pharmacist. And the bus to get there will be £3 too.

Ememem84 · 17/03/2016 11:17

So far nsd. May go for another walk by the sea at lunchtime. Smile

must not buy another icecream. But if I do must take picture this time and post

WreckTangled · 17/03/2016 11:48

We've been for a walk around the green.

Lovely pictures. It's a glorious day here, had a super walk with the dogs just now.

Spends, before I go out into the garden and make the most of the weather.

£36 Farm shop, meat for 3 weeks approx.
£26 Next, but returns taken back too, not sure how much yet.
£89 Boots, ouch ouch ouch. My moisturiser was £25 (lasts months, I'm at the age I think where it matters), sun creams for DD's skiing, shower gels, deodorants, BB cream, shampoo for myself and DD, lip block etc.
£16 base layer kit for DD skiing, reduced from £40.
£5 car wash.

£1.79 two packs of fish fingers & Oreos (yuck)

Sold a handbag on eBay but the fuckers signed me up to their global shipping & I don't want to do that so I've cancelled it. I'm not sending something to the Czech Republic only for them to raise a buyer dispute and have to refund them.

Girlie Where do you prick to do his bm? Is it paw pads?. Everyone at works all chesty, it's like going into a consumption sanitorium every day.

Colliefeatures · 17/03/2016 17:37

Hi all Fluffy its his ears, am so proud of him he just lets me do it and the injection, cat skin is so much tougher than human skin to inject!! Have been on the phone to the vet again tonight as his blood sugar was 27mmol Shock the vet said they like to give it a week before increasing the insulin but it worries me its still so high. Poor puss.

Dd is still feeling really poorly, think it might be flu Sad spent £10 on calpol, cough medicine and strepsils for her and another £6 on a dvd for her to watch. Being ill is expensive it seems!

Got my Morrisons shopping turning up soon.

babsmam · 17/03/2016 18:46

Spendy day. £56 vets, £38 hair, £42 dance fees, £3.50 b and q on tester pots, £3 morrisons on tomatoes and mini eggs. Going back on the diet after Easter as hopefully my cancellation physio appointment will give me an indication of what fitness I can do without making things worse
£65 sainsburys order for Saturday and aldi list written

WreckTangled · 17/03/2016 18:50

Oh no girlie your poor dd. Lucky girliecat having you Smile

Well ended on a nsd.

CremeEggThief · 17/03/2016 18:56

£7 bus fare to work, £4.15 on top-up shop (bread, salad leaves, a chocolate bar and yes, kitchen rollSmile) and £12.45 on a pub meal, as a lady at my p/t job is leaving next week. That was a main, dessert and 2 lime and sodas (being Irish, I had to get a bit of green in there somewhere, for St. Patrick's DaySmile).

babsmam · 17/03/2016 19:18

Get well soon girlie DD.

WreckTangled · 17/03/2016 19:22

How's work going creme?

Pointlessfan · 17/03/2016 19:42

NSD - hooray! Just remembered I need £1 for non-uniform day tomorrow. I gave all my cash to the window cleaner yesterday. I hope I can scrape it together in small change or I'll have to get a tenner out of the cash machine.
Hope girlieDDandcat are both better soon.

Ememem84 · 17/03/2016 20:21

£20 on dinner for me and dh. We had a pub voucher. A mystery envelope. Money off once you ask for the bill.

We had a delish bacon cheese burger and chips (me) and steak pepper source and chips (dh). Wine and beer. 50% off. Yippee!!!

WreckTangled · 17/03/2016 20:29

Love the sound of that em!

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 17/03/2016 21:04

Haven't caught up on thread, will read in a moment.

Kind of spendy day
£10 in mcdonalds (includes £3 on extra toys as dd wants to collect all the adventure time ones!)
£40 primark tights for dd, work trousers me and some new vest tops as mine are falling apart!
£15 on 3 busy books for upcoming parties.
£5 on the bus

But still round about on budget so all is good! :)

MinnieLatte · 17/03/2016 21:37

Welcome to newbies
Shamrock Happy St Patrick's day, I've been laughing at the thread about parents being Irish- so much of it rings true for me!

Crazy week, parents evenings, an inspection, you name it we've had it at school this week. DH has had to do everything at home & has just got on with it. You'll all be pleased to hear he braved Aldi on his own again & according to him was 'a trolley ninja' poised & ready for the shopping to come whizzing through the till!! The boy's learning!

Lots of NSDs as I've been locked in school all week, DH spent £40 in Aldi & £85 in Costco, I spent £43 on fuel but that's it for the week.

IdStillRatherBeKnitting · 18/03/2016 00:21

Flowers need I know so little about cancer, but I know you are being a brilliant friend.
Flowers girlie for your poorly dd and puss cat. At least you gave the skills to cope! My dear cat is 15, he's my oldest thing, and I struggle to get a wormer down him! I dread the day he gets poorly.

Spendy again Sad I really must get.a.grip.
£20 in lidl, £13 in b&m (new scales and toy for ds), and £46 in asda on loads on slightly un-nessary things. Got multi vits and dolce gusto... we have an event on on sunday (trying to be vague, dp organises cycle races ), and we do coffee and cake afterwards, so have major baking to do, so lots on ingredients. Took £30 cash out of the till to cover this, but spent on debit card.

Did get out in the sun for a quick pedal, which lifted my spirits a bit. My dp is ill...lots of blood tests, think it's his thyroid, but he's had to come off his naproxen as it seems to be eating the lining of his stomach as well. Awaiting more results to find out. I want him to be well, but it is one thing after another. Thank god we have the exemption cards for prescriptions as he got another carrier bag full of stuff today.

IdStillRatherBeKnitting · 18/03/2016 00:23

And hi to newbies! I find this thread so helpful. Simply detailing spends helps me so much, as it's overspending in shops that gets me into trouble. And the thread is so supportive, whatever your circumstances.

babsmam · 18/03/2016 06:31

Aldi today so about £40. £2.20 on lunch, £2 beaver, and have decided on a paint colour for the kitchen but will get that next week

WreckTangled · 18/03/2016 06:50

Hoping for nsd although I'm out of jelly babies (hypo treatment) so really should get some.

Ememem84 · 18/03/2016 06:54

£5 or so today as I need to buy lunch. A bit unfrugal but I've taken a pack up every day this week.

Still have £13 plus change in my purse. Dh is going to a black tie do tonight so I'm planning on sitting home and watching movies. Yippee!

Had a text yesterday from mobile provider. Have used 80% of my data allowance this month. So must switch my data off while I'm out and about.

supermariossister · 18/03/2016 08:22

Hi everyone sorry I fell off the thread i wondered why it had gone quiet and hadn't noticed the new thread as I was on my phone using the I'm on tab. Ds is away with school until tonight, it's been hard as I'm not used to him being away but I've got loads done at home. Ordered new fridge freezer 229 but 150 was Christmas gift from dad. Sold the smartthings system for 110 after fees and such which is great as only expected around 80, bought ds new joggers and ss new shirts out of extra - asda introductory sale where the clothes are £5 for a limited time (should be nine/twelve). Sd needs some clothes for upcoming holiday not sure where to go for plain leggings and vest tops no primary nearby or I would go there.
