Oh god can't keep up your speed Smile
Been away for a bit, way to many things happening... My friend committed suicide last week and we have been to the funeral this week, so feels like a lot of other stuff have been put away...

ItalianWiking84 · 14/01/2016 20:32

On a happy note dh bought his car today so he'll almost ready for the new job

SpottyTeacakes · 14/01/2016 20:40

Oh Italian I'm sorry to hear that Thanks

Girlfriend36 · 14/01/2016 20:50

Italian how awful Sad

Can't believe Alan Rickman has died either esp so close to Bowie dying and at the same age, very very sad. I love Alan Rickman in Die Hard and Robin Hood - he played baddies so well!

Spent £40 on petrol today but no other spends, loving the price of fuel at the moment - its amazing, can't remember the last time I could fill a tank up for £40.

Dd has a cold so is feeling very sorry for herself, probably didn't help that she was doing this bikeability course today which meant cycling about all day in the freezing cold!

lilacclery · 14/01/2016 20:57

Italian Thanks I'm so sorry about your sad news
Tesco came last night I had intended adding more to order & getting it delivered tonight but I forgot Sad got €56 worth delivered last night which is not enough so spent €96 in aldi tonight & €30 in butchers today.
Hoping for a half price shop next week around €75 and no butchers necessary. This will mean our overall spend on groceries in January is less than monthly average last year.

lilacclery · 14/01/2016 20:58

Fuel is brilliantly priced at the moment. My weekly spend has gone from €40 to €25.

fuzzpig · 14/01/2016 21:03

Oh crap. Need to do a shop after all. Just going to get it as close to the £40 minimum spend as possible and mostly get stocking up type stuff so as not to mess up the next week's first shop/meal plan, as I'm hoping to do it every Monday in future.

It's because DSD is coming round though (and we have virtually no food in!) so worth it :) :) hopefully having an anime night with her in the evening. I don't think she's been too happy lately, she just seems kind of deflated, so I'm getting some of her favourite foods in too.

Sorry to hear that italian.

I'm sad about Alan Rickman too, and Bowie, and Lemmie. It scares me they are all about the same age as my parents

SpottyTeacakes · 14/01/2016 21:11

Fuzz you sound like a lovely step mum

ItalianWiking84 · 14/01/2016 21:15

Thanks all... It's hard losing someone the same age as yourself... Grow up with her so seems empty now somehow
Dh and I have decided that January spend dosent count and will start again next month...

CremeEggThief · 14/01/2016 21:19

AdoraBell · 14/01/2016 21:42

Pointlessfan · 14/01/2016 21:58

laska I had a bit of a crush on him too, as Severus Snape mainly!

Ememem84 · 14/01/2016 22:15

Sorry for your loss italian awful news. I hope you're coping ok. X

I must live under a rock or something. Only just found out about Alan rickman. Sad for his family.

As someone above said he was so good at playing the bad guy.

someone on Fb earlier pointed out that if this is the year of "dead at 69" other slebs who could die include Dolly Parton. And Donald trump but no great loss there

Wolfcub · 15/01/2016 06:20

babsmam · 15/01/2016 06:29

Nsd planned today

NK5BM3 · 15/01/2016 07:28

Oh italian sorry to hear about your news!! ThanksThanks

Several NSDs other than cleaner money.

TGIF!

colliepirate · 15/01/2016 07:55

I've missed a few posts. sorry everyone!

Italian sending love & hugs.

I officially hate January.

January 2015 was horrendous and I thought it was a one off. But no - this January is just as bad. We've had a family loss already, a friend in a terrible crash (critical condition), and some douchebag drove into our car.

Hurry up February! January 2017 we will be either going on holiday or purchasing something really exciting. I'm starting a new "January Blues Fund".

Yesterday was a NSD. Today will be a NSD too. Another no spend week accomplished. Smile

I've had to turn down a job because it was too rural and the pay was much less than DSs childcare. I cried. And they wouldn't consider working from home.

colliepirate · 15/01/2016 07:58

I was also pretty sad about AR. There was something about him that I adored. And fancied a bit.

lilacclery · 15/01/2016 08:26

Ah collie that's horrible about the job

Ipsos · 15/01/2016 08:37

I see what you mean Lilac. I live in Cambridge so if you want hints let me know.

Ipsos · 15/01/2016 08:42

Sorry to hear about your new Italian. Flowers

Sorry to hear about the job Collie. Brew

My January is good so far. Going to touch wood now.

Whataboutnodetox · 15/01/2016 09:00

Italy I'm so sorry for your loss

Collie I am so sorry to hear about your awful month so far.

NSD planned again. I'm managing quite well to spend no money. I need to pay in a couple of cheques which may see me to the end of the month without the overdraft.
