HOORAY - success at Morrisons - £61 in total (including £7 on reduced Thorntons chocolate santa / chocolate snowman). £25 voucher deducted so £36.00 spent - only bananas went in my basket that weren't on my list and that was only coz I'd forgotten to put them on my list.

Fluffycloudland77 · 22/12/2014 21:13

Oops, £55 on the Boden sale Blush oh well got a really nice coat, shoes and trousers for that in next size up for dd, I had my eye on them ystd but waited till they were offering sale plus free p&p. The coat was the most expensive but it was one that even dd had said she liked (she is never that bothered about clothes!!)

Fluffy £10 tip?! Blimey that must have been a great hair cut Grin

Fluffycloudland77 · 22/12/2014 22:17

He's a really good cutter. Plus he's saving for a house.

I bet he made a fortune in December from Xmas tops.

Will be NSD here today. Have to go to Aldi to complain about creme fraiche I bought yesterday as when I got it home it had a date of 21 December useby on it so not happy at all.Xmas Angry I guess they are struggling a bit to rotate the stock and I'm a bit miffed that I didn't check as normally I do just in case.

Taking DS to feed ducks in park and to pay for wine and collect a further case as we used loads when Dsis and Bil were here.

DS is watching Frozen again! Xmas Grin

On line food shop coming this. Morning £100 but got a £50 voucher through nectar as nothing else to spend my points on. Have been saving them this year for the 'big' shop. Other than that baking today so no other spends.
Pick up christmas meat tomorrow so about £50 ish quid. Then done. No more. Nada.
Well...until the sales!

Can we do new year resolutions yet? I need to be more organised and budget properly and not just spend willy nilly until the money runs out then panic. I need to get back to meal planning and allocating cash for different pots and finally get my head around lunar pays and family budgets as I have had long enough to

i don't normally make them TBH but this year needs to be different.

Collie FB is sometimes more hassle than its worth. could you just hide them all. i did that with some people i was sick of and its been great.

well the food shop arrived 10 mins early and there was one subs. i have since got another bits and bobs list of half a dozen things i forgot to order until after the slot could be amended. i can live with going into town tonight to sainsburys for a basket full and they are 24 hours now so can go later.

Yesterday
22/12
£3.76 sweet shop (was more than this but DCs gave me their spending money for it)
£8.80 taxi
£1.92 hot chocolate at work
£3.65 bus

Complete nightmare of a day. Had to brave town with overexcited DCs, then when we had just started -failing-- trying to find the last few presents for people, I got a phonecall from DH in a panic asking me to take the DCs to his work instead of meeting him in town because he couldn't get away (they'd had theft, police were there). I had one hour to get there and back to work so decided to get a taxi, went to get cash out and my card failed! Went into the bank and turns out it had slightly bent (my card, not the bank) so even the cashier's machine wouldn't read it (so better than me being over my overdraft or something, which I had a brief nonsensical panic about). Obviously didn't have time to order a new one so had to get DH to get some cash, get in the cab, run into DH's store to swap DCs for cab fare (!) and get back in the cab to go to work.

The plan today was to wait for tesco delivery and then reluctantly go back into town to order a new card and do the last presents (vouchers. Fuck it.)... Then DD felt really ill this morning. Headache and really deep cough - she's now been sick too :( I think it's because of the coughing, it seems like mostly phlegm (but that may be because she's not eaten anything?). She's totally washed out.

She is really upset in case we have to stay home for Xmas :(

girliefriend · 23/12/2014 16:07

fuzzypiggy Flowers that does sound like a rough day. Hope your dd feels better really soon.

So £8.50 MacDonalds for me and dd,
£10 cinema tickets for us to watch Paddington. It was very good, we both enjoyed it.

Home now and psyching myself up for all the last min jobs and trifle making Grin

SpottyTeacakes · 23/12/2014 16:15

I got a payrise. I whole 1%. I know most people get nothing but what I get paid for what I do is just insulting. Humph.

CeeloWeevil · 23/12/2014 17:11

Got a small 'Christmas reward' in my pay yesterday! Which was gratefully received; it should see me through the next SIX weeks' housekeeping until I get paid again... Hmm

Just did a detailed post and lost it.

Anyway, had a couple of overly spending days.

Yesterday - taxis £26- ish
Official paperwork x3 £6
Roads £6-ish
Renewal of ID cards x 2, my paperwork had an error £8.10
Lunch £30
Last of DD's Xmas shopping £75
Mid afternoon coffee £5-ish

Today -
Roads £12 as needed to take both cars
Parking £3.60
Taxis £16-ish
Renewal of my ID card £4.05
Snack after lunch was cancelled £5.40

There is no parking where the govt offices for processing ID cards are and yesterday we took a posh taxi in the morning to be certain of sets belts for all. Today I went alone so used standard street taxis.

Tomorrow I need to buy fruit juice, veg, salad, eggs and ice-cream.

Will try to catch up later.

Happy Christmas to all frugaleers Xmas Grin
